@MsELizardBeth Nope. Ours was at the O'Hare Hyatt. Saw snow from the window for several days, and briefly got off the airport shuttle so I could touch it. Snow just doesn't happen at home in South Louisiana.

Super impressive Razer headphones for 360! 5.1 sound and everything! Great for making horror games even scarier. Plus also works with the computer for impressiveness in two different rooms.

So far it's 3/3 Leak Frog inclusion. If that's a thing that absolutely everybody gets then this will be the best Fuku ever.

@MsELizardBeth I do too! I wasn't being sarcastic. Not only are they an iconic early Woot item, they're cute, they're useful, and they could save thousands in home damage by detecting a leak early before it becomes a real problem.

@Starblind I've gotten Leak Frog's from woot and they saved my ass at least 3 times. In my old house I lived in the basement so I had my comics in a closet. There were a few times where it would start flooding and those frogs saved my comics.

@somf69 I agree that what we get for $5 is worth far more and for that I am grateful. I was just commenting that the other fuku had a lot more/better stuff for the run of the mill box. There are some individual items in a few boxes people got that are really cool, just like last time. I am glad they are keeping up that.

Mines pretty meh. But I like the shark cup. I also dreamed last night that I had 3 knives. I received 2 and actually bought one of the Kershaw knives a few weeks back!

@Pony Yeah, the bag is pretty nice. In some ways it's better than the Swiss Gear (something like this: http://goo.gl/12bG9D) that I bought a while back; in some ways it's worse, but when you consider that it's basically a bonus to the flask, what right do I have to bitch? I'm an American; that's all the right I need. It really is a good haul. I'm sorry I was so apathetic at first, meh.
@katylava He's appropriately curious about all things. I can't tell for sure what most intrigued him. Though he's definitely a bag and box cat. We have to keep him from the plastic ones or he'll be rustling in them all damn night.

@sp3ar Sheesh. FedEx went from "Tuesday" to "Package delivered by U.S. Postal Service to addressee" in under a few hours. Suffice to say, I notice this at 11pm, so I'm out side scouring the mailbox and surrounding area for signs of my Fuku box. Yeah, nothing. USPS still says they only have "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" so I suppose I'll just have to hope it arrives Monday (its original anticipated delivery date).

My fuku arrived today. It fit true Meh standards that have been set so far...
Quite the haul! Contents include:
This is where is truly gets Meh....the Galaxy Tab 3 is dead...doesn't charge, doesn't boot up. Still has the refurbished stickers on the back and sides etc. Luckily some quick Google action shows that I am not the first unlucky person to be in this situation:
First I opened the tablet up (use plastic pry tools)
Next I checked the battery....2.84 volts. Applied charger, no change. Disconnected battery for 30 seconds and held down the power button then plugged it in again:
And after 20 minutes it was even better:
And success! The Galaxy Tab 3 is now up and running. I thought for a bit I might have to stop my the Mehquarters at lunch tomorrow and exchange it...of course I wasn't sure what I would get in exchange so I was a bit nervous...
The unfortunate remaining Mehness: Coors light bottle opener...I don't drink at all or endorse Coors as a company so it will go to a neighbor who does both with fervor. I was directed not to open R2D2 and make an ice cube out of him...but I still want to...or maybe even Jello.
Oddley enough the kids were the most excited by the Carrollton air packets, which I could have told them was not better than Little Elm air.

Part of me has a slight inclination that perhaps we were supposed to get the MW3 Headsets in the Fukus, similar to that of the Sony Speaker Docks. However because of the shipping debacle, they sent those instead of the Razer ones which eliminated the supply. Total shot in the dark, however when looking at most of the fuku reveals thus far they seem quite similar in style to the last batch, just missing that "high dollar" item.

I think they sent spouse sets the crappier ones as punishment for buying two in the same household. *Okay, I don't really think that, and I don't mind what we got, but my husband was a little annoyed. @JonT @dave It could be just because it's the weekend, but just wanted to point out that @pflats has another guess on the guessing game where you try to spell a word before a stick figure resembling a person gets hanged by a rope. (Apparently this is some sort of children's game -- a product of a sick mind it appears) At first I thought that @pflats had drawn a severed head next to a pile of dismembered body parts -- going with the twisted nature of this game -- but later considered that it was actually the previously guessed letter E that had been crossed out along with a new guess of 'O'. Not a severed head after all. I don't know if you may have already considered this possibility and are simply taking the weekend away from work like most normal people do. In any case, I patiently await your response as I have a strange sense of responsibility to aid the other mehmbers of this thread in preventing the horrible fate of this clearly harmless and innocent stick person. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this and that's just a cool drawing of a tether ball game. I just don't know anymore.

