Product: Scrub-It Pet Hair Remover
Model: 709
Condition: New
Now ridding your furniture and upholstery of pet hair is as easy as rolling back and forth and watching the hair disappear. When it’s full, just empty the pet hair roller base into the trash, and you’re ready for your next cleanup.
Regardless of how much your hairy pet leaves behind, this lint brush pet hair remover is up to the challenge. No need to worry about clogs or messy adhesive tape, this reusable lint roller keeps right on rolling until the job is done.
This dog and cat hair remover does a bang-up job on furniture, bedding, carpet, and clothing – anything but smooth surfaces. It’s equally effective as a carpet hair removal tool or a pet hair remover for your car, and it doesn’t require batteries or an outlet.
While you shouldn’t submerge the pet hair lint roller in water, you can quickly clean it with a wet or soapy rag. Let it air dry, and this reusable lint and hair remover is as good as new.
Users of this pet hair lint roller have been amazed at just how much hair it’s been able to remove, especially when compared to a typical vacuum or to one of those adhesive tape tools. So, whether you need a dog hair remover for your clothes or a pet hair remover for the carpet, click Buy Now, and discover what this handy pet hair removal tool can do!
I got this for the discount on the IRK during the last marathon. Didn’t work on our cheap carpet, but worked well on the cat tree. That’s my two cents, baby!
@dcm714 they aren’t really designed for something like carpet. More a taught and flat fabric. Like sheets. That you just can’t get the fur out. Couches. I have used it on a shirt once spread out on a bed but standard lint brushes are usually better there
@macromeh I mean you really only need one. The pet attachment on my woot shark is a very similar idea but the cats broke that and these are easier anyway. I don’t think the vacuum adds much unless there was other debris.
Bought 2 for backups cause 10 bucks. If I had a pallet I’d just ask if the shelter would give one out with every adoption
I snagged one in a mehrathon and we use it on our couch all the time because our basset is attempting to make herself hairless. It actually works quite well. Even picks up the pesky human hairs.
I got the Chom Chom on @unksol’s recommendation; someone with that many cats really knows these things! And then I got some of these as well, to have extras and for gifts. THEY WORK!!!
Giant ball of ultra-fine cat hair from my white bedspread.
@Kyeh lol that tiny ball is hair is cute. When I bothered after a couple of back and forths the cover would POP open. But the idea definitely works. Might get some spares.
IDK that brand matters on something like this. It’s so simple, just a lint brush, a wiper and a hopper and yet very effective
@unksol Tiny, huh. I guess compared to the ones at your house. I was just impressed at how much the thing picks up, especially those really fine hairs.
@Kyeh yes. They are a problem… So is my motivation on cleaning intervals. I’m sure you’re way more on top of it than I am. Then multiply by 20 except some of them are not shorthairs. Mine has more fur available. But they definitely work
I just had one of these delivered from meh and used it for the first time today. I rolled it a couple times on a little ottoman and I was shocked there was hair in the chamber because the ottoman didn’t look like it had any hair on it…and I had just vacuumed it right before I tried this roller. I thought to myself this thing is awesome, I need another one…and to my surprise it’s on meh tonight. Yay!
I don’t understand how this wizardry works, but it does better than any other pet focused vacuum I’ve used. As an engineer I like knowing how things work, this makes no sense. It’s not static, it’s not adhesive, maybe, I don’t care at this point, I just am in awe. Thanks meh in for 2!
@Kyeh@wings2004 just a lint brush but because you roll it back and forth the wiper clears the lint strip for you. Apply some pressure and vigur as far as I can tell
I guess I would be sad if the plastic cracked or the lint pads came off. But. They are probably all made in the same factory to differing standards and they do work. Shockingly well.
The second I read the title today, I thought of all these hairless animals running around - something like the writeup (but without the people dressed in black, nice touch ). But more in line of a help group for pet owners who don’t read directions.
Does that mean there’s something wrong with me??
I have the Chom Chom version. It’s the best tool for pet hair pickup I’ve ever used aside from the vacuum. Just ordered a knockoff from Temu for $2.50. Will have to report back on the junk level when it arrives.
The liquidation place up the road from me had these (or another brand but exact same) for $1. Boxes and boxes of them last month. I bought one hoping it would pick up all the shit that falls off my boyfriends work pants (he does construction) it didn’t work. Now he’s not allowed to sit down till he changes, I’m tired of vacuum the couch bc of him.
If I knew they were such a hot item I would had bought a lot of them and just sold them to you guys lol. But I would need cheap shipping too
@Star2236 ok that’s total bull shit. Not sure why my brain shortcuited.
It’s really simple the fibers are biased so they grab when pulled in one direction and release in the opposite. Same as every lint brush ever. Bunch of small hooks. Like Velcro
But they are meant more for cloth/hair fibers they can catch on. Not… You know just dirt. That’s easy to slip past.
I mean when I’m crawling around in the dirt/under the car/yard work I just dont wash the clothes every day.
I put them on to do the chores, come in, take a shower, changes to “inside” clothes/sweats.
If he’s doing dusty construction work… Yeah… I guess. Do you want him to strip in the garage and clear a path to the shower? Lol. I guess I have that option but not everyone does . Or at least needs to send people away for a minute
@unksol
That makes more sense about the lint brush bc I was gonna say there’s always the black stuff (dust and lint I assume) when you use an all red lint brush that you scrap off along with the hair.
