@oppodude An even 52 would be nice. @Dickbutt OBVIOUSLY, y'all keep buying them. @Mofongo Probably true. Also I've never tried mofongo but I've heard it's delicious and it looks awesome.
@JonT Guess it doesn't matter, between Dyson which has the BEST CS I've ever seen( My DC 44 stopped working last week, they sent new battery, charger and all kinds of other things no questions asked 2 day shipping. I hadn't even registered the product but I told them I bought on Aug 10th and in came the parts which fixed it) and Meh's support which for me has been awesome as well, I know I will have a year + of use without worry.
Amazon prices are so high because this is a discontinued model I believe. Brand new for $299 some places, $350 new shipped ebay and others. That said, this is still a good price and with a additional 6 month warranty makes it a fair deal, just not as great as Meh is suggesting.
Got an Animal last time around. Works great! Filters are washable & reusable (that was surprising). The arrow painted on the red part is coming off though.
Ahh, takes me back to 2007 and the original daily deal site . . . refurb vacuums. Just need some bluetooth headsets and it'll be like pre-bust America.
@Kyser_Soze Unless they have thousands it will sellout. This is a good price even refurb and the 6 months additional warranty is a good bonus. most people were selling this for 199 prior to xmas but it is sold out everywhere and now discontinued. For the price it is a excellent vacuum.
I need another floor since we already have one Dyson for downstairs and one for upstairs. Wonder how long it would take me to vacuum up all the insulation in the attic...
@ruthie I assume you mean the pull around type. Dysons overall are awesome but canister dysons have had many issues. Their upright line, dc44 mark2( fixes battery issue ) and onward though are awesome. Have not tried the newest canister model.
@ruthie I have the "city" cannister model (can't remember the model number and too lazy to go look) and it works great. My only issue is getting stuck around corners and the random tip-over. I bought the refurb Frankenstein from here last time around and it's fantastic! I'm waiting for a cordless model to pop up next.
@brendles I bought the cordless one for SO birthday. I felt guilty as giving a woman a vacuum for Bday or Xmas is pretty much a sign you will never see her naked again, but it has helped her so much due to it's lightweight, ease of use and tremendous power that I swear she makes love to it while I am gone. When it died last week she literally almost cried. Thankfully Dyson sent stuff to fix it and 2 days later she was back to using "Max Dyson" as she calls it. She used it weeks calling it that before I explained the Max is a button you push to double power. Can't go wrong with the cordless for everyday jobs.
Snagged the Frankenstein the last time this was offered, for my daughter. She has two dogs and they shed a lot. No problems now, the damn thing works so well both of her dogs are naked. Daughter says she had to buy jackets for the pups to keep them warm but she is grateful that the shedding problem is over. Thanks a million Meh, you guys are wonderful!
I bought a refurb'd dyson off overstock 7-8 years ago, still going strong, I'll try getting this one and giving the old one to my sister. I got the Frankenfurter model, Lord help me I love vaccum toys.
Good God...after reading the positive comments I'm beginning to understand why the other site has become a dyson storefront: you folks really, really like spending time sucking! Such a utilitarian device that does what it's supposed to and Dyson now markets some models as "digital"? The fuck I say, this is meh to me. Give me plain Jane Hoover action or give me meh! Oh, and Happy New Year.
Have a Dyson Animal already, but love it. Otherwise I'd be in for sure. What's up with the last picture w/ Doctor Evil? Lots of boxes behind him. Could that be telling of something on the horizon?
@RedOak our ancient DC-07 won't die, even with plastic bits breaking off here & there. If someone could prove it doesn't suck compared to these later new-fangled models, we might bite.
Consumer reports didn't rate this unit particularly highly. Their ratings say it did very well on bare floor and with picking up pet hair, but underperformed removing sand and talc from carpet.
Their summary said that it underperformed it's price. However, they tested it at $340-500, so $180-260 is a bit different.
At about 12:45 last night, Eastern, I made my most dollarfesty meh purchase ever.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but meh is undercutting that other site here by a few bucks, right? It's been a while since the site that shall go unnamed had a DC41 Animal, and when they did, it sure as sunrise wasn't $220.
Anybody have any direct experience with both the DC41 and the DC33?
