@StevenS757 But it used to be a better steel for the price.
Maybe I am being a steel snob. All the super cheap knives I have picked up lately(most less than $10, like the excellent Kershaw Thistle for $6!) have been Aus8 or 8CR17MoV. Have been moving higher end with many S35VN, a couple Elmax, etc…
I have the Fasthawk. I tried using it to cut down a small bush in my yard. Took about an hour to get through 3.5 inches of wood, and my hand was pretty sore. Bought an electric chainsaw and breezed through four more similarly sized bushes in about 15 seconds combined. Fasthawk would be ok for defending your campsite against an invasion of one unarmed person. For anything else, get a chainsaw, or a gun, or a chainsaw gun.
@WhoCares742 Actually, it matters very much when stabbing. A fixed blade is always better for stabbing. You don’t need to worry about the blade folding in on your fingers.
Um, is Glass-Reinforced Nylon the best material for the handle of something that needs to withstand the force of multiple impacts? Just thought it’s a good question to ax toknife.
@Fen_Star Tomo-: Or tom- before a vowel. A combining form meaning a cut, section, or layer, as might be achieved by cutting or slicing. Used in the formation of compound words such tomography. From the Greek tomos (a cutting).
@Fen_Star I think the little holes are used for measuring servings of sketti. Useful to have in a survival situation. Need to ration food ya know. No waste.
The deal paused after 44 sold? And VT showing a strong buying presence on the map? @Sohmageek, you preppin now? Or, is murder on your mind after those android speaker docks?
I’ve been looking for tomahawk, but don’t need more overpriced knives. The tomahawk is cheaper by itself on Amazon, so you packaged yourself out of a sale here, Meh.
If the Woodhouse picture was edited by one of us, it was likely because it was unsolicited and/or not permissed by Woodhouse.
Also because we are a totalitarian fascist regime that will bend the words of our citizens to meet our utopian internet discourse standards at the drop of a proverbial pin.

I try to avoid adventures that require two knives and an ax.
@norman8 You’ll regret that when the orcs come.
Hatchet job
Omg! Glennnn!!!
@cinoclav It’s just a flesh wound.
@cinoclav
He’ll be back soon enough to terrorize us all again.
@cinoclav @PlacidPenguin @sammydog01 If that’s the penalty for cheesy humor, we are in a lot of trouble!
@cinoclav Freedom!
You can ax Irk any time you want to!
@eeterrific And I’m sure Irk would have something sharp witted to say about it.
@eeterrific @mehcuda67 He’s edgy that way.
@eeterrific @mike808 Maybe it bothers him more than it should.
@mehcuda67 No pun, no star for you!
Once again you made me want something I barely knew existed. Good job writer.
@Targaryen @dave
I found your ideal Meh frequenter.
Oh my God! They killed Glenn!
@hchavers
You bastards!!
Troll’s Butte sure is deadly.
They serve these at Ruth’s Chris!
I see SOG has switched to crap steel for their budget line instead of the not too bad Aus8 they were using for these knives.
I have a Fasthawk. I do not know why.
@ponagathos 7CR17MoV is pretty good steel for the price. https://besurvival.com/tips-and-tricks/7cr17mov-steel-in-budget-survival-knives-what-it-is-and-why-you-should-care

Knifestyle inflation!
Less SOG, more LOG:

