I Ain't Afraid of No Goat! (October 2022 Scapegoat Blame Thread)
14Looks like September has ended (has anyone woken Green Day up?) and 2022 presses on still as we enter October looking for someone to blame.
Nothing against @MarkDaSpark, who handled September with minimal effort, but someone new will be accepting the blame for all things hallowed and even the things that aren’t. Seems like @mossygreen is ripe for the job and collected your votes nearly unanimously.
Halloween is coming up as well, so you can blame @mossygreen for the kids in your yard smashing pumpkins.

@mike808 Where is the 10 hour super cut?
From one Halloween goat to another, welcome to the Spooky Club!
@RiotDemon Someday, when one of us has nothing else to do, a list should be extracted. (Not me right now; I have bacon.)
@werehatrack like this?
https://meh.com/forum/topics/calendar-of-the-scapegoat
@RiotDemon @werehatrack
Hmmm, can we nominate @Thumperchick again for slacking (since July 2021!) on commenting for each new Goat’s listing?
So many missing comments!
@werehatrack
@MarkDaSpark She has an excuse. She was traveling. There are pictures.
@MarkDaSpark @werehatrack And employees are immune from being goat.
@MarkDaSpark @RiotDemon @werehatrack
@MarkDaSpark @RiotDemon @werehatrack I feel it’s worth pointing out that @Thumperchick was the 4th scapegoat ever…
@ExtraMedium @MarkDaSpark @RiotDemon @werehatrack Weird, I forgot I was the first spooky goat.
@werehatrack Traveling for a year?
Excuse me @ExtraMedium … “minimal effort”???
@MarkDaSpark I’m sure what was meant is that you made it look effortless.
@MarkDaSpark @mossygreen
A much better job than some we’ve had recently (a certain yakko and that hchavers guy…)
@Kyeh @MarkDaSpark @mossygreen You would think that they were positively disdaining the honor bestowed upon them so graciously.
@ExtraMedium @Kyeh @mossygreen @werehatrack
It takes time to find those memes!
Interesting tidbit on the morning news today. Candy Corn used to be called Chicken Feed. What they did not say is if they used to feed it to chickens.
@Kidsandliz There are some things even a chicken won’t eat. Possibly as many as three.
@werehatrack Ahh but goats eat anything… calling @mossygreen
@Kidsandliz @werehatrack BRING ON THE TIN CANS AND LEATHER PURSES
@Kidsandliz @mossygreen @werehatrack
@Kidsandliz @werehatrack
True - one of them being slugs (damn it!)
@Kidsandliz @mike808 @mossygreen @werehatrack
My dog prefers shit over candy corn.
@Kidsandliz @werehatrack I mean those little dinosaurs will absolutely eat chicken feathers from the one you just plucked. And broken eggs. They might eat chicken scraps.

@Kidsandliz @MarkDaSpark @unksol @werehatrack Once I was dispatching a future chicken dinner - I whacked off the head and one of the other birds came over, grabbed the head and ran off with it. Soon, three of them were fighting over it. Chickens are indeed disgusting little feathered lizards. (Tasty, tasty lizards.)
@2many2no @Kidsandliz @macromeh @MarkDaSpark @werehatrack
EW GROSS!! You know when you can’t just un see something…
Now I find this!
@MarkDaSpark I posted that a while back on some goat thread too. It’s a great image.

Although I hope everyone got it you never know
@Kidsandliz @MarkDaSpark @unksol I haven’t stopped to grab a photo there, but Winslow has a shrine at the intersection of the two old major routes through town.

Blame. I was dropping of donations of stuff to one of the animal shelters here I volunteer at. Almost all the employees come from the jail. The manager had left which meant the assistant manger couldn’t. She asked me to take a 10 day old kitten to the vet. It was hypothermic (the water bottle in it’s box had gotten too cold which didn’t help) so I had it against my chest over my heart to try to warm it while I was driving and didn’t have the AC on in the hot car. In the vet’s parking lot I was petting it for maybe a minute on the head before I was going to take it inside. It looked up at me as I was doing that. And then it shut its eyes and died while up against my chest over my heart. I am glad that is how it died with me holding it cuddled on my chest, knowing it was being held but that is just so hard. Likely the kitten was going to be put down anyway as it hadn’t eaten since the previous night and was refusing being force fed so something was wrong, but it just makes me really sad. I got one of my kittys at 10 days old (last year she died 3 weeks before she was going to be 20) which made it harder to have this one die in my arms.
