Yeah I don’t like a toothbrush that ONLY vibrates! I’ve been using the oral-B electric toothbrush that’s got super power, spins AND vibrates since I was a teenager and I haven’t had a cavity since then! I think it’s doing it’s job! 5’s for sure on Oral-B!
FWIW, I have one of these and I love it. I used the bluetooth phone app that comes with it perhaps once, twice at most, and thought it was a bit hokey so I have never used it again. The app worked fine, so others might find it useful. The glass charger is great (so convenient to just pop the toothbrush in it) but I will say that I never use the glass as a “glass” - I just use it as a charger. The travel case with charger is also nice; other models have cases but they don’t charge. Anyway, just thought I would offer my two cents for anyone thinking of getting one.
@phendrick not a bad idea, can tell a lot about health from poop and too many people don’t look after they do the deed. And no I’m not talking about ridiculous polio and Covid sampling. Billion dollar idea. Everyone wants to track everything these days… ad money is powerful.
Sonicare are the way to go. My dentist gave me one and I haven’t looked back since, even though I had a fancy one from another brand. And the battery issues that these usually have? The key is to only put them on the charger when they complain that they’re low. I’ve had one for over 2 years now and it still has good battery life.
@Knightp I too was introduced to Sonicare by way of a dentist; my wife’s. It was a cheaper version until I purchased a two pack of the Diamonds here on Meh, in April (ish) of 2018, for $159. We’ve used them twice a day (at most) since then and place them back in the glass chargers each time. They’re still functioning like day one. This is why I face my current delima of whether or not to purchase another. The brush heads are expensive. Usually about $40 for a 4 pack on AMZ. However, Side Deal has a great offer on those… right now. I wish I could purchase more than three. I’m tapping my chin…
@Kyeh Yeah, I had been using an OralB and another ultrasound toothbrush and was getting a ton of cavities and fillings breaking, so my dentist gave me a sonicare. Was pretty cool, issues stopped after that.
@barchie Costco carries the replacement heads and has them on the rotation for sales. I don’t remember the price because I’m the only one that uses them, so I only have to get them once a year.
I bought a Waterpik combo from Costco that had them separate, but as 1 unit for power. So you could use the WaterPik before and/or after brushing. Not a Sonicare unit like I thought when initially starting this reply.
Went back to my electric Oral-B for brushing because the vibration felt off on my teeth. May have to give Sonicare a try.
We too have these. And unlike everyone else, I’m here to say that I’ve used the app since day one. Maybe I’m a little kid or something, but it helps me stay on track. The brush even without the app will tell you when to move from one section to another, but I like having the visual cue.
Pretty good deal. Snatched up some of those heads on the side.
This is a very good price for 1, but not the very best price you could get for 2. I’ve gotten the 2-pack from Costco for $200 even but that was always a holiday deal. So… save $85 for 1 now or $180 for 2 in the (possible) future later. If you’re single or need immediate dental hygiene, get this now!
I have older versions of these and have had no problems. So I suppose I don’t need another one.
But wondering if these are still the same charger case with the mini- (not micro) USB port. the thick one. If so, and you use it for travel, it means one more obsolete cord to carry with you. Unless you still have a phone from 2003.
I have an older one that does not have the charging case. I love it. In for one as a backup or for when a kid finds it and steals it from me.

I’m a huge Sonicare fan, and have been for 10+ years, but this model is a no-go. User reviews on multiple sites rap its limited lifespan, pointless features, and the idiotic charging glass. That’s probably why this unit has deep discounts everywhere…
@MrNews I got my first one of these with the “idiotic charging glass” at least 5-7 years ago, from a deal site (possibly this one.) So it’s not like a new idiotic thing, it’s the same old idiotic thing. That said, the unit still works fine with no evidence of battery decline. So I’m not sure why this would have more “limited lifespan” than others, though maybe you have a link to a study comparing different models over several years? Personally I can take or leave the “idiotic glass,” but I don’t mind it. Though I don’t use it for drinking water, you’ve seen the kind of grungy stuff that grows on the bottom of these. (maybe if you always put it back in a sanitized glass and never on the counter or sink, then, maybe…)
@MrNews you could always buy a new one and return the old one in the new box if the battery dies. Just be sure to clean off the crud for the next guy on amazon who will complain about the low charge.
@pmarin I haven’t seen a study, but there are a few foo many reviews claiming the unit just stopped working, broke, or wouldn’t charge, in a time-frame of 2-8 months. Makes me think quality control is lacking on this one. Glad you got lucky.
The idea of a glass in the bathroom (ceramic tile floor) seems counter-intuitive though…
Probably too late in the day for anyone to care, but I bought one of the fancy Sonicare’s from here a few years ago and it died, so I bought the cheap Sonicare (from one of the mediocre sites). The innards of the cheap were about the same as the expensive one. So much so that I used it for replacement parts just to keep the charging - not so much the glass but the charging case which is handy on long trips. In other words, I’m not sure you’re getting much more in the teeth-cleaning department for the extra cost, just jollies, the glass, BT, the app and the case, although you do get extra cleaning options on the handle (white, gum, etc.), that I can pretty much assure you you’ll never use.
Surprised no one has made a vibrator comment/joke.
Anyway, I’ve been very happy with Sonicare, been using a model from Costco for several years, no issues, great clean feeling and no cavities. This brand was suggested by my hygienist. I think this is a good buy for single people or couples that don’t mind sharing the base unit.
Yeah, I got the eye treatment as well. Pretty disappointed as I ordered the replacement heads from side deal that will now be useless to me. What gives?
@ryanmanus Hey there, I’m very sorry about this mix-up.
Our team is currently looking into the issue and working out a solution. We’ll be sending out an email to customers impacted by this issue, so please keep an eye out for that.
@Kidsandliz real. a few years back meh sold quip toothbrushes and it turned into a legal battle and whole thing that ended up with meh sending purchasers a kit that included this coin, a shirt, a tote, a crappy toothbrush that said meh, and a sticker. It was lovely.
@cstamant I knew about the quip epic and that people got a coin. I didn’t realize the coin looked like that - although had I enlarged the photo I would have seen the word toothbrush LOL. Cool looking coin.

