Look, we wouldn’t run a daily deal site if we didn’t believe in the project. There’s a simple joy in logging in, seeing something for sale, and having just one decision to make: do you want the thing or not?

The stupidly low prices don’t hurt either.

But there are times when it backfires. We sell, say, a set of bakeware at a wildly low price, thus spontaneously prompting you to make grand plans for a winter of quick breads and cookies. Only, you don’t have a stand mixer. So now your super cheap impulse buy has resulted in a second purchase that is much more expensive.

To a lesser extent, you might be experiencing the same thing with yesterday’s pillow sale.

You buy a brand new set, and at first you feel excited about the comfort and support that awaits. But then, you go into your room, and you see the ratty old sheets and the sweat-stained pillow cases on your bed, and you think… really? You’re going to introduce a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed set of pillows into a toxic environment like that?!

No thanks!

But luckily we, for once, decided to make this easy by offering two products in a thoughtful sequence: yesterday, new pillows; today, new sheets.

Then, come back to your computer/phone/tablet/whatever and buy this one for if/when you eventually have to host a friend or family member visit this holiday season. After all, people who stay in your house for free during the busiest travel time of the year won’t complain!
