2-for-Tuesday: Justin Tablet Case with Bluetooth Keyboard & 5800mAh Power Bank
- Model: J-1AK, J-2MK, or ITJ-4243UK
- Choose from 2 iPad Air, 2 iPad Mini, or 2 universal 7” tablet cases, none of which matters if you’re just cutting the case off
- 5800mAh battery won’t quite fully recharge your tablet, but will completely charge your phone multiple times
- Use the keyboard for anything with Bluetooth, the 2.1A charger for your smartphone, and the case for your tablet (or just cut it off)
A keyboard for your tablet and a charger for your phone.
Engineers are really smart about technology. Somebody at Innovative Technology looked at this Justin tablet keyboard case and realized, hey, you could fit a rechargeable battery in there. It wouldn’t add much size or weight, and it would turn this mild-mannered Bluetooth keyboard case into a keyboard/case/charger triple threat. But…
Engineers aren’t necessarily that smart about people. They didn’t really consider how rare it is that you need to charge your tablet on the fly. Maybe if you forget to plug it in at night, or if you’re on a really long flight, or you use it all day long for an extra-long day of work. And even then, the 5800mAh battery won’t quite fully recharge your tablet. So demand for this case was nothing special, and eventually it made its way here. But…
People can be really smart about technology. Some of us figured out that you can use this both as a keyboard case for your tablet and to charge your phone at the same time. And of course, you can use the keyboard for any device with Bluetooth. Now we’re talking about scenarios we’re likely to encounter. It seems counterintuitive to use the same device different ways for different devices, sure. It’s a little unwieldy to call it an “Tablet Keyboard Case and Smart Phone Charger”, we suppose.
But maybe if Innovative Technology had been as smart about people as they were about fitting that battery in this thing, maybe if they had marketed this more as a multi-device charging-and-keyboard solution - a Bluetooth keyboard that also serves as an all-purpose travel charging center - they would have sold enough of them to keep them out of our hands.
Actually, we kinda hope their marketing team disagrees with us. We don’t want to screw up our chances at getting ahold of their newer models someday.
