After deciding not to gift it for Christmas, I used mine for the first time today. I brewed Peet’s Decaf Major Dickason Blend dark roast ground medium and went for 30 minutes. (This makes an excellent decaf espresso, btw.) The coffee was smooth as silk, but not as strong as I would have liked it to be. I used what the manual said (2/3 cup) and I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to use more for fear of an overflow coffee spray mess. Well worth the $10!
I bought two of these when they were sold in pairs a while back, and gave one to my virtual daughter-in-law. She apparently adores it. I don’t do coffee, so it was a while before I unpacked the other one. I finally got around to trying it for cold-brewing tea recently, and it worked acceptably, but as cold-brewed tea is really not my jam, it’s going to spend a lot of time lurking in the back of a shelf.

I bought this one several months ago for, I think, almost twice the price. Totally worth it, and I use it frequently.
Can we click our heels together and make these finally go away?
This wound up being a great purchase
@ferretferret Does it work well as a French press? I think pulling dual duty would make it an easy buy.
@ferretferret @highonpez It’s technically a cold French press; I haven’t tested the carafe to see how well it handles heat