I already have a DC33 All Floors, but that is going to my parents, I think since their Bissell's filter clogs instantly, and they never bother to clear it, half because it shouldn't need to be cleaned so often, and half because... well... nevermind. Anyway, the DC33 is a maintenance-free sucking beast compared to the Bissell, so it's a step in the right direction for them.
I am just hoping that this DC41 isn't lacking in suction, compared to the DC33. I mean... I hope I didn't just take a step back in suckage.
@Crixus I have a DC33 I think. That's the one with the big fat head and no ball, right? Yeah, I'm considering getting this one, because that huge vaccum head drives me nuts. It doesn't fit under anything. And it IS a monstrosity to turn and move around, like any normal vacuum I guess, except with a larger head. It sucks okay, probably not as good as I would think it should considering Dyson's reputation. I got it refurbed, and a hose underneath needed to be glued on to keep it attached. I can tell you the hose it comes with sucks like a mother, though..
Tried to pull the trigger but the card on file expires today, and it's already tomorrow in Samoa or something. Figured it was a sign. Cheer up, sucker!
@nadroj Yes, you've definitely figured it out. It was a sign. 1) You need to update your payment info. 2) Yeah, this isn't the suction you were looking for. Nicely done on your part. And don't let anyone--ahem, @lisaviolet--try to convince you otherwise.
@bsteiner36 how long does Meh usually take to ship an item? I've been anxiously looking for the tracking number email, but nothing yet. patience is a virtue i guess, but the wait sucks.
@jimjoebob You will not get a tracking number email. You need to go to meh.com/orders to see your tracking number. It will appear at the bottom of your order when it has shipped.
@bsteiner36@jimjoebob Just checked in on this for y'all. They were sold on 12/31 and are shipping from somewhere else which was closed on 1/1 and 1/2, they should ship out today as this is the first day they'll be able to ship anything since we sold these.
@JonT Thank you for checking into this. I see that the pre-authorization charge (meh.com charge) is no longer on my credit card. It was pending the other day and now its gone. I will check my order tomorrow and see if it shipped.
@bsteiner36 Odd mine already went through to the bank. Still sitting label since Friday though. I wish they would say if it is Meh or 3rd party purchase though. My experience with 3rd party shipping has not been good and they don't really know the quality of the product being shipped.
@Outofmymind Yeah my pre-authorization is gone and they never took my money. I assume they will take the money out when it ships. Still waiting for it to ship. My house is filling up with dirt while i wait for the Vacuum.
@bsteiner36 Ya my woman is driving me crazy too over it. She was like a week and it's not even shipped yet, this is just like the pillows. Turns out it is 3rd party, just like the pillows.
@Outofmymind I have vowed not to use my old vacuum since this purchase. I am starting to rethink my statement. Might have to break down and use the old one while the 3rd party figures out how to ship stuff.
As soon as we ordered the Dyson our current vacuum has started making some seriously worrying noises... It sensed what had happened... The sooner these ship the better.
It's only been 3 business days since this went up for sale. Shipping around these parts is slow, as clearly stated in the FAQ. (New Year's Eve was when this went up for sale, New Year's Day is a holiday, weekends aren't business days.)
In other words - Cheer up suckers! You'll get your stuff... eventually.
@Thumperchick@JonT The issue goes beyond that. Shipping is not really all that "slow" at Meh when they control the product. It has been 8 days since this product was offered and 5 days since it sent a tracking label and it still has not been picked up by Fed Ex. The second part of this is key since FedEx moves products pretty much regardless of holidays and weekends. A normal Meh purchase from time of purchase to arrival for me is 6-10 days. However when they ship 3rd party it has been 14-21 days typically in the past. This is a issue as they don't always inform of 3rd party shipping. Now I like Meh obviously as I purchase from them and participate in the community, however given past issues on 3rd party sales, I strongly feel they should inform us of such when we purchase. Edit- Added JonT just so he could see my feedback. Seems adding this into a item description would solve many issues people have over shipping.
@Outofmymind It is absolutely true that when meh sells a product with 3rd party distribution that delays and communication issues abound. I agree that they should note "3rd party shipping" on the sales stats. I personally will never read it, because I don't mind the delays; but it's still useful information to have and can help other people, who need more time sensitive shipping. However; this particular product was sold on the eve of a holiday, and some of the delay is due to that. There is a balance here, and while I see your point, I think they're still within reasonable, if this ships in the next day or two.
