“Maybe you need to stop looking in the past, dad,” said Cassie. “And start projecting a better future for yourself.”
A tear came into Sal’s eye then, but he hastily wiped it away. “I told you, girl, I ain’t putting my ornaments on social media. It ain’t never gonna happen. Let the bank foreclose on my shop all they want. I got a way of doin’ things, and that’s how I do it. Not you or no influencer gonna change my mind.”
