CLEAN COOKING/S1E1 transcription

HOST: Hello all, and welcome to Clean Cooking, where we believe in keeping it clean! Let’s meet our two contestants.

CONTESTANT 1: My name is Bryce Delmar and I work as a private chef and nutritionist in Boston, Massachusetts. My clients rely on me to craft scratch-made recipes that are as delicious as they are healthy. And that’s why I’m going to win Clean Cooking!

CONTESTANT 2: I’m Kelcie Marshall and I’m the chef and owner of Marshall Farms outside of Bend, Oregon. We’re not just farm-to-table. We are the farm! We grow all our own organic produce and raise our own animals so we can ensure our customers get what they order with none of the nasty stuff. When it comes to cooking, I don’t know any other way than clean!

HOST: Great! Now, the rules are simple, we’ll ask you to make three meals–breakfast, lunch, and dinner–using a variety of mystery ingredients. Win two out of three rounds and you will take home the prize. Sound good? Excellent. Let’s take a look at those mystery ingredients for round one. Can you make a breakfast using: processed bacon grease, Pixie sticks, MSG, and corn syrup? We’re about to find out. Time starts–

CONTESTANT 1: Wait, is this a joke? I never use this stuff.

HOST: The challenges aren’t meant to be easy.

CONTESTANT 2: But, like, there’s a lot of chemicals and processed stuff in here. Isn’t this show about clean cooking?

HOST: What? No! The show is called Clean Cooking because what you cook doesn’t matter. Each round, we will judge you based on how clean your cooking station looks when you’re done cooking. Hence, we’ve provided each of you with a Calphalon Space-Saving Hard-Anodized Nonstick 9-Piece Cookware Set. Not only are they great pots and pans, but they stack when they’re not in use, allowing you to easily clean and organize your kitchen!

CONTESTANT 1: But why did you choose us?

CONTESTANT 2: Yeah, it’s confusing to call a show Clean Cooking and bring in people who practice clean cooking, but then have it be about something entirely different.

HOST: Just a coincidence, I guess. Anyway, if there are no further questions your time starts… oh… huh. I’m getting word from our producer that the show has just been canceled. Sorry folks! Good luck with your careers!