@Outofmymind I'll post below in response, but I think it's worth clarifying one point. FedEx only moves Express packages during the holidays and weekends. Ground and SmartPost do not operate that way.
Just wanted to give you guys an update on this shipment. The Dyson vacuums were being shipped from another warehouse. Unlike our warehouse, most warehouses aren't open during holiday weeks. They were closed 12/31 - 1/4, so they couldn't start shipping these until 1/5.
All of the vacuums shipped 1/5 and 1/6, which (for them) is 2 business days after the sale. Some of you may have tracking that shows "Label Created." That's pretty normal, and here's why: all shipping labels show "label created" until they have two things - a scan from a FedEx hub and an upload from the shipper. Since some of these were shipped last night, you may have a label that was created after they uploaded their shipments to FedEx or they may not have been scanned by the FedEx hub yet.
The accessories for these vacuums come in a separate box, which will be shipped separately from us. The vacuums are shipping FedEx Ground and the accessories are shipping SmartPost. You should have both within the next 5-10 days.
If you have any questions, just tag me and I'll see what I can do to help out!
@hart This was some cutting boards back in November. Anytime I've had FedEx here on a weekend it had activity. 11/23/2014 - Sunday 11:13 pm Departed FedEx location FEDEX SMARTPOST SOUTHAVEN, MS 4:45 pm Arrived at FedEx location FEDEX SMARTPOST SOUTHAVEN, MS 11/22/2014 - Saturday 6:44 am Departed FedEx location FEDEX SMARTPOST DALLAS, TX 12:39 am Arrived at FedEx location FEDEX SMARTPOST DALLAS, TX Edit- Opps should have been for the reply above this post.
@Outofmymind No worries! So, I guess I should explain further. SmartPost can move on the weekend, but it doesn't always. It depends on what hub it's at and when. Normally, if a package doesn't arrive to a SmartPost hub before the weekend, it won't move. But, there are outliers.
@hart And here I thought maybe Fed Ex just likes me;/ Anyways... I know most of your in house warehouse items you do put a ETA shipping on, but when it is a 3rd party warehouse/other shipper is it possible to add additional shipping time may occur with this item?
@hart Wierd, just caught the part about Fed Ex ground. My tracking number still shows a smartpost+usps delivery. I wonder if I got a bad tracking ID or label Friday somehow
@hart I received my vacuum via FedEx today. (For reference, I'm in New Jersey.) Question: You said that the accessories are shipping separately. Does that apply to the Frankenstein model only, or does it apply to both the Frankenstein and the Animal?
@hart I'm asking because the specs (above) state that the animal would be shipped with the tangle free turbine tool,, but mine came packaged (in the box w/ vacuum) with the mini turbine tool. (If you search on Amazon for "Dyson Mini Turbine Tool", you'll see what I got. I was expecting the "Dyson Tangle-Free Turbine", which is a totally different item... but if you're saying I'm going to get another box at some point... (PS - Sorry if this item is a pain in the neck for you guys. I hope it doesn't dissuade you from selling Dysons in the future. You're doing a good job!)
@hart Awesome. You are a scholar and a gentleman / gentlewoman, and I wish you a long life, much success, better pizza than that which is offered in Texas, and good health despite the pizza. Thank you very much. You win today. Period. Game over. Tell your boss I suggested that you be given a $10,000 bonus and the day off. Seriously. Thank you.
@paulbeard I'll look into this for you tomorrow. It's pretty normal for tracking to take 24 hours to update, but others have made similar reports. You may be seeing the wrong tracking number or a tracking number for your kit instead of your vacuum.
@hart In my case I didn't have a kit, I think we are seeing a phatom tracking number since it shows smartpost+usps created Friday. From your earlier comment it should be on way ( and hopefully and probably is ) but the tracking info is messed up. Also explains why I was upset for 7 days now with no update after label, if it turns out to be a error.
what @Outofmymind said. I had no kit, just the base model.
Looking forward to either a lovely post-holiday gift on my doorstep tomorrow or news of the whereabouts of same…the shipment process will be the only sucky part, I expect.