My boyfriend does a lot of drywall and grouting and whatever else comes with remodeling houses. It got to the point I was vacuuming in front of where he sat every day bc of everything falling off his clothes. Even the lint trap is full of grout pieces from washing his clothes. Now that he changes when he gets home everything is so much cleaner bc he’s not tracking it around the house all evening. And no I don’t make him change in the garage lol (although it a good idea), he’s allowed to change in the bedroom.
@Star2236 i mean I “change” in the garage in that I just leave everything in the garage and put on some sandals and head for the shower. But not everyone is ok with a naked dirty man walking through the house.
If I wasn’t doing that id go straight to the bathroom and leave them in there to shower. At least you can just sweep the bathroom floor
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Star2236 although. I’m just saying. If you happen to be home when he gets home. If you wanted to convince him. “would you rather I spend my time cleaning up or in the shower?” Would probably be a very persuasive argument.
But also it’s his mess he can clean it up. So ya know. Depends on your dynamic
Just yesterday we were looking at the sheet we place over the bed in the room the cat loves. All sorts of hair on it! (that is why there is a sheet on top of the blankets) We said, we really need one of those hair removers and today here they are!!!
@werehatrack It’s better on some surfaces than others. They’re these other things that my sister gave as presents one year - they’re good on things with a moderate nap, like the carpet on a cat tree. I think she got them on Temu, but they’re available many places. https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Hairball-Epilator-Removing-Furniture/dp/B09BHZBQKS/ref=asc_df_B09BHZBQKS/
(There’s a bunch of similar ones on Amazon but this one has unintentionally funny videos on the page.)
When I got this thing I thought there was no way it was going to work. Then I realized that it was just very tight and actually did have moving parts. My wife just attacked some pet pillows with it and it works amazingly well. Good job!
@richferg They turn about 90 degrees to swap from forward to reverse. “In theory”, the brush being stowed gets its lint/hair load scraped off into the hopper in the process. It is a nice theory, a pretty theory, but does not meet the technical definition of a theory in any way.
@chienfou@richferg I regard the technical definition as being the one used in the sciences, not the common vernacular as catalogued by the dictionaries.
@chienfou@richferg The quotes are there to emphasize that I am not accepting the vernacular usage of the phrase, and that in fact the usage does not hold up either way because the expected result is not obtained - ergo, the assumption may be that the brushes are self-emptying but the observed behavior falls short. In science, the theory is the explanation that best fits the facts; theory and practice had damn well better be the same or the theory is disproven and a new theory that actually fits the facts must be devised. Here, the facts show that the self-cleaning is imperfect, so the proper theory of the device’s operation is that the reversal mechanism may remove some of the collected fur from the brushes, but manual attention is needed to achieve complete clearing; the implementation is imperfect. (I would be willing to bet two cents that the other brand cited by several users works better.)
So i will say that they feel a little cheaper build wise than the chom chom. Plastic seems a little thinner. But seems like they should work the same.
There is a technique. If you just push it in a straight line you’re going to get nowhere. The lint will load up and then nothing happens. It’s not one of those unpowered push vaccums, and even those require the back and forth.
You want to do a section at a time. Using short quick powerful strokes. You need some presseure for the wiper too sweep it into the hopper though not a ton. Maybe a 6-8 inch back and forth till your’re satisfied. Only takes a few strokes. Repeat as necessary to cover the full area.
But it works like I would expect for it. This is a pretty tight weeve. So it bunches some anyway. My sheets are not so there are just embedded hairs and it gets those.
Dont have any on the bed at the moment to test. And yes I think the cat ears on this are dumb. But. It should work fine/quick if you get the hang of it. I suppose at this price point quality control could be an issue. If any one of the 4 lint strips were backwards it would be ineffective.
There’s one you can see on each side and one in the spring loaded flap on each side. They have to work together so when you push they pick up hair. When pull back the bottom lint releases and the one on the springed flap grabs it up. Then when you go back again the lint on the tab releases and the wiper pushes in.
The whole thing is just based on how lint brushes function
Takes maybe 20 seconds to do that cushion. Rapid short back and forth. If it doesn’t work for you that’s legit. Not having anything not go into the hopper on this though so I would definitely check the directions the lint fibers are set up. Granted no idea what meh would do if there was a manufacturing defect in the lot
@chienfou@richferg@werehatrack@unksol
Seeing your photos made me realize that they’ve sold two different models of this thing. I bought some the first time and they don’t have those goofy ears! They look almost identical to the ChomChoms, but with a slightly different handle. They work almost as well but are a little stiffer somehow.
Had a chance to try mine out today for the first time. Had to go to a funeral that I knew would be a couple of hours long so I went in black scrubs (so I could cut out and go straight to work if it happened to go over 2.5 hours). Had a bunch of cat fur on the pants and this did an EXCELLENT job of pulling the fur and lint off. I will try and tackle some of the upstairs (kitty friendly) furniture in the next couple of days to really test it out.
Oh, and yes… the ears are dumb as shit (and definitely look like frog eyes).
@chienfou If it cleaned up black fabric that’s pretty good! That’s the kind of surface they’re good on, too. Not as great on anything with much of a heavy texture.
@chienfou I’m interested to hear how it does.
Hey, it DOES get capitalized, and I actually visited a place in France where they had one of the early original Jacquard looms - Les Baux! What a neat village, preserved to still look Medieval.

