Both answers were geometry for me. First half of the year? Killed it. Second half of the year? Barely passed.
Turns out I understand pictures of triangles and circles way better than I understand whatever trigonometry is supposed to be. Go SOHCAHTOA yourself, Mr. Rule.
So many years ago. But you specified K through 12 so best subjects were always science. And math. I was the only girl in my 12th grade math class and one of two I think in my 12th grade physics class. I always loved everything about science physical biological the whole thing and math was always easy. We’re subjects probably dependent on the year and we’re going to leave PE out of this because I wasn’t allowed to take it because of medical reasons. So probably my worst subject was English mostly because I found it kind of dumb but I know it’s the lowest grade I got in high school.
English was my “snooze to 4.0” subject all the time. Some parts of math were easy, others not so much. There were classes I would have liked to take, and never did. “Oh, you don’t want to take that.”
Science and math. And coming in a close second - art, music and English. I totally hated home economics. I would have rather taken shop but that wasn’t allowed back then.
@Kidsandliz I did too. hate Home Ec. I never was good at sewing, and my other couldn’t sew a stictch by machine. Now I can do (well could) do super good fine hand work, but that was years and years ago.
And the garbage you cooked, well, LOL
It still wasn’t a bad thing
I think that keyboarding/typing, basic home management, money management, and safe tool use should be a requirement.
@Cerridwyn mom forced us to take typing. Requirement was 32 words a min and then we could drop. So I did. Got that rate about 1/2 way though. I was still given a B even though I dropped. Of course now it is useful but back then I hated that they assumed we were on the secretary track.
It was the only elective I forced my daughter to take. She grumbled and growled through the whole thing and they used some really weird software think mid-90s. And hated me for it for several years until she got into grad school and then she thanked me for it
@Cerridwyn@Kidsandliz flashback to me thinking a wrist injury was going to get me out of typing class for a day, and then being forced to use the “injured typists type book” instead, where all of the sentences could be made with your good hand. Still remember that lounging lion story.

@Kidsandliz ^ actually crazy in retrospect

@Kidsandliz agreed…