There is definitely a problem here. No change in Shipping status - label only. Today is Thursday, Jan 8. - no response to my direct inquiry either. Just a true update would suffice.
@jon1good1 My tracking number says my package has been in Nashville for two days and hasn't moved. It says its set to be delivered today. Wonder if Fedex is having issues with tracking.
@dplottner The best I could tell I have no shipments coming and still have a invalid tracking number on my order. @hart was supposed to look into it yesterday but I guess I was forgotten;/
Or maybe I do have it coming. Who knows I have 7 packages inbound only one weighs enough to be it( other than the false one label created ). That one is supposed to be here today so hopefully it is it. That or the containers of litter I ordered is arriving. NM- I think it is it since it had Meh on order entry. My god Fed EX is more complicated than UPS ( but has more options )
@dplottner Ya I have so many packages always coming I am shocked I never did Fed Ex before. I've had one with UPS awhile now, as most of my inbound/outbound are UPS. They have about 20 options you can check on each package but the column is small so you have to sort over and over to get all the details. UPS just sends me a email it's coming, it's here and who from.
Wondering if @hart has any news? I can't get FedEx to cough up how to search for my errant package by delivery address (it's that sort of day, apparently). I have an account but I can't find how to use the address: their Insight service isn't working so that's probably what I need.
@paulbeard It is actually the delivery manager. Ya Fed Ex has way to many options to navigate. You can tell it was built by a engineer instead of a person( get it! ) You have to add your address to your account, even though it was in the profile/login stuff, then after that it will appear on main page under My Shipments. Mine did come today, no thanks to random strange tracking label listed in my account. I'm pretty sure it is Obama's fault somehow.
@Outofmymind Well, it did arrive as scheduled and as promised, it really sucks. In the best possible way. Well, maybe not the best but good enough for floors. The place now looks like an adult may have lived here at one titme.
@Outofmymind Well, it did arrive as scheduled and as promised, it really sucks. In the best possible way. Well, maybe not the best but good enough for floors. The place now looks like an adult may have lived here at one titme.
@paulbeard - I suspect @joelmw has not donated his goat responsibilities to Obama. You can't just go blaming random people here willy-nilly. This is meh!
Every last order I've placed with Meh so far has had messed up shipping info, but everything I've ordered from Meh has also arrived... eventually. (except those damn damn fluffy pillows!)
Yet again, the tracking number on my order was incorrect, and yet again a "mystery shipment" heading my way from Mediocre Corp. eventually popped up in my FedEx account. Woohoo.
Tracking info said it was scheduled to be delivered today, but has apparently been held up in Champaign. So maybe tomorrow!
@emseearr My only fear was how people say it wouldn't stand up, mine stands just fine, easy to switch from stand to suck mode and return. I haven't had a chance to terrify my cats with it yet, but maybe tomorrow. Mine did appear used previously. It was clean and the motor head appeared new but the canister was semi cloudy.
@Outofmymind Mine arrived this afternoon, quite unexpectedly. Tracking updated to say it was coming Monday. It was nice surprise, but I was in the middle of frying up some eggs, and they overcooked while I was answering the door. You win some, you lose some. The vaccum itself looks pretty spiffy. Some assembly required, of course.
@Ignorant no, of course not. But if there were any available at the end of the day. They might reappear later on. Much like those fucking JBL speaker docks!
@jsh139 It does suck. As someone who has only owned a Kirby( I think it was made in the 60s but possibly 70s ) , a Rainbow for 20 years and a DC 44 Dyson cordless I had worried about the Dyson literally sucking up the carpet, pad and subfloor based on some peoples reviews. Turns out it just vacuums really well.
Got mine today. The linkage piece that connects the handle to the tube on the back was completely shattered. Very disappointed that this took so long to get here only to be broken. Who should I contact Meh or Dyson first? @JonT
@studerc To be honest Dyson imo. The reason I say this is I had my DC 44 stop working in december. Called Dyson and within 2 days had new parts show up to fix it. I hadn't even registered it after owning it 4 months ( which they did over the phone ). 10 minute call , you will have it registered and parts will be on their way to you. Dyson is by far best/fastest response CS I've had. Edit- Also if you call now they are still open. First 6 months is Dyson warranty anyways, following 6 months are meh's.
