Years ago I even had a pt leave the ER waiting area after she had been signed in and triaged, to go home to call for an ambulance so she could get into the back quicker, we re-triaged her back out to the lobby with a new pt ID number and put her even further down the list…

Who decided that lightning cables should all be made fatter than the original Apple ones, so they won’t fit when you use a case on your iPhone? Seems like they’re all made too fat now.
@katbyter Yup, had that same problem too with most 3rd-party cables, with one brand of iPad case for me. Another case had a larger cut-out so it was OK. Most people don’t know there’s actually an electronic “chip” in the end of the cable. Apple uses their expertise in miniaturization and manufacturing to get it into a very small elegant cable. Other brands usually just make a much bigger hunk of plastic. (this secret “chip” also is what determines if the cord is “legal” or not, i.e. approved by Apple, with appropriate license fee paid). I’ve had some 3rd-party cables work OK until a new iOS version comes out, and then they miraculously “broke” and gave charging errors. The one in this deal says “MFI certified” which means they should be OK, if you trust the claim.

Although my ihome cable with a captive adapter on the cable broke off sooner than I expected. But it was on clearance so there’s that.
Ugh, its so tempting at this price but so unknown if it will murder my Nintendo switch if I use it as a charger cable. The point remains though that I need at least one usb c cable, multiple lightning cables, and I can always use another micro usb for my headphones. This ticks all three boxes. I feel dirty.

Note that with a USB-A to USB-C cable like this, and a typical USB charger, the Switch will charge, but very slowly. Some USB-C devices optionally charge at higher voltage for faster charge, but the standard chargers only do 5V charging. The Switch adapter that comes with it can provide higher voltage for fast charging (and providing enough power to support the dock also.) The Switch adapter is non-standard (Nintendo used their own settings) and other fast-charge-type USB-C systems won’t support it. FYI. But still a slow charge (as you’d get with this) is much better than no charge at all.
@ACraigL Had to look at this several times before i finally noticed that this is one cable with 3 adapters. Initially thought it was one cable with 3 separate ends (sort of like a hydra). Already ordered these, so will see how they work out. I have bought similar adapters at the DollarTree for USB-C devices.

Be warned the adapter dongles break very easily when removed/reinserted repeatedly. These aren’t so much 3-in-1 as pick 1of 3 and stick with it. A decent price for a lightning/usb-C cable nonetheless

There are a few locations in our house where we commonly want to plug in via Lightning (wife’s phone, Magic Keyboards/Trackpads), via micro-USB (wireless headphones, fitness trackers, Kindles), and USB-C (my phone, likely future devices) and just having this one cable handy in a few places will be great for $3.
Mine arrived today and it also came with a letter. (see attached image). Apparently, I’ve received the Meh Curse and the only way to counter it is to follow these 3 steps.

Has anyone tried the USB-C tip on an Android phone with any success? They work with our iPhone 11 (lightening) and an Galaxy S7 (microUSB) but not on my Razer Phone 2 (USB-C). I also noticed that on the boxes they only talk about Apple product. What gives?
@toddlamp My USB C works when I connect the USB C to my phone and then the micro USB to the ass end of the USB C to power it? Seems odd I know but I was even able to transfer data so… Works for me.
Mine arrived as well-- almost a full week before the expected date! So far they seem to be pretty good quality. Was able to check out the regular and lightening ends, but no micro-c stuff around to try that out on.
PS I also got the bonus curse, which I am gonna blow off… wish me luck!
I didn’t realize these were just adapters for the usb c and lightning… shouldn’t be a problem unless my kid bends or breaks the micro usb connector as it is necessary for the other two.

@Heffer I had trouble with the USB-C connector on one of mine. It just doesn’t work. The other two adapters on that cable and all 3 adapters on my other 2 cables work fine.
@Heffer You plugged the one (don’t know what it is called - fits into my ancient back-up flip phone) into the back of the C connector? Two of them need that one connector plugged into the back of them to work. Apparently the juice only goes through the one and the other two are just “adaptors” that plug into the one that is “live”.
I got my order a couple of weeks ago and just got around to using it. There’s absolutely no juice going through the cables - I tried multiple USB plugs… “He’s dead, Jim”
@Staceyhy OK so like you I initially thought they were broken. But then I looked at them more closely. The back of two of the connector heads have an opening. One does not. What you have to do is plug the one that does not have an opening into the opening on the back of one that does. Then you should have juice. Whew. Presents saved.

