When waiting for an IRK to be delivered do you:
6
- Keep opening the front door to see if it there yet.
- Don’t even know or care it is coming that day as you have gotten such crap before.
- Keep promising yourself this will be the last you order, but keep coming back as you are a glutton for punishment.
- Can think of nothing else that day since you have nothing better going on in your life.
- Hope you can sneak the box in the house and hide it before your spouse sees it as she doesn’t know you have ordered another one.
- Hope you get something that vibrates.
- Keep wondering where you life has gone to get so excited over this.
- Add your own feelings if none of the above is applicable.
A mixture of 1, 5 and then 7…

My IRKs are delivered to my maildrop.
I put off picking them up, as it means I might have to do a Goodwill drop off.
Once in a while I pick them and and forget to open the box for a week or two. I’m not “anticipating” the contents in a positive way.
Not always “straight to Goodwill” type items tho. Recently I got a weighted blanket. Will keep it.
I attempt purchase them just for the fun of seeing if I can manage to snag one. I don’t expect to like what’s in the box.
And I don’t hang out waiting for them to come up on offer. If I’m there at the right moment, and am fast and lucky, then fine; I attempt to spend $5 in exchange for or a moment’s cheap and misguided pleasure of “winning”.
Otherwise I don’t get one. Which is also fine.
@f00l lol, maybe you should ask Meh to ship them to a random non-winner. All the joy of playing the game, none of the “prizes”! Plus mystery deliveries are delightful.
@brainmist @f00l IRK Drop!
I track it, and then we open it as family entertainment. Well, the two of us.
SWMBO looks forward to them. But that might be because of the Cuisinart pot& pan set we scored once.
Track and open immediately upon receipt, apparently hoping for massive amounts of bubble wrap or maybe #6
Get excited trying to score an IRK but keep forgetting to watch for them.
Get excited when I win one then promptly forget about it.
Get excited when I get an email saying it’s arriving today then promptly forget about it.
Get excited when it arrives and open it immediately (or I might forget about it)
Am always entertained by the contents.
7. Keep wondering where my life has gone to get so excited over this.
When they just show up as expected? Eager anticipointment. (I’m pretty easily entertained, so generally more satisfaction than disappointment, followed by "now what am I going to do with all this? "
When FedEx reschedules 12 times?
I get feisty.
@brainmist Starred for “anticipointment” !