@Kidsandliz I’m so sorry. I’m sorry it happened at all, and I’m sorry it happened to you. But if it had to happen, I’m glad you were there so that kitten didn’t die cold and alone. You did a hard thing today.
@Kidsandliz Ohhhh. That’s terribly sad - but it’s so much better that it got to have that last bit of love and comfort lying against your chest before it died.
@mossygreen @Kyeh I am glad I was holding her and she knew I was doing that as when I was gently petting her on the head she looked up at me. And I am glad it had my heartbeat to listen to since baby animals find that comforting but I cried and cried. In fact as I am typing this I am crying again.
I do think she may had died of hypothermia though as she was so cold. I don’t think the assistant director realized that the water bottle had gotten cold. And she may not have eaten today when the assistant director tried to feed her because she was too cold.
When my baby was that young she lived in my t-shirt pocket and at night I had an electric heating pad on low (with a blanket on top and made sure it didn’t get hotter than 101 - cat normal temp - in a box right next to me) otherwise she could have suffered the same fate. Baby cats can’t regulate their body temperature very well which is why they need to cuddle in a heap or with mom. And she was alone in a small box in a blanket. It is just really sad.
@Kidsandliz @mossygreen It brought me to tears reading about it, and then again a little while ago thinking about it. So sad.
@Kidsandliz
BIGGEST BLAME EVER-Walter woke up yesterday and things went down hill from there-didn’t make a sound, didn’t eat, had trouble holding onto food we gave him and finally was having trouble perching. Called the vet and took him over there. $ 500 later still waiting for some of an evaluation of the x-rays but its probably either a heart issue or he had a stroke. He did make it through the night which was a concern but probably going to take him the nearest ER that handles birds which is about 50 miles away. Poor Walter.
@Felton10 NO! I do not want to take blame for this or for it to be true at all! But I am contractually obligated. I am so sorry about this and hope you can get some answers (and healing). You take wonderful care of him and he’s a real fighter. I’m also sorry you have to drive so far.
@mossygreen Thanks-every bit of prayer helps
@Felton10
Oh no, big time prayers for our bigger than life friend! Come on Walterbird, hang in there buddy and get better!
@Felton10 Oh, I hope they figure out what’s wrong and get him on the road to a quick recovery! Please let us know how he’s doing.
Bird hugs:
@Felton10 Yikes!!! He is not even that old. I hope someone finds answers sooner rather than later and the problem is treatable!!!
@Felton10
Maybe back off the Wagyu steaks for a while?
Hope he has a speedy and full recovery.
@mike808 Certainly the chicken and the eggs plus this birds propensity for heart issues evidently played a part in his current condition.
So I have about a million web browser windows open due to hatred of organizing, procrastination (at the moment productive procrastination as I am procrastinating something else I want to do even less) and laziness. Been going through them one by one. Here’s the best ‘page can’t be found’ I have run into so far.
The site is backcountry.com so you have the context for this (of course now I have no idea why I had left the tab open. Guess it doesn’t matter at this point).
@Kidsandliz But how many of them are autoplaying music that randomly starts and stops?
@werehatrack ??? This is a site that sells backpacking, wilderness camping, etc. stuff. That is why I thought the “middle of nowhere” was so clever for page not found.
@Kidsandliz
Procrastination is good!
And I think @werehatrack meant how many of the browser tabs were randomly playing music.
*** raises hand *** (not in years, but it’s happened. )
@MarkDaSpark @werehatrack Oh. None randomly played music unless the browser crashed. Then when I’d reopen all windows from last session anything on youtube would start to play. Usually i remembered not to leave that tab open in any particular window. Usually.
@Kidsandliz tis good. But it’s no ringtone.
https://meh.com/forum/topics/something-went-terribly-wrong-1
WALTER UPDATE-after a couple of more x-rays, they decided the best thing would be to keep him the hospital overnight to monitor him to deal with his heart issue, lack of perching and his not eating. At approx $ 700 a night hope he doesn’t have to spend too many nights there.
@Felton10 Yikes. I hope he gets treated and makes a full recovery and gets home soon.