My first time catching the midnight Meh and it’s gone to the dogs…
I have a ChomChom and it’s totally worthwhile. This does look pretty comparable too so yeah
We have a poodle, so not needed for our pet. My wife wants to know if it works for shedding husbands.
@hchavers what… What are you shedding? Do you need to see a doctor?
Something something woman’s hair clogging the shower drain would be the comeback
@hchavers @unksol I believe what is needed is divorce court to shed a husband.
Does this work on long hair of the Homosapien variety? Asking for a friend ….
@seraphimcaduto Not as well. It works for short human hairs though.
I got this for the discount on the IRK during the last marathon. Didn’t work on our cheap carpet, but worked well on the cat tree. That’s my two cents, baby!

@unksol Hey, maybe Meh would give you a discount on a pallet of these things for your herd…
(Or is it clowder? )
@macromeh I mean you really only need one. The pet attachment on my woot shark is a very similar idea but the cats broke that and these are easier anyway. I don’t think the vacuum adds much unless there was other debris.

@Star2236 I believe it’s a static electric thing with hair. How all lint brushes work. So yes for general dirt not as effective
@unksol
Makes sense.
@Star2236 ok that’s total bull shit. Not sure why my brain shortcuited.

@Barc777 There’s a reason it’s called Furniture.

@werehatrack It’s better on some surfaces than others. They’re these other things that my sister gave as presents one year - they’re good on things with a moderate nap, like the carpet on a cat tree. I think she got them on Temu, but they’re available many places.

Why, exactly, does it have non-turning wheels???
@richferg They turn about 90 degrees to swap from forward to reverse. “In theory”, the brush being stowed gets its lint/hair load scraped off into the hopper in the process. It is a nice theory, a pretty theory, but does not meet the technical definition of a theory in any way.
@richferg @werehatrack
Ummm…gotta disagree with you there.
From the Oxford dictionary definition of “in theory”.
FWIW Webster’s is about the same…
@chienfou @richferg I regard the technical definition as being the one used in the sciences, not the common vernacular as catalogued by the dictionaries.
@richferg @werehatrack
OK I’ll buy that, but then why the quotes. It was (seemingly) clearly a vernacular/idiomatic usage…
@chienfou @richferg The quotes are there to emphasize that I am not accepting the vernacular usage of the phrase, and that in fact the usage does not hold up either way because the expected result is not obtained - ergo, the assumption may be that the brushes are self-emptying but the observed behavior falls short. In science, the theory is the explanation that best fits the facts; theory and practice had damn well better be the same or the theory is disproven and a new theory that actually fits the facts must be devised. (I would be willing to bet two cents that the other brand cited by several users works better.)
@chienfou @richferg @werehatrack
@chienfou @Kyeh @richferg Yep. Ommanerd.
@Kyeh @richferg @werehatrack
Isn’t that what the definition I quote says?
usually with the implication that it does not in fact happen.
@chienfou @Kyeh @richferg @werehatrack
It can be a lot of hair to get though
@chienfou @Kyeh @richferg @werehatrack basically go back and forth quickly. You’ll here it hit the stops and get the rapid rythm.
Please ignore the ratty couch.
@chienfou @Kyeh @richferg @werehatrack hit it again this morning. More hair that I couldn’t see.
@chienfou @richferg @werehatrack @unksol
Seeing your photos made me realize that they’ve sold two different models of this thing. I bought some the first time and they don’t have those goofy ears! They look almost identical to the ChomChoms, but with a slightly different handle. They work almost as well but are a little stiffer somehow.
@chienfou @Kyeh @richferg @werehatrack I guess to make it cute. For. Well IDK what audience. There is an Asian market for cat stuff. But.
I get more a frog/tadpole vibe
@chienfou @richferg @unksol @werehatrack
That’s exactly what I was going to say - a frog! Pretty silly looking.
@Kyeh
the upstairs stuff is a Jacquard fabric (never really sure if you should capitalize that or not). Should put this gizmo thru it’s paces.
@chienfou I’m interested to hear how it does.
Hey, it DOES get capitalized, and I actually visited a place in France where they had one of the early original Jacquard looms - Les Baux! What a neat village, preserved to still look Medieval.
@Kyeh
That’s cool. Need to file that away for a visit some time.
@chienfou Yes, I really loved that trip. We just drove through the area stopping where it looked interesting. Such a beautiful country.