If I’m gonna spend that much on my teeth, it better come with laughing gas and a pretty assistant.
@hchavers
@hchavers it better do a lot more than vibrate
@hchavers @mexicantacos
They should call it the Philips Sonicare ToothClean, since it’s for cleaning teeth, not diamonds.
@awk then how would make money from idiot diamond cleaners buying the wrong brush
If we buy this will it come with a meh created Phillips coin?
FWIW, I have one of these and I love it. I used the bluetooth phone app that comes with it perhaps once, twice at most, and thought it was a bit hokey so I have never used it again. @kathyl Could you offer me your
twoninety nine cents toward the purchase?@phendrick I suppose I would only have to offer ninety seven more, but do you really want to hear me babble on about my toothbrush? Because…I can…
@kathyl I thought it was a shot glass. I just lost my mind.
@mexicantacos It would be quite a generous shot glass. Go for it! Just remember to brush your teeth afterward.
I suppose even the toilet brushes or bidets Meh sells next will have a smart(ass) phone app.
@phendrick
EW GROSS! HECK NO TO THE TRACKER!!
@phendrick not a bad idea, can tell a lot about health from poop and too many people don’t look after they do the deed. And no I’m not talking about ridiculous polio and Covid sampling. Billion dollar idea. Everyone wants to track everything these days… ad money is powerful.

@Knightp
Your dentist gave you one? Wow.
@Knightp @Kyeh Getting some Pawnee/Eagleton vibes right now (Parks & Rec).
@Knightp I too was introduced to Sonicare by way of a dentist; my wife’s. It was a cheaper version until I purchased a two pack of the Diamonds here on Meh, in April (ish) of 2018, for $159. @Knightp Impressive!
@Knightp
@shiranissosexy Huh? I never watched that show.
@Knightp @Kyeh
WOW, I’ve been using the oral-B for 30+ years and I haven’t had a single cavity! Go figure! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Knightp @Lynnerizer
That’s impressive, too!
@barchie Costco carries the replacement heads and has them on the rotation for sales. I don’t remember the price because I’m the only one that uses them, so I only have to get them once a year.
Meh posts this on the same day I have a dentist appointment (8 hours for a cleaning).
Would love to see an electric toothbrush that doubles as a flosser/waterpik as flossing appears to be my biggest problem.
@JT954 Good luck!
@JT954 Toothbrush-water flosser combos exist. They tend to get bad reviews, though.
@JT954

@shiranissosexy Looks like Costco will have two for $180 starting on November 25th.
I have older versions of these and have had no problems. So I suppose I don’t need another one.

I love my $35 Sonicare.
$100+ for a toothbrush? It better have female genitals.
Do we really need an app to brush our teeth? What’s next…an app for toilet paper?
If it ain’t 1/2 price, I ain’t biting’! (Ha ha … teeth … biting… teehee teehee bahaha
Does anyone know where this is made?
@wspb guess
I have an older one that does not have the charging case. I love it. In for one as a backup or for when a kid finds it and steals it from me.

@ergomeh I can guarantee you won’t. Mine has the options. I just want full power. Lower power is useful for getting used to it though or kids.
Surprised no one has made a vibrator comment/joke.

@omegamonkey what kind sicko makes a vibrator joke about a toothbrush
@mexicantacos @omegamonkey I’m pretty sure you won’t find any of those pervs around here. We limit it to butt-plug jokes about stress relief toys.

Received the eye masks as well and checked here after sending a request through the site.
Can confirm, just received the eye masks. Was immediately confused when I grabbed the package and it was so small.
Stay tuned for an email update shortly!
Again?
@cstamant So is this real from something or a photoshop?
@Kidsandliz real. a few years back meh sold quip toothbrushes and it turned into a legal battle and whole thing that ended up with meh sending purchasers a kit that included this coin, a shirt, a tote, a crappy toothbrush that said meh, and a sticker. It was lovely.

Will affected users get a tracking number for the new package?
Toothbrush received yesterday. They’re coming!
Got my toothbrush today! Now I can use my eye masks as I’m scrubbing my teeth!
Still toothbrushless in the Mid-Atlantic. Nobody has said anything yet, but I’m sure my breath is starting to get rough. All my teeth feel fuzzy.
Got the toothbrush but no brush heads. Not very useful without those. Help? ( none in the box, not a separate purchase)