@Outofmymind I had a feeling it would be Dyson and then Meh, put its good to check in. Glad I got to wait two weeks for a broken vacuum. It's the best feeling. Like a bath of NY built neoprene cases..ahhhhhh.
@studerc The good news is Dyson will fix you up quickly. A plus is the guy I spoke to clearly was american and I actually didn't have to ask him to repeat himself 10 times to just find out he said hello. Been years since I had that.
@Outofmymind Thank you for all the hard work over there, I finally got my vacuum. It looked mostly new except for some obvious scuffs on the floor piece and on the wheels. but the canister was perfectly clean, that was a nice bonus. Thanks for the help with everybody noteting that only onetracking number was given out and if you registered with FedEx and looked at your address, you got all the tracking numbers. That was very helpful. Time to go scare the cats
@jimjoebob No problem, I am sure Meh hates me when I am persistent with issues and obviously some members hate I do it in forums instead of email ( fuck you! ) but I do try to pass on those answers and solutions to people in need when I can.
Ugh.. ordered the animal package and got the base package instead, but the box is indeed labeled animal. I have the regular non-hair-detangling vacuum brush sucker instead of the cool one I paid 40$ more for ): Very MehD!!!! @jont
Got my first part of the animal today. Put it together and it works great. Got a clear bin and it looks brand new - only scratches were on the outside of the scrubber head. Just waiting for the smart post accessories.
I got my Animal frankenstein today. I put it together and tried it out. It works great and doesn't seem re-furbished at all. Despite a warning from Dyson, the bin was clear. The red hose solid attachment part is the only thing that looks 'pre-owned' with some scuffs on it. Everything else looks new. All the attachments are new. I got two tangle-free tools which are $70 a piece on the dyson website. Great deal if I do say so myself. I was just waiting to get rid of my old Bissell Rewind. It smells like the cat took a fresh dump in the canister for the first five minutes it runs... every time it runs. I've cleaned it out many times to no avail. I feel sorry for the poor schlepper who is bound to claim it from the curb tomorrow.
Mine showed up DOA, but the friendly Dyson Service Center folks fixed me up. They were not impressed with the shoddy refurb though, what's up with that?
@Wende We're pretty backed up as far as customer support requests go, but @phatmass is correct - you'll need to contact Dyson as the warranty is through them. We've heard from many people that Dyson has been great with taking care of these issues.

Now let's settle down here..
This deal sucks...tehehe.
Seriously though, I've been waiting for this!
Really struggling to determine what model to get, am i really gonna need all those attachments?
In for the Frankenstein, couldnt resist the attachments.
Fitting..silver-peculiar-highball.
For that alone Meh should send me another, FO FREE!
@studerc I had an older Dyson that was sacrificed in my divorce, but she forgot to take the turbine thing, so I just got the base model :)
@studerc I love purple.
I wish this came a few days earlier, I just bought a new vacuum..
@rmf83 good chance you can return it, even if used. many stores offer no questions asked returns for 7-14 days.
Great, just great.
Woohoo! Been waiting for these to come back. In for a base model!
Dr. Mehvil. Mediocre Year to everyone!
Wish the ast months meh faces(clickable) would come back!
If only I needed this, but I already have a DC41 Animal. It really, really sucks ;)
Meh. Bring on the new year! This deal sucks!
Every time someone says this deal sucks, we mark the calendar for another week of speaker docks.
Edit: Up to 4 already, starting the new year off right!
@JonT so I am to assume that y'all are hoping for at least 45 of these, eh?
@JonT Jokes on you, we LOVE speaker docks!
@JonT Yes but I'm sure there's so many planned that adding to them is largely insignificant.
@JonT Is it a factory refurbished or 3rd party refurbished?
@JonT Aww, fudge!
@oppodude An even 52 would be nice.
@Dickbutt OBVIOUSLY, y'all keep buying them.
@Mofongo Probably true. Also I've never tried mofongo but I've heard it's delicious and it looks awesome.
@JonT Whole WEEKS of speaker docks? Yippee!
@Outofmymind I'll have to check on that for you, @Moose should know.
@Barney
Who is this and what happened to "i love purple" barney??
@JonT this deal sucks docks! ;)
@Barney Well that's a new one! Happy Purple Year to You!
@jwertz5 I love purple.
Love purple, @Cinoclav!