Not sure how I missed that it was actually just a micro USB cable with adapter tips. But I’m not disappointed. USB C charged my phone (screen off) at an average mAh of around 800 compared to around 1300 mAh from my regular cable. It’s definitely less stable but acceptable for occasional use as a backup.

Note that with a USB-A to USB-C cable like this, and a typical USB charger, the Switch will charge, but very slowly. Some USB-C devices optionally charge at higher voltage for faster charge, but the standard chargers only do 5V charging. The Switch adapter that comes with it can provide higher voltage for fast charging (and providing enough power to support the dock also.) The Switch adapter is non-standard (Nintendo used their own settings) and other fast-charge-type USB-C systems won’t support it. FYI. But still a slow charge (as you’d get with this) is much better than no charge at all.

Has anyone tried the USB-C tip on an Android phone with any success? They work with our iPhone 11 (lightening) and an Galaxy S7 (microUSB) but not on my Razer Phone 2 (USB-C). I also noticed that on the boxes they only talk about Apple product. What gives?
@toddlamp My USB C works when I connect the USB C to my phone and then the micro USB to the ass end of the USB C to power it? Seems odd I know but I was even able to transfer data so… Works for me.
Mine arrived as well-- almost a full week before the expected date! So far they seem to be pretty good quality. Was able to check out the regular and lightening ends, but no micro-c stuff around to try that out on.
PS I also got the bonus curse, which I am gonna blow off… wish me luck!

@Heffer I had trouble with the USB-C connector on one of mine. It just doesn’t work. The other two adapters on that cable and all 3 adapters on my other 2 cables work fine.

@Heffer You plugged the one (don’t know what it is called - fits into my ancient back-up flip phone) into the back of the C connector? Two of them need that one connector plugged into the back of them to work. Apparently the juice only goes through the one and the other two are just “adaptors” that plug into the one that is “live”.

@Staceyhy OK so like you I initially thought they were broken. But then I looked at them more closely. The back of two of the connector heads have an opening. One does not. What you have to do is plug the one that does not have an opening into the opening on the back of one that does. Then you should have juice. Whew. Presents saved.

Finally got mine today. With bonus curse. If I just make copies at work and leave them on the printer will that work?Does it start today, or back when I ordered?
Not sure how I missed that it was actually just a micro USB cable with adapter tips. But I’m not disappointed. USB C charged my phone (screen off) at an average mAh of around 800 compared to around 1300 mAh from my regular cable. It’s definitely less stable but acceptable for occasional use as a backup.
Back when we ordered I remember it saying “these may take an extra week or more to get to you”
But did the delivery date change? It now says:
Estimated Delivery
Monday, December 2nd - Monday, December 9th
Maybe it should have said “these may take an extra month or more”
I’m still waiting for mine. One arrived, another order is still out there somewhere.
@Euniceandrich Well…mine were headed for me according to tracking. Then they got diverted for whatever reason. Maybe we should have a pool for who’s going to get their’s last?

@Euniceandrich @RiotDemon Ah, but mine didn’t ship until Nov 16. I usually plan on at least a week before anything from meh arrives at my abode. I’ll shoot for Tuesday to contact. As of Monday it’ll be a month since ordering.
Whew, finally arrived after 32 harrowing, anxiety, drama filled days. That being said…they included a chain letter. For some reason, meh assumes I have seven friends. I’m supposed to forward it to those, or I’ll suffer the meh curse. (You mean stuff will get here even slower??).
I’m gonna show meh, by forwarding it to seven of my enemies. Why would I wanna do that to my friends? I want to keep as many of those as I can.
Finally plugged in to use and zero happened. tried plugging in and wiggling cord etc. Oh well 2 for $3 turns into 1 for $3. Tried the other cord and another zip-nada-zero. Oh well 0 for $3 is my reward for being a reliable stupid customer, I guess.

Still waiting here in mid Michigan. I’d blame it on the wacky weed but that’s only been sold legally here since yesterday. Figure I’ll give it a few more days, at least.
Finally tried my cables. Got three and all three the USB-C is dead! What a joke. Wasted my money here.
@Innate serious question here, did you plug the USB C adapter into the main cable? FYI, most items from meh have a warranty, but you have to actually check the item when you receive it.
