@cf1 It “works” as in “it holds air for a couple weeks and goes where you place it”. I found, though, that an air pillow is very different from a pillow-pillow. I just couldn’t get comfortable with it, it’s “too light” for its size, it doesn’t yield to pressure the way a regular pillow will, and I can’t shake the deep-down nagging neurotic worry that it’s about to pop under pressure. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad air pillow, it’s just a bad pillow.
I guess it’s a bit like a waterbed, the physics are completely different from a regular mattress and some people just can’t get comfortable on them.
@ZPB Thanks for the info. I don’t need one very often but once a year or so I get an extreme flare-up of heartburn and can’t sleep unless propped up. If it pops, that will be an exciting night.
I occasionally suffer from acid reflux, especially at night. So I built a wooden full length/width wedge-shaped spacer to put under the mattress. Seems to help.

As per the last time these were sold (at $12 for 2, even), when inflated they’ve got a base of 24 inches by 25 inches and the tall end rises to 8 inches.
I wish I had gotten this for the cheaper price but I just hope it works…
