I made a purchase at meh.com with free shipping coupon and got an unexpected membership charge. All my requests to reimburse were denied. Scammers detected.
@Ignorant Thank you for the info. Interesting. I’ve already sent about 10 messages to meh with the request to cancel and reimburse but nothing happened. Found another fraud. It says one click to cancel but nothing to click. They choose a wrong person to get easy $9.93. I am going to get it back no matter what, in principle. Already started working on it. Meh.com will pay greatly for such dirty games.
@sergetest I assure that meh isn’t fraudulent and you should be able to cancel your Membership at the link below. Once cancelled you would automatically be reimbursed if the service wasn’t used (if you used the free shipping then there would be nothing to reimburse)
@sergetest I did a quick check. No fraud or dirty games here. You didn’t put in the coupon (or more likely put it in but then canceled out the savings by selecting the wrong option). You selected the option that showed $8.99/month rather than the flat-rate shipping charge.
A coupon for removing the shipping cost won’t work if there’s no shipping cost, which is the case when you choose the membership.
The membership hasn’t been canceled yet, but I can cancel it for you if you’d like. It won’t refund the amount because it was used to cover the shipping cost on the order, and you actually saved money by clicking that option (since it would have been $1 more with the flat-rate option). If you have that coupon code, and it’s valid, I can probably credit the coupon value to your account so you can save on an order later.
@sergetest
OK thanks. I am a (long time) VMP but was interested in your plight. I refer this site a lot to folks and appreciate you sharing your experience with the forum, so I know what to look out for when I am talking to people.
edit wonder if they got rid of that… I didn’t see any of the mediocre/save sites listed.

@sergetest just an FYI you are currently still a Member, be sure to cancel if you in fact don’t want the membership

@sergetest
Where did you find a free shipping coupon?
@chienfou On the deals web site. And it worked just fine but meh.com charged me for a membership in addition.
