Actually this thread needs an appropriate picture that will show up in the forum in that little round circle to the left of the thread name (pretty please find one?). I am going to lose my edit time to find one. I didn’t put my photo there as I didn’t want my toe there as that since this is a holiday irk.

If you are doing a tat for the purpose of getting an irk then … on the old days when they did this offer every so often … you had to get the tat during the days the offer was live.
if you wanna get a meh tat because you like it that’s great.
But I don’t know if that will get you an IRK even if they ever open up the offer again because they were making people get them during specific periods when it was approved as an offer
They keep a list of who got approved and got the tata at the right time
on the other hand if you just want one then go get one
@Nakome I have zero doubts that you still have the tattoo or that this photo is current but, for the sake of the rules, please put the date on an object in the photos to prove it isn’t just an old photo edited.

I hope that you all don’t mind me joining your specialized chat, but I got lucky(unlucky?) enough to grab an IRK in this last mehrathon, and I am excited! I am an adult with no family, but a few good framily(who have decided that we all have enough stuff and so don’t get me anything and I won’t get you anything and we will wish each other properly on festive days), but the holidays are hard - my grandparents raised me and I miss them. I also have a Dec 30 birthday and I turn 50 this year. So, which day do I save the IRK for? I would love to have something to open for both days, and I might, even without the IRK but if the last few years are any indication, probably not. So, just in case, which one should have priority in your opinion? I would normally just go with Christmas, but 50 seems… monumental? I usually drive a couple hours back to my hometown to go whale watching on my birthday, so I do have that to also look forward to. Thank you for your time, and I’m sorry for the wall of text. I have a mild traumatic brain injury and my usual friendly neighborhood editor was not available this evening to help me with brevity, staying on topic, and spelling/grammar, so I can only imagine what a hot dumpster fire this is.
@ChompyGator you might not get a lot of eyes on this comment because most abandon the thread after the event (unless they get a reply notification to one of their comments)… So you’d likely get more responses starting a to level post on it’s own.
That said, I was catching up on late entires in here so saw it .
I’m not sure saving the irk as a gift to yourself will give you happy thoughts, depending what you get lol, but your bday is a good time to try to celebrate yourself, especially for a big 50 bday. I’d save the box of disappointment for that, of I were choosing for myself.

The ink-for-IRK offer was rare and sporadic. The offer came to a final end about a year and a half ago.
