@cengland0 Mine has the quote in the "right" spot, but the colon/semi-colon are down by the space bar. (I'm guessing there's a chance of receiving either variant.) It was annoying at first, but it didn't take very long to get used to, and it sure beats typing on my tablet's screen!
@Lotsofgoats I bought them the last time they were offered and hated them so much that I donated them to family members and bought another set from meh later that doesn't have the same key arrangement issue.

I actually didn't even notice they were wrong until I was posting replies to a blog and kept sending a partial comment and I couldn't figure out why. I'm a good typist (may not such a good speller so any typos you see are from me not knowing how to spell) so I had to analyze what was causing me to post messages before I completed them. It was happening every time I tried to use a contraction. @cengland0 Have you used it much? I bought that Justin one also and so far it seems ineffective to use. The action on the keys makes it type multiple times on some pushes and miss letters on other pushes. If I stick with it will it get better? I may just use the thing as a battery backup...
@mehdaf I have used it but it's not my primary keyboard. It's probably the 4th most common keyboard that I use and it's definitely not that bad. I haven't noticed anything that prevents me from using it or to complain about.

The other belkin keyboards I got from meh all have an annoying lag on input, so you can type a word and watch as it appears a second later. Super annoying, and doesn't even work as a lame magic trick.
@MrGlass Sounds like it may be an issue with the Bluetooth device or driver, not the keyboard. The Belkin keyboard I bought from Meh (the one for sale today) has no delay at all with my Android tablet.

I fell for the awful Justin keyboard cases that plagued that one Two-for-Tuesday. These look a lot better than those. Not gonna break out the scissors this time.
So, I bought this last go around, and was going to take meh's advice and just cut the cover off, but I decided to see if my wife's iPad Air would fit or if the case could be retrofitted to fit the iPad. Too my complete and utter surprise the iPad Air snapped right in. I may not have the most convenient access to the volume control, but it definitely holds the iPad Air snugly and safely enough. Highly suggest this if you have an iPad Air. You won't find a better deal.

I'm guessing this will pair with my Chromebox, as it does have Bluetooth, but I'm wondering how well the extra keys (Search, Cut, Copy, Paste, Play/Pause, etc.) will work.

@Crixus All I have is a Chromebook. But the replacement function keys are fairly useful. I regularly use the refresh, fullscreen, forward and back keys. And there are a lot of useful key combos like the screenshot that use them. No idea if those are also used in android, though.
@andrewpatrick Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, are you saying that you've used those types of keys on your Chromebook's keyboard, or you've used a those keys on a Bluetooth keyboard like this with your Chromebook?
@Crixus unfortunately I was referring too my Chromebook's built in keyboard. But as far as I know, the Chromebook proprietary keys are just replacement for the "F" keys so it should work fine.

I just don't do enough typing on my tablet to justify carrying something else around. The whole point of the tablet is to have one compact device. If I wanted to haul around a keyboard with a screen I'd invent something crazy and call it a laptop.
@Cinoclav Still much lighter than a laptop. I take a keyboard along with my tablet when I go to meetings that require extensive note taking. Also, if you're sharing your screen, you don't want the on screen keyboard popping-up and covering half the presentation. (or showing you type passwords!)
@modmamajama if you had taken advantage of the Kershaw Snow White and "endless supply of neoprene" deals a ways back, you'd have all the tools you needed to flair those puppies out. ;-)
The double sided tape modification worked well with the IPad gen 4. Just rip off the glued on plastic thingy-bob and replace it with the taped on IPad. Be sure and only adhere the top portion and not the whole thing thereby negating the kickstand effect. MEH RULES!!!
Possible tip: I got one of these (or an extremely similar one) last year..
Rather than cutting the entire case in half, I ripped out the tray that holds the tablet. I figure some well measured use of Velcro or "Superlock" (i know it has a real trade name, but I only know it as the Radioshack brand.. http://www.radioshack.com/radioshack-clear-hook-and-loop-superlock-fasteners-4-pk/6402363.html ) could be very useful at putting a tablet that this wasn't designed for into it.
Someone who's more industrious might even be able to mod the tray.
I gave my kid the keyboard that came with the case my N7 used to be in when I switched to the neoprene one. It was never charged and he likes to push the buttons and say what letters are on them.
Misty-literate-liquid, and worth it for pairing with the scattered Nooks, both of which will fit neatly into the assorted BuiltNY sleeves, so when searching for a word at least there's a fighting chance it will show up. Manicures and touch screens and historical texts are not a good combination.

So, I bought this last go around, and was going to take meh's advice and just cut the cover off, but I decided to see if my wife's iPad Air would fit or if the case could be retrofitted to fit the iPad. Too my complete and utter surprise the iPad Air snapped right in. I may not have the most convenient access to the volume control, but it definitely holds the iPad Air snugly and safely enough. Highly suggest this if you have an iPad Air. You won't find a better deal.

I'm guessing this will pair with my Chromebox, as it does have Bluetooth, but I'm wondering how well the extra keys (Search, Cut, Copy, Paste, Play/Pause, etc.) will work.
If anybody has the old version of this thing and a Chromebook or Chromebox, could you try it out?
@Crixus All I have is a Chromebook. But the replacement function keys are fairly useful. I regularly use the refresh, fullscreen, forward and back keys. And there are a lot of useful key combos like the screenshot that use them. No idea if those are also used in android, though.
@andrewpatrick Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, are you saying that you've used those types of keys on your Chromebook's keyboard, or you've used a those keys on a Bluetooth keyboard like this with your Chromebook?
@Crixus unfortunately I was referring too my Chromebook's built in keyboard. But as far as I know, the Chromebook proprietary keys are just replacement for the "F" keys so it should work fine.
@Crixus I looked at the layout of this keyboard and it is not the normal chrome layout, so your millage may vary.

These are not those really crappy rubber-membrane keyboards that might be coming to mind. These keyboards have real "chicklet" keys. (Sorta)

I just don't do enough typing on my tablet to justify carrying something else around. The whole point of the tablet is to have one compact device. If I wanted to haul around a keyboard with a screen I'd invent something crazy and call it a laptop.
@Cinoclav Still much lighter than a laptop. I take a keyboard along with my tablet when I go to meetings that require extensive note taking. Also, if you're sharing your screen, you don't want the on screen keyboard popping-up and covering half the presentation. (or showing you type passwords!)

The double sided tape modification worked well with the IPad gen 4. Just rip off the glued on plastic thingy-bob and replace it with the taped on IPad. Be sure and only adhere the top portion and not the whole thing thereby negating the kickstand effect. MEH RULES!!!

Possible tip: I got one of these (or an extremely similar one) last year..
Rather than cutting the entire case in half, I ripped out the tray that holds the tablet. I figure some well measured use of Velcro or "Superlock" (i know it has a real trade name, but I only know it as the Radioshack brand.. http://www.radioshack.com/radioshack-clear-hook-and-loop-superlock-fasteners-4-pk/6402363.html ) could be very useful at putting a tablet that this wasn't designed for into it.
Someone who's more industrious might even be able to mod the tray.
If only this had a trackpad... then I'd be able to make use of it for my HTPC...

I gave my kid the keyboard that came with the case my N7 used to be in when I switched to the neoprene one. It was never charged and he likes to push the buttons and say what letters are on them.

Instead of cutting off half the cover, it looks like the actual keyboard is attached (glued?) to the back half of the cover. Anyone know if it can be pried off or otherwise detached, saving even more weight?
