I couple weeks ago I bought a 32" Vizio smart TV at Walmart for $149. And I didn’t have to spend another $25-$35 on a streaming device because the Vizio apps are actually pretty decent.
Sub-$150 32" Tvs are raining from the sky these days. I’m not seeing anything that makes this a deal?
@mfladd just posted pictures of our two miniature schnauzers Nike and Erosstros ( Eros for love and Stros short for Astros thus love Astros ) and Coco my parents sheltie we have while mom is in the hospital and Durant our son and daughter in laws dog we have while they are having their new home built ! They sold their first home and are staying with friends right now so we have their dog until this weekend. Also one picture of some of the 8 cats I feed – four I have gotten their shots and had them fixed and the others are feral and don’t let me touch them but they sure come running to eat each day lol! I did have two three months old kittens but they disappeared within a week of each other three weeks ago and one of them was so sweet and tame and would come running when I called for him. I susoect maybe another Tom cat got them since they were both male kittens . Anyways, this is my current menagerie - we lost of sheltie Shalom in February as we used to have three dogs.
@dunda Hopefully they will be more hilariously broken than last time. Mine was just busted, i want to see someone get their tv with a lawnmower blade in it or something.

I bought 2 x 40" 1080p Emerson TVs for $300 from meh awhile ago. And both those TVs are awesome and still going strong. That was a fucking deal, this deal today is something woot would fucking post… I feel like my brain was just sodomised. The best thing you could do here is just kill today’s deal and fucking say there were technical problems. I’ll be OK, but there are countless others that might never fucking recover. The fucking humanity. I’m out.
So, i looked at the whole 10 sold in the past almost 8 hours, and about jumped out of my seat thinking I’ve missed the first meh-dump-off, because surely those greedy west coasters and early risers would have snapped up all of these before the precious east coast whiners got all of their beauty sleep.
But no, alas, no meh-dump-off, and those greedy west coasters and early risers seem to have left some (slim pickin’s to be sure) for the whiners without need of broken circuits. Bravo! While i know this is just a sub-meh product at a typical woot level price, it feels like a nice little protest against the whole concept.
A 20 inch 720p TV might work OK as a TV if there were no chance you wanted to use it to extend your PC desktop and you really needed cheap. But those go for around a hundred bucks.
The difference between 1080p and 720p is very discernable on a 32. Many people watch 32’s somewhat close up.
And a 1080p 32 can be reasonably used to extend your PC desktop.
Perhaps this TV could work work as a cheap diner, hang over the counter cheap TV.
If this is anything like the 32 inch Sharp Aquos I got 8 years ago (and is still going strong), then this sounds like a good deal. I remember getting a 19 inch G.E. TV back in 2000 and it sucked. Just because they make good light bulbs doesn’t mean their other products are good (G.E. telephones also suck). I have a similar mindset with Westinghouse - which I associate with refrigerators and small alliances. I know nothing about the Seiki brand, but it’s nice that they have 3 HDMI ports (my TV has 2). I use the PS3/4 and the Xbox 360 to run apps so the “smart” feature means nothing to me. As long as the sound and picture quality are good ( I see nothing wrong with 720), then I’m a happy camper.
I’m tempted to buy this for my Mom to replace her 20 inch Samsung (puny audio be damned). However, she likes the Samsung and refused to want another TV when my sister said she would buy one for her (she did get a soundbar,though, which looks silly next to the TV). And there appears to be some backlash over some damaged TV’s from a previous sale. Therefore, not clicking “meh” but not buying either so … mehbe some other time.
SIGHS…after reading the comments, now I know why there were some still left for ME to buy! Well, it’s going up in the ceiling corner of an exercise room. Can’t see without my glasses anyway, so I hope the sound will be good! Didn’t take the time for specifics, thinking MEH wouldn’t put up a woot item for sale! Definitely wish it was a better product. Who knows? Maybe mine will come with a big bullet hole in it too and can be returned! Wish me luck folks!
@lynn0759 I think the negativity isn’t so much that it was an awful deal, but that it wasn’t the great deal that many have usually come to expect from meh either.
You might consider writing into support about your second thoughts. No guarantee that the order could be cancelled, but it’s worth a try.
