@2many2no
OMGOODNESS I have actually been there! There are some other weird cool houses around there, but I remember this place! It ia right on the cliff! I have to go through old family pics now!
@Corinalynn86
It’s on the other side of town from me.
Here’s the house across the street
Kind of a weird neighborhood.
That one doesn’t look like a Star Wars crash site though.
@kittykat9180 One of your classmates gonna be living large? Hope you been keeping in touch with them all…
Would be interesting to have them answer this poll.
@Bloodshedder
I’ve always wanted to stay in a lighthouse through winter and watch the storms come in. I think that would be awesome. I would need a lot of booze though.
though i do have an affinity for houses that used to be other things… like old churches… or one house semi near me that used to be a bank branch.
master bedroom is in the vault, they put the kitchen sink in front of the old drive through window, etc… enter link description here
I’d have a main house that looks deceptively simple on the outside, so people wouldn’t know that I’m rich, but full of very personalized features inside so it’s exactly the way I want it. (I’ve been putting up with a horrible kitchen for years .)
Then I’d also have condos in several desirable locations for travel, but they’d be small and efficient, because I don’t want to worry about maintenance.
@blaineg I don’t want staff. I guess I’d have some who’d come in sometimes but I certainly wouldn’t want them living there. Many years ago I visited some very rich relatives of my husband’s and I realized that having servants around is just weird! I mean - nice having the chores done, but it felt like a real invasion of privacy.
While a lot of mine have been mentioned one that nobody has thought of is a an awesome treehouse very far up. It would defiantly need an elevator though.
Exactly where I live now, but with a shitload of problems fixed and a bunch of improvements to the wiring, plumbing, and foundation. I like my current location and house. I don’t need more. (But if I really had the money, I’d expand the garage/workshop out in the back.)
Converted 747
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/747_Wing_House
@shahnm Or any other aircraft. https://skyaviationholdings.com/old-planes-turned-into-homes-and-hotels
In an old Warehouse converted to the house of my dreams
All over the place!
Who told you and none of your business!
@tinamarie1974 If it wasn’t the goat, then i say Barbra Streisand did it.
@tinamarie1974, I stated a website to let everyone know.
@kittykat9180
I am blaming that darn goat!!!
Wherever I want.
Haunted castle. Duh.

@2many2no That looks like something designed by Antoni Gaudí…!
@2many2no
Yep, I always called that the “Ice
Cream house” I used to live in Lubbock not to far from Ransom.
Where you’ll never find me. Just know, I always know where you are.
Lots of land… like… so many acres…
Massive Victorian mansion on a mountain top. Or a spaceship. One of those two.
@lordbowen Specifically a spaceship on a mountaintop?
@lordbowen Both.
Or a Victorian mansion spaceship.
/showme a Victorian mansion spaceship
OBVIOUSLY the train! Complete with my own fleet of fully restored vintage diesels to pull it.
A different place every week.
In the mansion above the batcave, where else?!
KuoH
@kuoh Stately Wayne Manor.
My own island with all the amenities I want and need.
In a secret underground bunker like all the Swiss have.
In an old de- commisioned missile silo.
But the Russkis will probably bomb it anyway
@phendrick Not if you buy a Russian missile silo.
@blaineg @phendrick Given their apparent level of competence, that is not a good assumption IMO.
Based on what I see every day, it’s Asheville, NC.
An old castle in Europe as home base but I’d spend most of my time traveling. At least that my plan after I win the lottery.
I went to HS in Cottonwood, CA (where the mega millions winning ticket was sold).
@kittykat9180 One of your classmates gonna be living large? Hope you been keeping in touch with them all…
Would be interesting to have them answer this poll.
@phendrick, I hope so!! Maybe they’ll make an anonymous donation to our class reunion.
Everywhere
I’d live in a large cottage in the middle of the woods, close to a lake or pond, and make friends with all the woodland animals.
@Harbingerdc

@Harbingerdc WiFi?
In a lighthouse converted to residential use

OWLS! TOWELS! JOWLS! AWESOME!
Winchester House

How wealthy? If sufficient then:
Syndrome’s Island
If not then a modest size (few hundred acres) ranch in Montana far enough from the californicator flood zones
My eccentric rich dad lives in Costa Rica and he built a wall around his house & guest house.
A dormant volcano.
@TheFLP Are you_sure_ it’s not just napping?
like i’d tell you lot…

@earlyre Most of my house used to be a forest. Does that count?

@Kyeh You call yourself “rich” if you have to worry about affording staff?
@blaineg I don’t want staff. I guess I’d have some who’d come in sometimes but I certainly wouldn’t want them living there. @blaineg @Kyeh Yeah, that’s why Downton Abbey was a hit. Lots of possible drama.
@Kyeh How about robots? Nothing ever goes wrong there.
@blaineg Well, I got a robot vacuum in the last Irk, so that’s a start …

HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
/image Addams family house in color

A private tropical island and maybe pick up one of the former missle silo sites also.
Surprised no one mooned yet