@Barney
thank you
@JonT some speaker docks with bluetooth 4.0 would be nice
@JonT Guess it doesn't matter, between Dyson which has the BEST CS I've ever seen( My DC 44 stopped working last week, they sent new battery, charger and all kinds of other things no questions asked 2 day shipping. I hadn't even registered the product but I told them I bought on Aug 10th and in came the parts which fixed it) and Meh's support which for me has been awesome as well, I know I will have a year + of use without worry.
@Outofmymind rousing-haphazard-protest I am again scared to even look that up.
@Barney I love fudge.
@Shamburglar I love purple.
@Barney Thats better.
@JonT Christmas 2015 is a Friday. Unless you have Santa's Secret Speaker Dock Spectacular ... oy. did I just feed the beast?
@JonT this deal is devoid of matter
Amazon prices are so high because this is a discontinued model I believe. Brand new for $299 some places, $350 new shipped ebay and others. That said, this is still a good price and with a additional 6 month warranty makes it a fair deal, just not as great as Meh is suggesting.
Got an Animal last time around. Works great! Filters are washable & reusable (that was surprising). The arrow painted on the red part is coming off though.
I love purple.
@Barney
Whew! That's better! Thought I was on the wrong site!
Ahh, takes me back to 2007 and the original daily deal site . . . refurb vacuums. Just need some bluetooth headsets and it'll be like pre-bust America.
I kind of want one of these, but I already have a Neato vac, a decent lightweight eureka, a lithium ion cordless and that new UV chair blower.
I really can't justify spending this much on another vacuum when the Neato already does 90% of the work on floors. It's a leased apartment too.
I just want to keep the floors clean for my pets and murder bugs is that so much to ask?
Suckiest suck that has ever sucked and it is not going from suck to blow its just staying in suck
Any bets if this will sell out as quick as yesterday's item?
@Kyser_Soze Unless they have thousands it will sellout. This is a good price even refurb and the 6 months additional warranty is a good bonus. most people were selling this for 199 prior to xmas but it is sold out everywhere and now discontinued. For the price it is a excellent vacuum.
@Kyser_Soze I don't know, but these could be handy for anyone who bought an assload of headphones yesterday.
Crappy New Year, Meh!
meh, how bout a real sucker some day? LIKE MIELE???
Wistful-partial-buffalo
How did I get sucked in to this?
Hey I got VMP now, put up somthing cheap, that I haven seen on TV.
Meh. I already have 2 dysons... Looking forward to a New Years day fuku.
You had me at "crevice tool". Who doesn't need a tool for their crevice??
I like speaker docks, and these things suck big time. I'd like a deal just on the accessories bundle, those would help a lot with the sucking.
Boo! Bring on a deal for the smaller cordless digital dyson vacuum, these big ones are old news.
I need another floor since we already have one Dyson for downstairs and one for upstairs. Wonder how long it would take me to vacuum up all the insulation in the attic...
I'm in for the other one - animal
hmm interesting
back to my firefly marathon
@communist you chose wisely. I love those big damn heroes so much.
@communist Shiny!
seriously how long is that hose?
@somf69 Wait for it... wait for it...
@somf69 That's what she said
@Cinoclav @hippiechik ...and there it is.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━━┻
So has anyone used the canister dyson? I usually like a canister better. Wondering if I should wait for a canister?
@ruthie I assume you mean the pull around type. Dysons overall are awesome but canister dysons have had many issues. Their upright line, dc44 mark2( fixes battery issue ) and onward though are awesome. Have not tried the newest canister model.
@ruthie I have the "city" cannister model (can't remember the model number and too lazy to go look) and it works great. My only issue is getting stuck around corners and the random tip-over. I bought the refurb Frankenstein from here last time around and it's fantastic! I'm waiting for a cordless model to pop up next.
@brendles i have that one. It does tip over, but it's not annoying enough to bother me. For my apt its perfect.
@Outofmymind Wow, that's one time I wouldn't mind getting a vacuum for a gift either. I bet you actually got extra naked time for that. Go you!
Expensive deal. Not bad if you need a vacuum
Expensive plastic garbage! Yay!
What does this deal even mean??? We get a random vacuum, it might be the lower cost or it might be a higher cost with other options? wtf???