@Kyeh Well not that I didn’t want to spend money to see what I could do for him as evidently all those eggs and chickens contributed to his heart issue, but I didn’t want to throw good money after bad (now over 2k for yesterday and today) if there was no chance of recovery.
She said with any luck, change of diet and the right medication he could live up to 10 more years with his condition. Said the worst one she had was a bird whose owners spent 9k for hospital stay and treatment and the bird died.
@Felton10 Ayyiyyi… I definitely hope he gets better soon, and then adjusts to his new diet.
@Felton10 @Kyeh He’ll be 35? in 10 years? Trying to remember how old he is. I hope he does well.
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh He turned 26 this year so in 10 years he would be 36.
@Felton10 I am just seeing this and I am so sorry. Charlie and I will say prayers. Please keep us updated on Walters progress
@Felton10 I’m just seeing this, too, as i haven’t been keeping up with the goat’s shenanigans. I’m so sorry to hear about Walter’s tribulations. I hope he’ll bounce right back (& quickly, for your wallet’s health as well as his!) to being his usual adorable, spunky self before you know it. Big hugs to you both!
WALTER UPDATE-well not as good as we would have hoped, but at least no regression. Will be there until tomorrow morning unless he gets worse.
Nibbled at the strawberry I sent with him but hasn’t eating anything they have given him. Who likes hospital food anyway. They had to stick a feeding tube down his throat to feed him. He is on meds for his heart and antibiotics.
@Felton10 Poor birdie! Still hoping for the best … 🫶
@Felton10 oh, poor Walter.
@Felton10 @tinamarie1974 Hopefully as he gets food in him his appetite will return.
@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 They are feeding him by putting a tube down his throat. I’m sure he doesn’t like the pellets they are giving him and no fruit.
@Felton10 @Kidsandliz no I am sure he doesnt, but if it helps him get better…
@Felton10 @tinamarie1974 But if what he really needs most for his nutrition to eat is pellets then too bad if he doesn’t like them. At least he will digest them and get the nutrition he needs. So hopefully that will help.
@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 No his diet will have to change radically but have to do it in stages and do it slowly as he is used to getting his way.
@Felton10 @Kidsandliz I can understand that. Dont want to cause too much stress
WALTER UPDATE: Walter is home-2 days and over 2k later from the hospital. Still isn’t really eating (did take a few bites of his strawberries) but doesn’t seem to be hungry. Seems somewhat more active and alert but only time will tell. Has to go on some long term heart meds.
Was prescribed the same pain meds as my wife is taking for her shoulder and back.
@Felton10 hang in there @walterbird! @charliedoggo and I are sending our
@Felton10 That’s good news - that he is home, not the bills.
@Felton10
So good to see you home @Walterbird! Being in the hospital is no fun for anyone, including birds!! Now you’ve got to work on that appetite and get your strength back. Continued prayers for a speedy recovery and a healthier you!
Not necessarily blame, closer to unblame (we hope).
One of our younger cats, Star, has been acting like her ear canals were irritated, but she refused to let me look at them closely. So we took her to the vet. They took swabs from both ears; the goo looked really nasty, which I took for “not a good sign”. She didn’t have ear mites, but it looks like she had a yeast/bacterial infection going on, so the vet applied a topical antifungal/antibiotic, and we have a followup visit scheduled for two weeks hence. I think it may already be helping; it’s been a few hours, and she’s no longer trying to bury her head in between me and the armrest of the chair.
@werehatrack Is she better?
“Nobody likes a Goat!”
NOT GOOD WALTER UPDATE-Had to take him back the ER this morning-wasn’t perching or eating (except for strawberries). They suggested the gold standard for determining heart issues which was an echo cardiogram and told me he has advanced heart disease and probably doesn’t have more than a couple of months at most to live. He is spending the night at the hospital again.
@Felton10
I’m really sorry to hear that.
He’s been such a main character here in the forum!
@Felton10 This just all-around sucks.
@mossygreen Big time!!!
Oh @Felton10 I am so sorry. Hang in there @Walterbird, we all love you!
@Felton10
It’s the price we pay for living well.
At least we’ll look good at the viewing.
@Felton10 I am so sorry. That is so hard.
@mike808 Not helpful
@mike808 This species is prone to heart problems so although his diet was probably a contributing factor, the level of heart disease he has indicates he woud have gotten it sooner or later.
@mike808 regardless of what caused Walters issues, there is no need to be downright rude. Felton is dealing with a terrible sutuation and he only needs our support right now.