@warpedrotors
/image chainsaw gun
now toss in the caffeine gum, the shower curtain and a roll of duct tape and we got a party!
@alacrity
@alacrity a Dexter party?
@alacrity
/wootstalker https://sellout.woot.com/offers/bloody-shower-curtain
Bloody Shower Curtain
Price: $19.99
Condition: Refurbished/Not New
This deal is currently sold out
@warpedrotors boat not included. Shit.
@alacrity Someone get the margarita mix out.
I’ve invested all my money into SnakeCoin.
@Ignorant Snakecoin is a dead end. I cashed in all my Schrutebucks and invested half in Snapecoin and the other half in Dumbledollars.
Not that is really matters when you are stabbing a zombie in the eye with it, but the Field Pup isn’t a folding knife.
@WhoCares742 Actually, it matters very much when stabbing. A fixed blade is always better for stabbing. You don’t need to worry about the blade folding in on your fingers.
Can anyone lend me $49? I promise I’ll pay it back (with interest) a day or so after the package arrives.
Nice a knife? I didn’t know the Field Pup was Italian.
So meh are selling Serial Killer kits now?
Hey. Come here…
…I need to ax you something.
@djslack Just get to the point, already.
Um, is Glass-Reinforced Nylon the best material for the handle of something that needs to withstand the force of multiple impacts? Just thought it’s a good question to ax toknife.
@GeckoD it’s used in plenty of hammers.
I’m holding out for the Benchmade 172 tomahawk myself, but it’s probably impossible to get and damn sure wouldn’t be $49. But a man can dream…
what exactly is the use of a tomohawk?
@Fen_Star
@Fen_Star Tomo-: Or tom- before a vowel. A combining form meaning a cut, section, or layer, as might be achieved by cutting or slicing. Used in the formation of compound words such tomography. From the Greek tomos (a cutting).
Use to cut…
@Fen_Star
@Fen_Star Best use EVER – to make the funniest guest visit in the history of live TV [The throw]
[1]:
@Fen_Star I think the little holes are used for measuring servings of sketti. Useful to have in a survival situation. Need to ration food ya know. No waste.
@Zebra absolutely classic, I still lose it every time Johnny delivers the punchline
@Fen_Star @PhysAssist
Hawk (n) – a flying thing
So it cuts when you throw it!
@djslack @Fen_Star Heh heh heh- that about covers it.
The deal paused after 44 sold? And VT showing a strong buying presence on the map? @Sohmageek, you preppin now? Or, is murder on your mind after those android speaker docks?
Fuck me. That’s what I get for looking early in the morning w/o my glasses. That’s fucking NH. Nevermind, sohma.
stabbety stab, hatchety hatch, stabbety stab
I’ve been looking for tomahawk, but don’t need more overpriced knives. The tomahawk is cheaper by itself on Amazon, so you packaged yourself out of a sale here, Meh.
@rework My thoughts exactly!
The adolescent in me always wants to buy these things.
Luckily, the adult in me always remembers I have no use for them.
@DennisG2014 Have you tried cooking dinner using a small ax? Replacement ice pick?
@DennisG2014 @Targaryen They make a very efficient brush/branch lopper too.
129 and sold out? That hardly seems like a days worth of selling.
@goldnectar wow - now shows 135 sold. Must be a record low for a daily Meh deal - at least for something 50 bucks or less.
@goldnectar @RedOak IOW, we don’t feel like working today.
What, no ten-foot pole?
@woodhouse - why aren’t you in one of the demo photos? I vaguely remember a thread about you and axes…
@Kidsandliz good question
@Kidsandliz @woodhouse
@Kidsandliz @PlacidPenguin @woodhouse Fixed it for you.
@Kidsandliz @Supportathan @woodhouse
His happiness looks so…fictional though.
@PlacidPenguin
@Supportathan hey that is not the photo @PlacidPenguin originally put up of @woodhouse. I hope @PlacidPenguin asked you to fix it…
@Kidsandliz @woodhouse @Supportathan
Everything was settled in the end.
@PlacidPenguin - not a threat because it is a fact?
Hey @Supportathan I didn’t think meh changed out stuff unless the user asked them to or it was spam. Is censorship now part of the forums?
@Kidsandliz
That was me. I didn’t think you’d see the original message, and I didn’t like how it looked.
(Hence no edit message.)
Even @ThomasF has gotten involved in hiding things.
@PlacidPenguin @Supportathan i’m a little ashamed of what i am
@Kidsandliz @PlacidPenguin @Supportathan I edited the post in the AUA thread because it took up a lot of space early on.
Or it could just be that Penguin is a fool.
@Kidsandliz @Supportathan @ThomasF
That last reason makes the most sense.
It was also the explanation I came up with for the edit to the post with the calculations I came up with.
@Supportathan @woodhouse
On the bright side, there are over 7.6 billion of your kind existing on this planet.
http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/
@Kidsandliz @PlacidPenguin @Supportathan Are you so sure about that last reason.
@Kidsandliz @Supportathan @ThomasF
Only a fool would say that they’re not a fool.
Each living species has room for growth, whether physically, mentally, or psychologically.
Just because one is not a court jester, doesn’t mean that there’s no room for mental growth.
@ThomasF I don’t think @placidpenguin is also @f00l thus not a fool
@ThomasF In your
Hmm does this then also mean someone at meh is running for
dictatorpresident any time soon?@f00l @Kidsandliz All f00ls are fools but not all fools are f00l!
