Let's Get Rolling

So, your basic lint roller is just not going to cut it for tough jobs. Also, not-so-tough jobs. Also, really any job. A dog hair here or there on a t-shirt? Maybe it can handle that.

But if you’re looking to clean the dark-colored couch cushion where your three white cats cuddle all day while you’re at work, a lint roller isn’t going to help you much.

That’s why you need something like this. It’s got some real pet-hair-pulling power. So you can really de-nasty some stuff!

Sound too good to be true? @Crotalus thought so last time we sold it. Let’s see how that turned out:

When I got this thing I thought there was no way it was going to work. Then I realized that it was just very tight and actually did have moving parts. My wife just attacked some pet pillows with it and it works amazingly well. Good job!

That being said, not everyone was as satisfied. However, this might be a matter of technique. Thankfully, @unksol chimed in and gave a little advice on how best to work this:

There is a technique. If you just push it in a straight line you’re going to get nowhere. The lint will load up and then nothing happens. It’s not one of those unpowered push vacuums, and even those require the back and forth.

You want to do a section at a time. Using short quick powerful strokes. You need some pressure for the wiper to sweep it into the hopper though not a ton. Maybe a 6-8 inch back and forth till your’re satisfied. Only takes a few strokes. Repeat as necessary to cover the full area.

Thanks @unskol.

Really, here’s the thing: one of these costs only about 10 bucks. So, if you’ve got a pet hair problem, why not get one? If it works perfectly, awesome. But even if it only works okay-ish, at least you didn’t break the bank!