@tinamarie1974 Enable all you want. You do you.
I won’t apologize for acknowledging how poorly Walter’s diet has been managed so the person who did that to him doesn’t feel so bad about doing it.
I have sympathy for Walter, not for his abuser who intentionally put him in the situation he is in “sooner” rather than later.
That’s called honesty, and I won’t lie or pretend life is all rainbows and unicorns with no consequences just to appease your feelings.
@mike808 Your lack of compassion is appalling. It is incredibly stressful when you know your cherished and well loved pet is going to die, regardless of why. The grief people feel is very real and the passing of that pet will leave a hole in their life that takes most a long time to learn to live with. Knowing your pet is going to die also causes advanced grieving in people as well. Regardless of your personal opinion support and compassion is what Felton needs now.
@mike808 to be clear I never asked you to enable anyone. I just asked why you have issue being a decent human being. Compassion and enablement are two different topics.
@mike808 @tinamarie1974
@Kidsandliz As I said, my compassion and sympathy are for Walter. He’s the one suffering. Please stop denigrating me just because I don’t feel the same way you do about condoning his owner’s treatment that got Walter into the situation he’s in to begin with. If that means I don’t get invited to the wake, I can live with that.
@mike808 I dont believe I insinuated anything. I was quite clear and called a spade a spade.
@mike808 I must have hit a nerve, as you are now lashing out with anger.
/giphy tantrum
@Felton10 I’m sorry you’re going through this. Poor Walter. I think that’s the hardest thing of all - the rollercoaster. Taking in to account chances for remission with medical help, diet change, etc vs the quality of life. The worry.
I hope that Walter is around for a while longer. I hope this is just a big bump that he can overcome with your help.
(((((Felton10)))))
@Felton10 Hang in there with Walter. We lost a Blue and gold at the youngish age of twenty something about 15 years ago and still have the scars, as she died in bed with me one morning after I found her in distress on the floor that morning. Our Moluccan, now ~35, is still with us, but only as I had some oxygen available for her on the trip to the vet a couple of years ago…
Thoughts and prayers for both of you.
RIP Walter-6:00 PM October 14, 2022
@Felton10 I am so sorry to hear that. That is so incredibly sad. Was he at home or the vet? I hope you were able to be with him. I know you and your family will miss him a lot!!
@Felton10 I am very sorry. I know how much Walter meant to you. Sending lots of love during this difficult time.
/giphy sad hug
@Felton10 Tears…
@Felton10 It all happened so fast! I’m so sad and so sorry. It was a lot of fun getting to know your beautiful little friend.
@Kyeh They said that birds hide their illnesses very well and the couple of parakeets we had when they got sick they went in a couple of days.
It was a little over 7 days to acting normally to death for him.
@Felton10
Sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. Thankfully you have 25 years of good memories to fall back on…
@Felton10 @Kyeh cats hide disease and pain pretty well too. Or at least they act normal from our perspective. You took him to the vet when you detected distress. You did as much as you could. Fuck everyone else.
I feel like I fucked up with KitKat. I mean maybe I should have run him to the vet… But he was just a little bit off. Then in a week he just dropped dead.
Shit happens and no matter what an asshole on the internet says they don’t get to judge your decisions. We blame ourselves enough. Fuck them
It’s my birthday. We don’t do stuff on my birthday. It’s basically just another day and I’m okay with that. A couple of years ago, I wanted my butt length hair cut to shoulder length. And one year I got Panda Express (orange chicken and chow mein) for dinner (it had been years, due to Covid).
But all in all, just another day.
Last month Brian said we could order Black Angus (a steakhouse) to be delivered. Cool! (He is incredibly reluctant to eat at a restaurant, because Covid; he doesn’t want to take any chances because he can’t afford the downtime - I’m okay with that, I’m no social butterfly.) I usually order from the dollar menu at fast food restaurants. Because I’m cheap.
So, yesterday, I get this email from BA that for three days, if you buy a $75 gift card from them, you’ll get two $10 bonus bucks to be used at a later date. Okay. I’m in since we’ll be spending at least that much on my birthday dinner.
I ordered the food via their website to be delivered late this afternoon. I rounded up the total bill to $85 (with the tip). So, $75 for food, delivery and part of the tip using the BA card and $10 from a credit card to pay the balance. I clicked on “submit order”.
