I don’t celebrate holidays, but I definitely enjoy the days off.
I used to work for the local State University and we got two weeks off without having to use leave. I rather enjoy that.
@kittykat9180 I work in education, I only have to use three vacation days and get two weeks off. My dad passed away recently, so I don’t care about Christmas this year. Time off is great though.
We’re having lots of family game time, binging Stranger Thingsand taking dogs for walks. Staying put for Christmas. Just us. Actually really looking forward to it now.
Fun story. A couple years ago I was running on a rural dirt road in Northern Wisconsin. There was a wolf also running on the road a couple hundred yards in front of me. I barked at it. I turned around, saw me, and ran into the woods.
Woohoo! We already did “Christmas” with the (adult) kids earlier this month, so this week is time for relaxing and enjoying the season.
(We will host dinner with my wife’s mom and sister on the 25th.)
Today I have to wrap a huge mountain of presents so yay fun for me I did make some really good eggnog cookies with a yummy booze icing yesterday though.
@sillyheathen@Star2236 OH! I also got a brand new automatic litter box for the cats! It came all the way from Rancho Cucamonga, California! I just love imports! Don’t tell the cats, but it’s really more for daddy than them.
