24-Pack: Super Coffee Iced Keto Coffee
Our Take
- 200mg of caffeine, 10g of protein and a little MCT oil for sustained energy and focus
- Low carb, low calorie, low sugar
- Sweetened with natural sweeteners like monk fruit and stevia, so know that going in
- Dating is 8/6/23 for Vanilla and 7/2/23 for Caramel, but per the manufacturer these are safe and acceptable to consume up to 6 months after
- Can they make a margarita: No, but they can make your margarita extra gross
High Caffeine, Low Carb
We’ve got a rare situation here today; there’s a somewhat obscure consumable product for sale, and I’ve actually had it before! In fact, I drink these things fairly regularly. And here is my honest review.
TASTE - So, they’re sweet. That’s what you should know going in. They don’t taste like the mildly bitter caramel latte you get at the really good local coffee shop. They’re intense, is what I’m saying, but I actually like them. Looking at the label, I see some monk fruit, I see some stevia. If that stuff doesn’t sit well with you, then you might like this stuff. But look, if you want something with 10 grams of protein, only 80 calories, 3 grams of carbs, and less than a gram of total sugars, you can’t swirl in real homemade caramel sauce.
ENERGY - This stuff has 200mg of caffeine in each bottle. That’s just over 2 cups of normal coffee’s worth. Do you feel it? In my experience, yes, you do. That being said–and I gotta be honest, maybe this is marketing working on me–the addition of the protein does make it so that I don’t experience that nasty shaky sensation like when I house too much espresso on an empty stomach or have an energy drink.
WHAT THEY’RE GOOD FOR - Obviously, they’re great for a serious caffeine infusion. But what I like to use them for is when I need to take an early-in-the-day jog/walk. Maybe I had a doozy of a dinner the night before and don’t want to eat a full-blown breakfast that’s gonna get real obnoxious come mile 3. Or maybe it’s set to get up to 90 by 10am, or a storm’s rolling in, or what have you. Point is: sometimes I need to get up and go, and I need some caffeine, and I need some protein to counter the jitteriness of the caffeine, and I need it in a form that’s not gonna sit like a brick in my tummy. These do that.
KETO - Oh, right. They’re Keto. That’s important too, I guess.
In conclusion, I like these things, and you might too. Your mileage may vary based on your enjoyment of the various sugar substitutes used. But they will deliver the caffeine and protein they promise, all without the carbs. So maybe give them a try?
And, of course, if you’ve had these, give us your take in the comments.