This is what happened and I’m all WHAT THE EVERYLOVING FUCK IS THIS?
Yeah, I filled out their contact form.
Blaming the @mossygreen.
I’m too (looks at calender) old for this shit.
@lisaviolet well I hope the rest of your day goes better!!!
/giphy birthday wishes
@lisaviolet have you checked the remaining balance on the gift card? If the balance is there that’s odd.
I’m sure they can fix it. But happy birthday
@lisaviolet also they can fix it another day. Maybe forget about it for the day?
@lisaviolet Happy Birthday!
@lisaviolet I bet they’ll fix it when you call. I hope you have a good day despite all that!
@lisaviolet
/giphy HAPPY BIRTHDAY
@lisaviolet
@MarkDaSpark That is so cute!
@lisaviolet so did they fix it and how was your dinner?
@tinamarie1974 I got an email from them Monday, nothing since.
Dinner was really good.
Blame. Woke up extra early for a 630 am conf call. Got up, showered, etc and made it downstairs by 6. Turned on the computer and overnight the meeting was rescheduled to 8:00pm my time FML
@tinamarie1974 How rude!
@Kyeh Yup. They ended up cancelling and rescheduling for this morning at 8am my time.
There were several indiciduals from Germany as required attendees, 8pm my time was 3am for them. As you can imagine, there were some very upset Europeans!!!
@tinamarie1974 Oh, man - they just can’t seem to get it right for everyone, can they! But yay, it sounds like they finally did.
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974
This has been a complaint with WFH that spans different time zones… Glad they got it sorted for you. I’m sure the early wake up and shower confused the crap out of Charlie!
@chienfou @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 You’d think companies would think ahead about this kind of stuff and plan accordingly. But then again Americans aren’t known for taking stuff like that into account the way Europeans are.
@chienfou @Kidsandliz @Kyeh yup it finally worked out and honestly the only consistent part of my schedule is inconsistencies. Because of what I do I can start my day at any time. Charlie is use to it, thank goodness. And KL it wasnt the Americans or the Europeans! It was the Chineese this time. Human error, they weren’t thinking.
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974
Given the fact that “Global” could include any/all of 24 time zones you can never truly plan for everyone to be happy if you are sufficiently spread out. It’s hard enough for east/west coast to jibe.
@chienfou @Kidsandliz @Kyeh Exactly. I think the best we can do is try to balance as best as possible. If the call includes North America/LATAM, EMEA and APAC the best we can do is about 6 am CST, which is early afternoon in EMEA and around 7pm in APAC (China) . I have to do this at least a few times a week. For me the frustration is getting up and then finding out the meeting was cancelled and I could have slept in lol.
I have a ground nest of yellow jackets that are beating the crap out of my poor dog. I used almost an entire can of Raid wasp and hornet spray yesterday and it just seems to have pissed them off.
Any suggestions?
@sammydog01 fire?
(don’t do it)
@sammydog01 found this on line
When treating ground nests, locate where the insects fly out and treat the nest early in the morning or after dark. You can pour insecticidal soapy solution or dust products into underground nests and cover the nest opening with a glass-pan cover to trap the yellow jackets inside the nests until they die
Good luck
@Thumperchick Thanks for the suggestion.
@tinamarie1974 I’m picking up some peppermint soap from target today. Not optimistic though.
@sammydog01 fingers crossed!!
@sammydog01 also, I use this this stuff
https://cedarcide.com
@sammydog01 I found info online for a friend about using a shop vac to suck all the wasps out of the ground, and that’s what he did!
@sammydog01 Spraying product rarely gets deep inside the ground nest.
I emptied a gallon (1/2 gallon?) of cleaning vinegar from the dollar store down the hole just before dark and ran inside. Don’t know if it killed the insects or toasted the nest, but all were gone within 2 days.
@compunaut @Kyeh @tinamarie1974
The stuff I read recommended using dust because they’ll get it on their feet and drag it into the nest. And doing it in June before the nest gets too big. And in the fall they get really aggressive because they get hungry. But my dog is particularly stupid and I didn’t really want to have toxic dust all over the place. And the shop vac thing was scary.
So I dumped a quart of diluted peppermint soap down there last night followed by a half gallon of boiling water. It all went right down even though it had been raining. Must be really deep. A few came out but not many.
