A Meh-rathon Murder Mystery!

Eccentric billionaire steam mop mogul Dallas McAllen has been murdered! And in his own home, no less, while a great party raged on. With 30 suspects and clues galore (some helpful, others less so) only Sadie Dufresne–an Inspector of the Royal Knights order (shorthand: IRK), one of the highest ranking detectives in all the land–can be trusted to solve the mystery. Using techniques she learned at the Royal Knights Training Academy, it takes Sadie Dufresne mere minutes to break down Claude Money and get him to admit he’d attempted to steal the painting in Dallas McAllen’s study.

“And when he came in and found you,” she says, “you killed him.”

“No,” says Claude, in tears. “He didn’t even know I was there. I hid under his desk. He hummed a song to himself and seemed to be looking for something when someone else came in after him. I heard him say, ‘What are you doing up here?’ And then… well, there are some noises you hear and you know right then and there that you’ll never be able to forget them, that they’ll be sounding in your ears every night as you try to fall asleep for the rest of your life.”

“What happened after that?” Sadie asks.

“When it was all done,” Claude says, “the killer started to scribble something on a notepad, but I shifted under the desk, and they ran off.”