@CerPrime You select the option you want at check out, the base $180, the animal $220, or the Frankenstein $260.
@studerc My script blocker was blocking seeing that.. sry.. thanks!
Why did I just buy one of these? This sucks.
Ordered one myself, it's quick n easy, awesome deal!
Only 110v? or free volt?
A sucky year deserves a sucky deal to close it out. jaded-paranoid-caviar sums it up.
Please Respect Tables!!! ┬─┬ノ(ಠ_ಠノ)
I got sucked in buying the Frankenstein edition
@72bluenova Perfect!!!! see bellow.
Meanwhile at Meh headquarters....
I bought a refurb'd dyson off overstock 7-8 years ago, still going strong, I'll try getting this one and giving the old one to my sister. I got the Frankenfurter model, Lord help me I love vaccum toys.
@mtb002 Does it come complete with corset and heels?
@brendles I put it together and I swear it cried out "Rocky!" when I plugged it in.
@ACraigL It's step 2 of their evil plan: "2. Hoard millions of dollars of inventory blocking Amazon and other fat cats."
Suck up, cheerers!
I said a while ago that I would buy a Dyson the next time meh put them up for sale and I'm true to my word. gifted-crowded-berry
I see what you did, meh, to make it special. Adding your own 6 months to the Dyson 6 month warranty to make it feel new. Nice move.
Nothing sucks like a VAX.
@nadroj PDP11?
@Crixus I understand your apprehension. I have an old DC14 and I've wondered if the "ball" technology affects suction.
I can tell you the hose it comes with sucks like a mother, though..
my sister in-law has a dc41 and she hates it. the canister is small and looses suction at half full.
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
@jrwofuga I blame @joelmw.
@lisaviolet works for me.
I love purple.
@jrwofuga @lisaviolet I think @Barney has this covered. Thanks, Barn.
@joelmw no.
@joelmw I love purple!
@jrwofuga I'm sorry. But my friend, Mr Charles, wants to let you know that we're thinking of you.
@joelmw he's not the only one.
Too bad I already have one. No more of my money for you THIS year Meh!
Tried to pull the trigger but the card on file expires today, and it's already tomorrow in Samoa or something. Figured it was a sign. Cheer up, sucker!
@nadroj Well, you know the drill. Put the blame on @joelmw.
@nadroj Yes, you've definitely figured it out. It was a sign. 1) You need to update your payment info. 2) Yeah, this isn't the suction you were looking for. Nicely done on your part. And don't let anyone--ahem, @lisaviolet--try to convince you otherwise.
@joelmw I love purple.
Will it ever ship?
@bsteiner36
how long does Meh usually take to ship an item? I've been anxiously looking for the tracking number email, but nothing yet. patience is a virtue i guess, but the wait sucks.
@jimjoebob You will not get a tracking number email. You need to go to meh.com/orders to see your tracking number. It will appear at the bottom of your order when it has shipped.
@bsteiner36 @jimjoebob Just checked in on this for y'all. They were sold on 12/31 and are shipping from somewhere else which was closed on 1/1 and 1/2, they should ship out today as this is the first day they'll be able to ship anything since we sold these.
@jimjoebob We normally ship within 2 business days of the sale. And, as @barnabee said, we don't send tracking emails.
@JonT Thank you for checking into this. I see that the pre-authorization charge (meh.com charge) is no longer on my credit card. It was pending the other day and now its gone. I will check my order tomorrow and see if it shipped.
@bsteiner36 Have yours shipped yet? I am still waiting :(
@petethickett33 Nope still waiting.
@bsteiner36 tears are coming out of my face right now
@bsteiner36 Odd mine already went through to the bank.
Seriously. I ordered this thing a year ago. its 2015 and its still no here.
Yay, I have a tracking number!
@petethickett33 I've had a tracking number for 4 days. Still no shipping info. This sucks.
@petethickett33 i finally got a tracking number today.
@bsteiner36 I actually have two now... I wonder if the attachment bit is sent separately.
@petethickett33 It is.
It's only been 3 business days since this went up for sale. Shipping around these parts is slow, as clearly stated in the FAQ.
(New Year's Eve was when this went up for sale, New Year's Day is a holiday, weekends aren't business days.)
In other words - Cheer up suckers! You'll get your stuff... eventually.
