Well, since my friend next door mentioned making her delicious southwestern-style bean & veggie soup for us soon, i guess it’s a YES! Not to mention, the last couple of nights have been in the 40s , so that’s an unfortunate clue, although i don’t need cooler weather for it to be a ramen day, so there’s that. Hmm, speaking of ramen…
Yes, cool weather, first rain coming in tonight, big ol’ pot of chicken bone broth going on the stove first thing tomorrow morning, many soups will come from that!
I make my sour cabbage soup with rich homemade beef broth in the searing June heat.
I celebrate American independence with a giant pot of roast chicken stew with drop dumplings.
I impress guests with a nice small tidy bowl of Thai tom yum and vegetable spring rolls.
All who seek to restrict when I can and cannot soup, will be crushed. And I will have the strength of a hearty, nourishing, frugal and easy meal to fuel my violence.

Crock Pots full of never ending soups but various versions chicken soup tends to be the most satisfying.
It’s always soup season-if someone else makes it (or I only have to warm up packaged, quality, soup. And then there is hot and sour soup!
