Calphalon Performance French Door Air Fryer and Toaster Oven

  • French doors look cool and take up less space when they open (or, well, you know what we mean)
  • Pretty big, but not as big as having a bunch of separate appliances
  • 11 settings including toast, air fry, roast, broil, dehydrate, and more
  • Looking for a wine to pair with what you cook? Casemates is selling the Dragon Ridge Wines that we sold previously on Meh right now!
  • Can it make a margarita: Unfortunately, that isn’t one of the settings

Fry Hard

What can your current toaster oven do? Toast stuff? Really? That’s it? It can’t dehydrate some apple chips?

And what about your dehydrator? Can you load a chicken into that thing and roast it for dinner? Seriously? You can’t? You’ll have to use your oven for that?

Speaking of that oven, can it toast a bagel, or crisp up some wings, or air fry Brussels sprouts? Actually, yes. But not super easily or conveniently, right?

This thing? It can do all that stuff, no problem. It’s got 11 settings: Toast, Air Fry, Bagel, Bake, Roast, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, Keep Warm, Wings, or Dehydrate.

What’s the difference between, say, “Toast” and “Bagel”? Honestly, we don’t know. The engineers at Calphalon could probably give some explanation about the one setting being designed to work with a thicker bread in order to crisp/brown the outside of the bagel while keeping the inside of the fluffy and nice. But, honestly, it’s probably pretty much the same thing.

BTW, one setting you won’t see in that list is ‘Make Wine.’ Too bad, huh? But luckily Casemates has you covered. Today, they’re running the Dragon Ridge Wines that we sold previously on Meh. Check it out!

Anyway, where were we? Oh, right! The functionality! There’s a lot of it! And in a nice, compact package to boot!

Or, well, actually, this thing is fairly large at 14”D x 19”W x 12”H. But that’s pretty efficient for something that can, again, roast a whole chicken. Also, it probably takes up less space than a separate toaster oven, dehydrator, and air fryer.

Plus it’s got a French door design, which looks really cool (and also adds to the spacial efficiency).

As we’ve outlined many times before, sometimes you need to make two different things that require two different cook temperatures/techniques–a slow and low roast with a side of crispy smashed potatoes, for example–and you don’t want to finish one, reheat the oven, and start the other. You’d be eating a lukewarm entree with a hot side (or vice versa). This changes that equation, while also doing everyday stuff like toasting bread and warming up leftover pizza.

Not to mention, it would be a great investment if your resolution for 2025 will be to cook more.