So far so good, hopefully they won’t pop out angry when it warms up this afternoon. And my yard smells minty fresh.
Thanks for the advice everyone!
@compunaut @Kyeh @tinamarie1974
It warmed up and there are at least 50 angry yellow jackets hovering around the nest entrance. Maybe it’s flamethrower time, @Thumperchick.
Fine, I’ll try some Sevin dust first.
@sammydog01 yikes.
/giphy flamethrower
@compunaut @Kyeh @sammydog01 @Thumperchick might this work? It would be safe for your pups
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceous_earth
@compunaut @Kyeh @Thumperchick @tinamarie1974 That’s an option too but I can’t let her near the nest now so poison it is.
@sammydog01 I have destroyed mammoth fire ant colonies with ten gallons of soapy water; enough to utterly fill the entire cavity. For yellowjackets, it would have to be applied after dark, but it has the advantage of being minimally toxic in general and largely biodegradable. Soapy water drowns them via multiple insults to their chitin and spiracles. And because their nests can have an entrance path that meets the colony chamber below the level of its roof, it’s necessary to keep adding more liquid as the level slowly sinks.
@sammydog01 @Thumperchick The carb-cleaner-flamethrower technique is useful for removal of moderate-aggression nests out of reach under a high nonflammable overhang or ceiling, but it’s not useful against the hyperaggressive huge red wasps we have as one of the high-threat species around here. (There’s a black wasp that’s damn close to chill, and plucks bugs off of tomato plants; those get a 100% free pass from me.)
@werehatrack I’ll put that on my list if this fails. But ants tunnel and these bastards are using probably an old vole burrow- it could be extensive.
UPDATE: I waited until it was around 45 last night to dump the Sevin. I found a pile of yellow jackets slowly wandering around but not flying so that was nice. I poked around to find the hole under them but couldn’t, so I dumped a bunch of powder and mixed it in the dirt.
Then I realized the tunnel I put the soap in was a foot away. I guess they made another exit. I dumped more Sevin down that and put bricks on both holes to keep my dog out of it.
Right now it’s supposedly 39 and there’s one damn yellow jacket flying around. How can it do that? I HOPE IT DIES.
/giphy KILL THEM ALL
The main tunnel isn’t being used anymore and the little bastards are still flying around. I’ve read that Sevin can take up to a week to kill everything but I’m off to buy another pound just in case. (I dumped most of the jar down the old hole. Oh well.)
Update: Yesterday there were only two yellow jackets and today none. OK one popped up when I was hosing off the Sevin to keep it away from Princess Eat-the-spicy-flies Cora. But I squished it.
/giphy success!
Thanks @mossygreen I know you would come through for me.
@mossygreen @sammydog01 woo hoo!!!
@mossygreen @sammydog01 @tinamarie1974
Future Cheatsheet:
BLAME. The front (selfie) camera on my Samsung Galaxy S9 appears to have failed. Rats. I hardly ever use it, so there’s no telling when it quit.
@werehatrack
Hopefully before the hackers turned it on to record those nudie pics!
Semi blame only because it’s making me spend money. Also I couldn’t find an October 2022 deals from other sites thread and it’s kinda too late to start one.
Anyhoo… www.blueq.com is having their semi occasional free stuff sale. It’s always good stuff, never a regret. Minimum $15 purchase, get an extra $35.44 worth of stuff free. See, they even beat Meh at their own odd priced game there.
@ironcheftoni ok Im in, lets see what they send
@ironcheftoni Ooo, is it that time of year again already? I did it last time and got neat stuff, well worth the price!
@ironcheftoni @Kyeh What kind of stuff do they send out? I am presuming it is just unsold merchandise the already sell or is it other stuff too?
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh it’s usually a variety of their stuff. Mostly from their sale section on their site but still neat stuff. A pair of socks, some kitchen towels, toothbrush, an apron. I’ve had no regrets ordering from them. Shipping is super fast too.
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz So I posted what I got when I did this the last time:
https://meh.com/forum/topics/goat-off-my-lawn-february-2022-scapegoat-blame-thread#6209e0f0ad55f8001b0e5da5
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @Kyeh mine shipped, should arrive on Monday!!
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974
I hope you’ll show us what you got!
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @Kyeh I will!!
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 mine showed up today! The free stuff was three pairs of socks, an oven mitt, kitchen towel and a pack of gum.
