Take A Deep Breath

Earlier this morning, I took a jog. With the leaves on the trees, the bike trail was nicely shaded and little drifts of white cottony fuzz lined the sides of the paved path. It looked beautiful, really, and I think I would’ve enjoyed the serenity of it if I could’ve stopped coughing.

After that, I showered up, ate lunch, and went out to run some errands. A few clouds hung in the sky, keeping the sun from beating down too hard but not obscuring the light. As I drove along, I observed flowering bushes, rolling green lawns, and gardens erupting with life. That is, after I used probably a half-gallon of wiper fluid to clear the pollen off my windshield.

Soon, the bonfires and grills of the neighborhood will be lit. The air will fill with the smell of burning wood, hot charcoal, and meat cooked over an open flame. And those smells will waft into my house through the open windows and linger there, the unwanted side effects of revelry in which I took no part.

Or maybe they won’t. Because maybe the windows will be shut to keep in the AC. And the air will grow stale and sour, and god forbid I fry even one slice of bacon because I’ll be smelling its greasy ghost straight through to August.

What I’m getting at is: while this time of year can be magical, spring air really sucks.

Now, Our Happi air purifier can’t help me on my jog. It can’t keep my car clean. But it can do a number on the other stuff. And the number it can do is 99.97. As in, it can filter 99.97% of particles as small as 0.03 microns out of the air in spaces up to 1500 square feet in area. That’s dust, pet dander, allergens, smoke, and general unpleasant household smells. How does it do this? With 5 layers of filtration: an activated carbon layer, a UV-B sterilizing bulb, a photocatalyst mesh layer screen, an early initial effect layer, and a HEPA H13 filter. And despite all this power, it’s super lightweight and works quietly. Like, really quietly. Like, we’re talking 35 decibels, which isn’t much.

Plus, it has a rad built-in LED screen that tells you how much garbage it’s pulled out of the air, and monitors humidity, temperature, and filter life. And it generally looks pretty cool. Which isn’t super important, mind you, but if you’re gonna have something in the corner quietly chugging away, it’s nice that it’s not a total eye-sore.

So get one, and breathe easy this spring! (When you’re inside, at least.)
