Putting the "ink" in "I think this qualifies, probably?"

@cbilyak I checked the 2023 last call and it does appear to be purely “is there an IRK”, not “is it a Mehrathon”.

Honestly, this last one was suuuuper meh. But a lot of people got Murad lotion, so I’m optimistic.

2023 Ink for IRK

@kittykat9180 there were a few small windows where they offered, for funsies, that if you got a Meh-related branding tattoo, you got IRKs for free, for life.

The windows were very short, like 24 to 48 hours to get it. I’m not keen on the exact count…but, I think there’s between 20 to 30 of us that were crazy (dumb?) enough to do it, lol!

Of course I could be remembering it wrong. I got mine during the pandemic when I just thought the world was crazy. It feels like that was many, many years ago now.

@djslack @kittykat9180 @PHRoG Yes. Years and years and years ago at the first offering, they said if anybody gets a tattoo they’ll get a surprise but they didn’t say what it was and so because I live my whole life YOLO, I went and got the tattoo. That first window was only for 24 hours.

I was the only person to get the tattoo that year and so they ended up paying for my tattoo cost and guaranteeing me an Irk every single time for Infinity.

The next few years they continue to offer the deal and more and more people slowly got added to the group. Then a few years ago they did a final offering. They also gave the offer of getting another tattoo that had to be related to a television show. I was the only person that did that that year as well, I got a pie with the words “Nobody likes a soggy bottom” underneath it for the Great British bake off. For that one, they did not pay my tattoo fees but I did get a really cool old license plate that said Meh on it, blanket, and a personalized coupon code that I could use a set number of times. I have definitely used all the uses on that code at least a year ago at this point.

To this day every time an Irk comes around, if I can remember to to check that day in post, I still get a free IRK. Honestly, the tattoo has been a thing that has gotten a ton of people I know on this site because people always ask and there’s the story and I tell them. I am happily a walking advertisement for this site.
