Summer Oven

We know, we know, we know. We sell a lot of cookware on this site. But friends, this ain’t cookware. It’s bakeware. As in: a bunch of things designed to go in the oven for… you know… baking stuff. More specifically: you get a baking sheet, a 13" by 9" pan, a loaf pan, a muffin pan, and two cake pans (one round, one square), all with silicon grips.

And boy, we couldn’t have sold it at a better time, right? When we think of the summer months, we think about cranking up the oven for a few hours and spending time inside!

But seriously, soon it’ll be fall, aka Bake-Off season, and you’ll love filling your house with warm, delicious smells.

Now, if you’re new to baking, don’t be intimidated. Sure, it’s not as improvisational as cooking on the stovetop, and a lot less forgiving to boot. But as long as you follow a recipe, you should be fine. As for where to find said recipe, there are baking blogs and also good old-fashioned cookbooks. If you opt for the latter, just make sure it’s a baking cookbook–like, a collection of recipes–and not a piece of baking literature, like:
