@Starblind’s Irk’s Breakfast Quest will always stand out as a favorite. I’m really sad that we don’t get the daily videos anymore. @matthew’s brilliance was a huge part of my recommendation to others to come visit meh every day. I also miss the staff videos. It feels like you guys got too big and busy for them to have fun. As for finding my way here, I don’t remember. I think it may have been through a Slickdeals post. I truly wish I knew about the Kickstarter, I would have been here from day 0.

I used to visit Woot, but quit after it was sold. Then I read a post on Reddit that said Meh was like Woot used to be, so I checked it out and liked it enough to visit regularly.

I liked that Bandit thing that @moose did where people killed each other off while talking “western” (however, I’m still waiting for that song title bit…).

The list of WD-40 substitutes had grown quite large and he started outsourcing the research with mechanical turk. The latest updates were on https://myspace.com/lubricatingmatt but that isn’t loading for me any more so he perhaps he has moved on to the duct tape trials?

Remember that birthday week leading up to the IRK launch where the staffers were sending out fukos for almost any reason, or no reason at all? That was fun. (The fact that I got a pretty good haul with those fukos may or may not be contributing to the rosy memories)

Facebook brought me here. A coworker of mine was commenting on a post where someone shared the floating banana boat speaker. They all thought it was ridiculous. I thought it was interesting. Then I lurked for a few weeks until the food saver was for sale. Then I made an account and never left.

I honestly don’t remember how I got here from Woot.
I know I missed the Kickstarter, but I’ve been here since July 9th.
Was that opening day?
I saw a thread on deals.woot about the kickstarter and creating an account early so you could reserve your username. I chose a name and decided that another frequent mehmber’s name was too close. @Shawn was nice enough to add the code to change my username when I asked.

Tons of fun here on the forum, many have been mentioned already. Not to toot my own horn but I really loved surprising you all with the Trolboro Lollipops clock last year. That project was so long in the making, mostly due to procrastination. I couldn’t have done it nearly as well without some conspiratorial aid from Irk and @Matthew. Unfortunately I haven’t got any weird shit in an I.R.K. so nothing like that is in the works this year. Well, that, and I currently work way too much.
I came here by way of the guy who brought me on to my new job in 2014. Somehow woot came up and he said that the people that started it had started this new site, meh. So I came and here I am. I also regret not knowing about the Kickstarter.

My favorite memory is of last years birthday celebration. The games were really fun, and I won a bunch of stuff, and got to bake and eat cake and say “fuck” a lot. Mmmm, fuckin’ cake.
As for how I wound up here, I happened upon the pre-launch thingie for decorating the Meh offices, and I did the kickstarter thing. I can’t even remember what order those things happened in… me not very brain.
Oh! And the Possum Head chronicles were amazing- I totally learned how to clean and de-grease skulls from that series. Um, not human skulls. Just, you know, random dead critters. Yep.
I found out about Meh on Bradsdeals.com. I remember thinking, what is THIS site. Did some research and realized it was the old Woot folks before Woot lost its soul.
I originally joined under a different username (Spotandginger) and ended up changing it.
Favorite things: Red Rover, Unofficial box exchanges, Fuko/Fuku, interaction with the staff, birthday celebrations and all the quirky folks I have met in the forum.
Glad I stumbled on here, you guys make me smile!

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to interact and even know a little about the community here over the past 1370 days. I was quite fond of woot! when it still was woot! and kind of abandoned it when it changed (for the worse). Thankfully I wandered in here (damned if I know how or why) and now I have a new home for my smartassery.

oh… and one of my favorite mehmories was getting to hate the fucking popsockets being mentioned every other post… for a long time.

But i joined many moons ago when there was an ION drum set on sale back on Feb 4 2015. I was big into rockband at the time, and got the ION drum rocker. So I saw this and was interested. I just remembered the very first birthday. When the fuku came up there were very few sold at first. I got one and then just sat there watching for the sellout. When it didn’t I brought up my hubby’s computer, into his account and got him one. There was still no sellout. So I logged out on my computer, then logged into my son’s account and snagged one for. I know it was wrong, but who could resist?

I called my mom, a couple of friends, and even emailed an internet friend. They all got fukus.

The Quip Electric Toothbrushes of course! what a wild ride that was. I found my way here because I was a Wooter (and still am to a degree) for a very long time. And one day I did a Google search to find out what the founder of Woot was up too and I finally found Meh.
Meh is one of a kind.
After the sale of woot and all its changes, it was / is not the destination or community that it once was. The only other site that I can think of that had creativity and fun in its site was ThinkGeek, but that also appears to have died after getting folded into the antiquated GameStop site.
The deals may be a definite meh, but it’s a destination to regularly visit, maybe buy stuff, and get a laugh.
i remember the massive sleeve sale where you could get more for the middle price (7.00 i think) .
That and when people would go to the forums to talk about buying the sleeves , some would get more added to their order by staff
I stopped checking Woot! when it started taking most of the day to go through all their separate sections and realizing the deals were looking less and less like deals and more like a really crappy Amazon site. Then the guys on the Giant Bomb podcast mentioned Meh. and said it was the original Woot! guys (in fact, I think I discovered Woot! listening to the same guys years earlier) and I immediately checked it out. I am still here every day.

My favorite Mehmory would have to be the Twofer Tuesday temptress, I loved trying to be the first post of the day and shed some light on her evil, yet frugal, deeds.
I was first introduced to meh by a co-worker who brought one of those tiny cheerson drones in and flew around the cubicles. I went to look and didn’t find drones, but found bubba tumblers in a 2 for Tuesday instead. Which I ordered. But I loved the write ups and the idea of one deal every day and then I read about other members tracking how many times they clicked the meh button… I became addicted and it ruined my life.
The week of little contests, when I finally got my first and last fukos. They had some good stuff, too! But the contests were fun, and I was having a down week.

Been here since the woot days. Had my Wootoff lights and flying screaming monkey. The monkey disappeared (probably a victim of the dog or cat) and the USB Mars lights bit the dust before my last move. Have you got a USB powered Meh discoball?
