No package delivered..
4I bought one of the notification watches. Says it was delivered Saturday (yesterday) but nothing was delivered. I went to check into it and see the proof of signature and that is unavailable. I have started ordering quite often from this company the last 2 months, but I need to know what to do or if anyone else has experienced this and how they fixed it. I don’t want my money back nor do I know if that is even an option, but that was a planned gift for my kid so I am really bummed… Is there a way to track it down???

Call the shipping company and ask them about it. I’ve had a couple of times where they mark it as delivered I guess for goal purposes, but don’t really deliver until the next business day.
@Anderra
What @ELUNO said.
Is it possible that it was delivered to a neighbor? It’s not as far-fetched as it sounds sadly.
First, contact meh.com/support to let them know you have a problem with delivery. Probably not much that they can do, but it’s still good to let them know.
Next, was this delivered by USPS Smart Post? I learned something about them a few days ago. Maybe everyone else knows this, but hey, as @looseneck tells me, I live in the middle of nowhere which is lacking in updated technology.
Anyway, contact your local post office and tell them that your package says delivered, but you didn’t get it. Be real nice – they can get your regular carrier to check the GPS location of where your package was delivered. If it was somewhere else, you might be in luck. Your house? Well, you have a different problem.
I learned this when my regular carrier knocked on my door one day and said that on his day off the substitute carrier had delivered a few packages to my house (yep, I’m a shopaholic and I’m working on the first step to recovery
). I hadn’t opened any of them because I had been busy. Anyway, one of the packages was for a resident who lives a block from me. The sub carrier had just entered the GPS code and dropped everything on my porch. By backtracking the code, they were able to find the lost package at my place.
Maybe this will be of help to you.
@Barney Yes, I am only here to make fun of where Barney lives.
/giphy I heart Barney

If the package is sent thru USPS, sometimes they are erroneously scanned as delivered when they arrive st the local PO, not when they arrive at your house. This varies with each Post Office.
Use the Help link at the top to report this to Meh. Also call your Post OfficeMibday Morning BF or Toesdsy morning and ask.
It may arrive with the mail on Monday.
@f00l Sometimes? In my experience, the only times it hasn’t happened is for things I’ve not ordered. These things NEVER arrive.

