At my old work, the city mandated an ADA accessible restroom in the office expansion area … was was formerly a storage mezzanine … which is only accessible by stairs.
The downstairs restrooms were made ADA compliant already and sufficiently met the proper state and county codes for the entire building.
@RiotDemon 36" minimum clearance on the stairs. Given that they were 36-1/4" wide, I don’t think they make any chair lift that’ll fit in a quarter inch space.
