@macromeh nope but I did debate back and forth about mowing the front lawn for a while Wednesday. Cause the rain was coming and on all sides. Just kept missing… Then it would be wet/I wouldn’t get to it.
I got sick of the radar, put in the big battery, and used the self propel lever more than usual and beat it by a minute.
It’s 67F 90‰RH outside so. Not bad. Humidify sucks across the board but is weather
Combination thereof…We (up in the lesser Great White North–North Dakota) have had unbearable smoke in our region lately from the Canadian wildfires. The bugaboos are really starting to hatch in full force. Then we know that the humidity is coming…and when it comes, it comes with a 1-2 punch of humidity + 90s or even 100 degree temperatures which makes it totally unbearable. By the time they all get going, everyone is like, “BRING ON THE BLIZZARDS!!”
@tohar1 sounds sublime! In my military career it was often said there is a pretty girl-handsome guy behind every tree in North Dakota. Truthfully, I always wanted an assignment to Minot but never got the chance.
@unksol I think the record here was about 115 or so. I remember one year going to the farmer’s market early on a Saturday, think 8AM, and it was already 90
For me, living in the high desert Southwest, the biggest disadvantage to going outside is air quality. We are in perpetual drought and are seemingly always dealing with blowing dust and smoke from wildfires.
Pain and laziness. Even though today’s not a nice day I still haven’t gone to sleep from last night bc I’m in so much pain so I’m just sitting on the heating pad hoping I can eventually pass out
Bugs.
@yakkoTDI

Myeaaah… Why don’t you wanna go outside?
The sun.
Having to change out of my PJs into regular clothing.
@heartny ROTFLOL

Work
Having to get off my ass and actually go outside.
@chuckf1

I go outside on most days… to get the mail. Working from home does have its privileges.
Sloth.
Not the guy from The Goonies. The lazy kind…
jewish space lasers
@spacemart Great answer!
Having sex would keep me inside on a nice day.
Guess that’s why I’m outside so much in this crappy (hot, humid, and more hot) weather.
@phendrick you lucky

Yard work
Noisy/nosy neighbors.
Television and Air Conditioning.
People.
Heat. You didn’t mention HEAT??
For cryin’ out loud! This is TEXAS!!
@Tadlem43 Wimp!
This question. The sense does not make.
Humidity part of the weather it is. Be or be nice.
Bugs, invaders of the day they are.
@unksol I agree

@unksol Too much sun you had. Suffering Yodementia you are.

I work nights, so I’m asleep most days,nice or not.
My neighbor Playing loud obnoxious music for the whole block to hear.
How about ALL of the Above & then some!
Household chores that require doing (that are more time sensitive than the outdoor ones).

@accelerator It’s true, but the caveat being…we only have SEVEN TREES in ND!!

@Cerridwyn ouch
@unksol I think the record here was about 115 or so. I remember one year going to the farmer’s market early on a Saturday, think 8AM, and it was already 90
@Cerridwyn the mid mid west is generally chill all the way around. 67F atm but 90% humidity because of a recent storm.
We might get in the 90s when it’s actually summer. I can’t really complain
For me, living in the high desert Southwest, the biggest disadvantage to going outside is air quality. We are in perpetual drought and are seemingly always dealing with blowing dust and smoke from wildfires.
@accelerator true dat. Although the ‘high desert’ is a few miles up the hill, it’s close enough
Pain and laziness. Even though today’s not a nice day I still haven’t gone to sleep from last night bc I’m in so much pain so I’m just sitting on the heating pad hoping I can eventually pass out
@Star2236 yikes. What’d you do/get done to? There is the goat to blame if you can find it
@unksol
I didn’t get anything done, it was just a bad day. I get like that sometimes.
@Star2236 well I meant the source of the pain. Chronic pain sucks/hope you feel better
@unksol
I knew what you meant.
The intense gravitational attraction between the sofa and my pants. If there weren’t certain laws about being outside without pants, then… Who knows?
KuoH
The heat. My God, the heat.
It’s brutal out there - sunny, 74F and a light breeze in the PNW.
@macromeh /humble brag
@macromeh Oh, is it the one day it isn’t raining in the PNW?
@macromeh @unksol
/showme someone humble bragging
@mediocrebot, I miss the colorful weird demon-like figures in your creations.
torrential rain makes for difficult day outside but not impossible!
@pskemp2 Up here in the Boston area, this is the 12th Saturday in a row with rain.
Torpor and lassitude.