@medz lol. A couple of days ago my laptop failed to load the keyboard, so I couldn’t type. This is not the first time, and this is a pretty new laptop which has been jiggy from day one. In frustration I picked it up and slammed it down on the table. That felt really good, so I closed the screen and repeated more vigorously. That felt outstanding. So much so I exerted my will and stopped before I used the damned thing to trash the room. When I opened it the keyboard was working. I put the fear of god into that thing.
@moondrake We have one of those KitKat clocks, where the tail and eyes move. Except they don’t. They’ll work, then stop.
The other day I spent maybe ten minutes trying to get it to work (in the past, I’ve spent longer, taking it apart, cleaning stuff). I got so frustrated when I hung it back on the wall and tried to get it to keep moving, that I smacked the tail really hard with my hand.
And the tail and eyes have been moving ever since.
Go figure.
@Anderra, as @f00l says, it is unwise to trust delivery stats when the USPS is involved, unless someone has paid for premium service.
Since Meh is, well, meh, they proudly use one of the services that starts your package with shipper like FedEd or UPS, who then hands the package off to USPS for the delivery to the addressee. (This is actually a good thing, as it saves all of us money.)
In my experience, ALL such packages are marked as delivered at least one business day before they arrive. Business days are M-F much of the time, M-Th in July and August, and don’t include holidays; in some cases this has meant four calendar days.
Thus, I feel you have no reason to believe that anything is wrong. In fact, if you were to call the USPS, they would tell you to wait until the package has been missing for 14 days.
in my experience, sometimes the usps marks it as delivered and its still sitting in the back of the local post office being sorted, if you dont get your package by tuesday then panic should ensue
@communist
This can be the norm, depending on the PO.
The post office is awful. I made an error on the address for a package. The failed delivery attempt was on the 9th and I am still waiting for them to return the package to the sender so it can be reissued. Their website had no info so I called and spent 57 minutes on hold. When I finally got a person she said they don’t track the movement of returns so she couldn’t tell me where it was or when it might be returned to the sender. At least 10% of my mail is misdelivered, and he never picks up outgoing mail, he just puts incoming mail on top of the outgoing mail. I usually just take my outgoing mail to the post office but I was aggravated the other day and ran the guy down on the next block. I asked him in a conversational tone “Did you know that when the flag is up on a mailbox it means there’s outgoing mail?” “Really?” Seriously, do these guys get trained at all?
The worst was a jasper cabochon I bought on Ebay. Someone dug that stone from the earth, sliced it, shaped it, drilled it, polished it, photographed it, posted it online, wrapped it in bubble wrap and shipped it from India to Texas, where my jackass mailman missed the mailbox, dropped it in the street and ran over it with his truck. What I got was a bag of ground stone with tire tracks on it.
@moondrake
for this you need a conversation with the postmaster of your PO.
F2F is best, phone will do if you don’t have time for f2f. You may have to have several of these conversations.
Your regional or county sorting PO has a Consumer Affairs office for complaints. You can call them - repeatedly, if needed - and file a complaint and demand that your local Postmaster call you back. This usually works, tho you may have to do it more than once. If they know you will keep complaining, they do better. If the local Postmaster does not respond by calling you after you’ve requested that from Consumer Affairs, you can call again and complain about not getting a return call. (They take those complaints seriously.)
(Caveat regarding the local Consumer Affais office - if all the lines all full, you often get xferred automatically to the national 800 #, which is staffed and run outsourced by minimum wage people. It can be near useless for delivery complaints, tho it sometimes does good (tho not for local delivery probs normally); and it has one known valid “complaint” use. More on that later. The main thing is, if you call the local Consumer Affairs #, and get xferred to the national CS line, hang up, wait a few hours, and try again. Don’t stop trying to talk to someone in your county or area. Keep trying until you get a line to a local person who is a postal employee.)
Esp rural people with old style flag boxes and people in newer developments whose mail is delivered “drive-up” often get far worse service than people on traditional walking routes. The only thing to combat this is, complain, complain, complain. Best a pest and don’t stop. It will improve if you do this.
If you call a complaint in to your local zip PO, or your delivery PO (not necessarily the same, you need to find out which PO is dispatching the vehicles), I don’t know whether those complaints are logged.
If you’re call us a complaint to your regional or county Consumer Affairs office, those complaints are logged. That counts over time.
If you call the national 800 # to complain about your local PO or your local delivery, those complaints are also logged. Too many black marks can cause serious career probs for the managers, so over time that counts - although this depends somewhat on the politics of the PO in that county.
[[I have heard that some people also get their local postal service to improve by complaining to the state and federal representatives. Some representatives ignore this issue - but if the rep doesn’t doesn’t ignore it - well, the PO hates that. Even if the rep ignores it, sometimes you can use that in conversation with your local postmaster (“your service is so bad that I called Senator Corrupt Idiot’s office to complain”.)]]
I am not one who wants to defund the PO, tear it down,and destroy it. But mail is a necessity, and it’s got to work for us, so I and my friends and the businesses I deal with are willing to start local and be nice, and then escalate if needed to get it working.
I use a mailbox, in part, to deal with this. Nothing ever gets lost, comes in late due to local carelessness, or gets damaged locally. But I don’t mind picking up my mail 2x or 3x a week.
There was a good thread on this a while back. If I can find the thread, I’ll post a link to it.

@f00l wow, thanks for the comprehensive response!
@moondrake So sorry about your rock. Do you collect them?
@sammydog01 I make jewelry. Part of it is sculptural cast bronze and silver. But for more affordably priced items that sell briskly and pay for art fair costs, I buy drilled cabs from India and China and string them with contrasting and complimentary beads. But each cab is unique and special, I spend a lot of time shopping for exactly what I want to work with. It was, in fact, the singular beauty of a tiger iron cab that got me started making jewelry. It’s disappointing to lose one right at my doorstep, and such a wasteful end to that lovely bit of rock’s long and otherwise carefully handled journey. Thanks for your sympathy.
@moondrake Ghost eye jasper. Even cut from the same stone, every piece is unique.

@moondrake That is beautiful! Now I remember- you posted a photo of a ring you made, right?
@sammydog01 Yes, a big bronze dragon. I’m a sculptor at heart but that’s a very hard kind of art to sell, especially with 3D printers becoming commonplace. Hand sculpture takes dozens of hours of work and is expensive to cast and consequently has a high ticket price. The jewelry lets me sculpt in a sellable format.
@moondrake
Those stones are incredible. Thx for the pix.
i had a package from newegg ‘delivered’ saturday, that also was a no show. hmm, i wonder if this could be related?
but yea, contact the USPS and if you know your carrier talk to him/her.
the last missing package ordeal i had ended a few days later with the package being in the spouses car.

Proof of signature? Is that even available on smartpost?
