Fan Theory
Okay, hear me out: I know BB-8 seems like he’s just there for comic relief, or to serve as the spiritual ancestor of R2-D2. But what if I told you he’s more than that?
Here: look at this picture of the Death Star. What an interesting shape, right? Huh, it looks so familiar, doesn’t it? Where have I seen that shape before?
Oh, that’s right: it’s the same shape as BB-8’s rolling base!
Yes, you heard me correctly: cute little BB-8 is actually a miniature Death Star, and he is ready to become one of the greatest villains that the Star Wars universe has every seen!
But wait, you’re probably thinking: just because he rides around on what is, based on the proof presented above, unimpeachably a weapon of galactic destruction, that doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. Maybe he’s the secret weapon the Rebel Forces have needed all along, right?
Wrong. And I can prove it.
First, watch this video of a cat fighting a Sphero BB-8 toy. Obviously, the cat is a stand-in for Kylo Ren, the most cat-like figure on the Dark Side. What this video thus predicts is a major fight between Kylo Ren and BB-8 in an upcoming film.
Then, look at this picture of Adam Driver from the set of Logan Lucky. Something seems a little strange but I can’t put my finger on it. Wait, finger… hand… HE’S MISSING A HAND! Does that remind you of anyone else we know? Like, maybe LUKE SKYWALKER?!
Can’t you see?! It’s obvious. The next Star Wars movie will bring with it a changing of sides. Kylo Ren will join Rey and the Rebel Forces to help fight the most deadly villain the galaxy has ever seen: BB-8.
In conclusion, these Sphero BB-8 toys will be worth a lot more money in the coming years, so you better buy 3 of them.