@Thumperchick @JonT The issue goes beyond that.
@outofmymind, @petethickett33, @thumperchick, @tanassa, @bsteiner36, @jont
@hart Thank you for the update.
@Outofmymind We're looking into that now.
@hart Wierd, just caught the part about Fed Ex ground. My tracking number still shows a smartpost+usps delivery. I wonder if I got a bad tracking ID or label Friday somehow
@Outofmymind You may have a bad tracking number. I'll look into it tomorrow.
@Crixus You're getting both. Your vacuum comes with a mini turbine tool and you'll also receive the tangle-free turbine in a separate package.
Seriously. Thank you.
Still looking at "Label Created" at FedEx (on 1/7/15) and not even that much from USPS. And no action since 1/2/15…I guess it will turn up eventually.
Also normally off site tracking has started with 0 or a different string of numbers. Mine starts with 612 which seems to be meh issued from past buys.
what @Outofmymind said. I had no kit, just the base model.
Looking forward to either a lovely post-holiday gift on my doorstep tomorrow or news of the whereabouts of same…the shipment process will be the only sucky part, I expect.
I hope my Vaccum isn't frozen when I get it. Currently -3 outside right now.
There is definitely a problem here. No change in Shipping status - label only. Today is Thursday, Jan 8. - no response to my direct inquiry either. Just a true update would suffice.
@jon1good1 @hart said he would look into it today and I'm sure he will. He will surely post something at sometime as he said he would.
@Outofmymind , Strangely - Fedex just delivered it with no change in tracking info. So I have it, Thank you.
@jon1good1 Hopefully I have the same fate soon, or maybe I will one of those people who wait months. Only time can tell.
@jon1good1 My tracking number says my package has been in Nashville for two days and hasn't moved. It says its set to be delivered today. Wonder if Fedex is having issues with tracking.
I was able to find my correct tracking number on fedex.com. If you create an account they allow you to track packages that match your address.
@Outofmymind I too have an invalid tracking number on my order screen. I am glad you found it. I was relieved to find mine.
Never mind. Over the phone, FedEx gave me an ETA of 1/13. Two weeks is a little more mediocre than I expected.
Well, @outofmymind, I moved a couple of months ago and FedEx won't allow me to update/add my new address so I can't track it.
Maybe not so much an engineer as a bureaucrat who thinks Kafka was an operations management theorist. Still almost certainly Obama's fault…
@paulbeard - I suspect @joelmw has not donated his goat responsibilities to Obama. You can't just go blaming random people here willy-nilly. This is meh!
@KDemo @paulbeard
@emseearr I'm almost positive Customer Support can help you with the overcooked egg problem. Right, @JonT?
Mine's scheduled for delivery on Monday via FedEx Ground. Woot! Um, I mean.. meh.
Were all these sold? Or might they pop again in the future?
@dzd does it have to be one or the other?
@Ignorant no, of course not. But if there were any available at the end of the day. They might reappear later on. Much like those fucking JBL speaker docks!
ours was delivered Friday. I think an accessory box is still on the way. Just like Winter, vacuums are coming.
Got mine today, works great and it's purdy!
@jont
@donkeykong Somewhere buried in this thread says attachment packages are being delivered separately and by snail mail.
@Outofmymind oh thanks you saved me from making anymore customer service calls !
I love purple.
@shannenelaine Awesome, just don't use the Dyson to clean the litter box. They make scoops for that.
I got my tangle free thing today. Thanks, meh.
Mine showed up DOA, but the friendly Dyson Service Center folks fixed me up. They were not impressed with the shoddy refurb though, what's up with that?
I bought TWO, and one is a POS.
I can't get any response from Meh after two requests. WTF I thought Meh was a good site?
Tons of goodies for a vacuum that doesn't half-assed work.
@Wende That's what you get for thinking. Meh is a mediocre site, at best.
@Wende And it appears to have a 6 month warranty from Dyson, so why are you trying to contact Meh?
@Wende We're pretty backed up as far as customer support requests go, but @phatmass is correct - you'll need to contact Dyson as the warranty is through them. We've heard from many people that Dyson has been great with taking care of these issues.
Hi. I’m from 2021. Just came here to say this vaccum still works like new. Good lookin’ out meh.
