Move A Little Air

These small fans would be perfect for…

THE OFFICE

Sure, your workplace might be air-conditioned, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be comfortable. There are too many people just sitting around pumping out body heat. There are airflow issues. There’s whether or not your desk is near the vent. And then there’s the person who dramatically puts on a chunky sweater when anyone adjusts the thermostat south of 76 degrees as if they’re being forced to work in the Arctic. Our point is, having a nice little fan on your desk for those days when you need a refreshing breeze isn’t a bad idea.

THE HOME OFFICE

Yes, when you work from home, you’re in charge of the thermostat. But also, it’s likely your house doesn’t have the same cooling system as a corporate headquarters. Plus, there’s a chance that your home office is in some weird corner of your house that receives excessive sun and no cross-draft. Moreover, there are those mild-ish days, the ones where the temperature hovers just above comfortable but also just below uncomfortable enough to run the AC. In other words, even with no coworkers, there’s still plenty to contend with, and it would be good to have an option between “crank the air” and “grin and bear it.”

HOTEL STAYS

Some of you need white noise to sleep. At home, you likely have a set-up that is more or less perfect. But when you stay in a hotel, all that goes out the window. You could pack a portable white noise machine, but sometimes you just need a real-deal fan. Which means, your best bet is to use the in-room AC in fan mode, but that’s always way more complicated to figure out than it has any right to be. Like, sometimes you can get it to run, but then it won’t do AC. And sometimes you can’t get it to do anything. And sometimes you can’t even hear it if you do get it. What we’re saying is: maybe you should keep a small fan in your trunk in case you need it.

Of course, these are just a few of the ways these fans can be useful. So, get a couple. You’ll use them. We promise.
