@Cerridwyn @kittykat9180 @mycya4me The fact that the thread was buried for most of the month made it one of the shorter ones in any event. It also looked like there was a concerted (and worthy) effort to increase forum engagement overall, with at least one additional new topic each day. The goat thread scrolled down out of sight and out of mind most of the time. It was what it was.

@Cerridwyn @kittykat9180 @mycya4me @narfcake I enjoyed my goat-ness a few months ago; thanks (wait was it even a good thing?) to those that forced me into that status. It was one of the weirdest non-honors of my life.
Problem is it seems everyone I would nominate is already Goat Emeritus so we need to get some newbies!

Oh yeah there was the issue of the thread being buried. Something about company policy or well that’s the way the algorithm works, shut up and deal with it! To which I say Meh!

I nominated him last time because he participates in the forums regularly, but lost out to the sympathy vote for someone who had little time to serve.
We really need to start the new year with a goat that actively participates in the forums

@lonocat What’s even more common - they just go on without acknowledging their goathood in any way. Posting as usual but not in the blame thread, not replying to anyone.
@Kyeh @lonocat For all that I’ve annoyed people here, at least I made the attempt to do the goat thing properly when I got elected back in 2021. Reviews were predictably nonexistent.

I agree with Kyeh. Aside from commenting on the daily poll, I only see things that I am tagged in because I get the email about it.
@kittykat9180 @macromeh @tinamarie1974 I guess we need to add that to our blames - just @ the current goat each time. And some of them will still ignore it all.
@kittykat9180 @Kyeh @macromeh I should have plenty of aches to blame on the new goat next week, and loads of time to gripe about it. At least, I’m supposed to. (And if I don’t, there’s going to be even more blame. Let’s all hope I don’t have to go there.) (Not that I think there’s half of a chance in hell that the whole thing is really going to go off exactly as planned this time.)
