Power When You Need It

A true story:

Earlier today (as in: several days ago by the time this posts), I got home from the grocery store with a pretty simple plan: heat up a black bean burger for lunch and get to work. But as I made my way to the microwave, patty in hand, I watched the display flicker and go dark. As did the lights. As did everything. A moment later, the power flickered back on, and I breathed a sigh of relief, only to watch everything go out all over again.

Not a big deal. I’d drive to a coffee shop and get some lunch to bring home, hoping to return to a fully lit house. But, I thought, I’d better see what I had to write about so I could think about it en route and come back ready to knock out some copy. Luckily, I’d opened the links from the sales spreadsheet earlier in the morning without really looking at them, and they were still up on my laptop. So, before heading out, I checked to remind myself of the product.

And, no shit, it was these Coleman Generators.

So, my angle here is pretty straightforward, and also very much on my mind: nothing ages as poorly as a power outage. A flicker is a little thrill. A few minutes without power, there’s some tension. An hour, there’s some frustration. A few hours, there’s misery. A few days, there’s true despair.

Do these things solve all the issues that a power outage presents? Of course not. But they do help with many, and they definitely do a lot more than should be reasonably expected of something that weighs between 11 and 27.3 pounds. Like, we’re not talking about powerbanks on steroids here. Yes, they can charge your laptop, your phone, your tablet, and your earbuds. Many times over. But they can also run your wifi, your television, even your refrigerator. And they can run that fridge for 9 hours (500), 13 hours (750), 18 hours (1000), or even 27 hours (1500). And that’s without the 991Wh Expansion (which we are also offering and which works with all models but the 500).

You can even use these things to run a blender for 2 to 6 hours (depending on which generator you’ve got, obviously). That’s right. With the biggest one of these things, you could make smoothies for 6 straight hours, nonstop, in the middle of a power outage. Would it be a smart use of your precious electricity? Absolutely not. But the point is YOU COULD.

TL;DR: there’s an option for everyone here–from the small-yet-pretty-mighty 500 to the still-fairly-small-yet-slightly-heavier-and-super-friggin-mighty 1500. So buy one. Because your next power outage might be like the one I experienced today–an hour-ish of mild inconvenience. Or, it might be much worse. But at least, with one of these things, you’ll be ready.