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @Kyeh just got mine and it is literally EXACTLY the same. Also some employee trading cards
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974
Oh, those are both really nice collections! And good to see there’s no swear words - I don’t mind them in this forum or in casual use but I don’t want them on my clothes or housewares.
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @Kyeh well agree and I plan on using them as rob your neighbor gifts at Christmas so the lack of swear words is refreshing.
Unblame because for some reason Charlie REALLY likes wearing this headband. Was devastated when my sister took it back
Although my sister saw it as more of a blame, but it was quite funny watching her get it back from him!!!
@tinamarie1974 How funny - he hated those costumes you put him in, but he likes that??? I guess you’ll have to get him one!
@Kyeh he is so bizarre. I keep teasing my sister asking why she hasnt got one for her nephew yet!!
@tinamarie1974 You think she will??
@Kyeh lol, no.
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 For your nephew - a headband or a dog?
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh Charlie IS my sisters nephew
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 wait, why would I want a dog? I want that sweet, sweet Hocus Pocus headband for my long hair!!!
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 LOL
@CharlieDoggo @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 Because you want a sibling? Ask your mom what she can do about that (snicker).
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 un, NO. I am THE dog. If I get a sibling I would have to share toys, treats, my mom, etc. I like being the only doggo
@CharlieDoggo @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 But if you had a sibling you’d have someone to play with when mom isn’t home.
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 nah, I just sleep and when mom comes home I get ALL the belly rubs!!!
@CharlieDoggo @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 Be careful Charlie. You don’t want to become a spoiled brat. Make make sure you are nice to your mom by cleaning the floor of food she drops even if you don’t like that kind of food very well and poop in places easy for her to pick up. In fact take lessons from the cats and bury your poop.
@CharlieDoggo @Kidsandliz @Kyeh ah, Charlie is a very good boy. Spoiled he may be, but it is deserved! And he only potties in his back yard!
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 Oh no, I am a VERY good boi. Mom tells me so all the time.
I wake her up so she doesnt miss an opportunity to give me a belly rub every day! I also offer to taste every meal, just incase
Today I rested quietly on the couch while mom messed with this very loud machine ALL DAY. I didnt bug her unless I had to go potty.
I deserve ALL THE TREATS!
At one medical clinic I go to they put a skeleton behind a desk in the check in area (original hatless photo in a different thread). Clearly they are working their employees to the bone because they have a skeleton crew. Witch, of course, is about normal at this place.
Goats Unite!
@sohmageek N-a-a-a-a-h.
@sohmageek @Trinityscrew I’m liking the @Trinityscrew nomination!
You borked the meh-athon!
@OldCatLady Yeah, I didn’t want to stay up. Poor decision in retrospect.
Hi there @tinamarie1974 HI! My sleep schedule is messed up…I’ve been up all night.
I came to cancel my VMP but ended up buying an IRK.
…just when you think you are out…
@therealjrn I am sure that irked you (snicker - there really needs to be a snicker emoji)
@Kidsandliz Yes baby, you have achieved ascendancy.
You bested me on my home turf.
:respect:
@therealjrn oh that has to be frustrating, but yea on the Irk. I finally scored one during Happy Hour!
Don’t cancel, infact, you should come hang out again. Things have quieted down here as of late and your voice would be a welcome return!
@therealjrn @tinamarie1974 I second that.
Unblame Thank goodness he didn’t get sprayed, but @Charlidoggo spooked a skunk in the back yard. Man does it smell
@tinamarie1974 Close call!
@tinamarie1974 @Kyeh Nasty creatures. Skunks frequented our previous neighborhood. My stupid dog managed to get herself sprayed twice (seems like once should have been enough). I have a photo of her smeared with home-canned tomatoes (we didn’t have any juice) and looking miserable.
Our older neighbor, Doug, had a vendetta against the skunks. His horse, who had some kind of respiratory issue, had to be put down after being sprayed. One night after we had gone to bed, we were suddenly awakened by a BOOM! outside our bedroom. Soon, the unmistakable odor wafted in. I said to my wife: “I guess Doug got a skunk.”
Fortunately, I’ve never seen a skunk around our current place.
@Kyeh @macromeh @tinamarie1974
How awful, your poor animals!
You borked meh at midnight AGAIN!
@OldCatLady that sounds dirty!!