Just got mine, pretty decent swag for $5. Only thing that disappointed me was that I didn't get any bonus handwritten notes, can't get it all, though!
I am happy to have not received a leakfrog (I bought two years ago & they still work!). Here is what I did get...
Fukubukuro Bag, Spider Creepy Cup, Y Splitter, Genuine Leather Motorcycle Luggage Set ($399 msrp - cough cough) with an rain cover, cardboard puzzle and a white box I had yet to open.... hoping it was a tablet of some type

Opened up the luggage to see if there was anything interesting inside - found more luggage that I didn't open (yet) - don't think anyone at meh did either.
Finally opened the box and found refurb gaming headsets - already being used my my 15 yr old with World of Tanks
The 15 yr old also has claimed the creepy cup for his own. Not sure what I am going to do with the 'luggage' set as I don't currently own a motorcycle (and I don't seem to see all '8' pieces the $399 set was supposed to include).

@ilovereality Since the cardboard puzzle thingy came with no instructions I assembled it in the only way that made sense to me - 3 cubes.
@ilovereality my girlfriend looked up the part # for the cubes and they indeed are 3 cubes assembled the way you did, they are supposed to be drawn on or something of that nature.

I'm going to skip the photo because most of what I got has been pictured. I got a Leak Frog, Tylt Y-split, crocodile cup, & Fuku bag (which I love, BTW; here in the colony of the District of Columbia, years ago we imposed a tax on plastic or paper bags from most stores, so I've used totes for shopping for a long time). And a Maxam Military Commemorative Knife in an aluminum case. I'll keep the bag and give most of these things as holiday presents (I have an adult nephew who will go apeshit over the croc cup).
A question, though, about Leak Frog. I know that these were really popular on Woot & that lots of people reported how well they work. I'll be passing this on, but there are no instructions or info of any kind with it. Do we assume that it's already loaded with batteries? Is there a way to test this thing & make sure it's working? Comments welcome.
I was pissed that I didn't get a shot glass or a flask, and then I remembered that I'm an alcoholic who hasn't had a drink since 1984. Perhaps Meh knows best.

@gertiestn Leak Frogs beep when both of the metal contacts on the bottom of the frog come in direct contact with moisture. It will stop beeping once you dry it off. If that doesn't work, check for batteries. Grats on sobriety!

I got the creepy skull mug (not many other skulls out there), the id America charging cable (in lime green, which seems different), the iPup speaker system (my lady is still using the 30 pin apple products, so yay there), the bag (I hoped it would be there, I missed the second Fukubukuro), and an emergency crank radio. I took a picture, and then realized I have nowhere to post it.
FedEx never updated the size or the weight.

Mine is scheduled to be delivered to the USPS on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Everyone else that received theirs, congratulations. You're making me jealous. At least the site updated with the dimensions and weight but this is all I'll know until (probably) after Thanksgiving.

Husband, son, and I all got ours yesterday. Son brought his over so we could all open them at the same time. Nothing epic here. All 3 the usual stuff everyone else got. Though there was nothing outstanding, everything is useful in one way or another. Most will be given for Xmas. So a few days after some of you had already received your boxes, my fuku finally updated with a tracking number on Friday. That number never updated with any actual info with FedEx though, so out of curiosity, I logged onto my FedEx account to see what was going on.
I have five packages pending with FedEx from Meh. Four of the packages are on the way from Meh. I've only ordered three things this past week, so now I'm dying with curiosity. One of them was sent via Ground service, and the reference number has "Fuku" in it. I am assuming that one is the actual Fuku, but what is that one mystery box? The tracking number doesn't correspond to any of my other orders. I hope it's @Matthew in a box with his Glenn puppet.
It is entirely possible it's nothing, but a girl can dream, right? Cowboys can dream, too.

So for the past week or so I've been checking my tracking number only to find neither FedEx or USPS has any information at all. Well, well... a box mysteriously showed up today. My sig other was nice enough to send me a picture of the label. Clearly, it was my Fuku box (it said 'Fuku' as part of the Dept. descriptor.) With anxiety building, I hurried home after work. (Actually, there was horrendous traffic and I once again was reminded that almost every person in front of me who drives a Prius has no clue what an accelerator pedal is meant for.) There it was, waiting just inside for me! My sweet, sweet Fukubukuro! Grabbing my handy Leatherman Micra I ripped into that baby. To my sheer meh delight, I find absolutely mehness!

An hour later I return to my Fuku in order to remove the items and take the prerequisite picture. As I start up the stairs, I spy one more thing in the bottom of my box. A piece of white paper... My mind kicks into shopping gear and without thinking I automatically assume it's a packing slip. But wait, meh doesn't put packing slips in Fuku boxes! I pick it up and turn it over. Omg! Holy hell! In the name of all things mehvelous, I too have achieved the pinnacle of Fuku mehdiocrity!
Oh, the dreaded anticipation! And to whomever the artist is of this classic, kudos to you. Seriously, battle robots making the announcement? I bow down to you while the wait begins...

@TaRDy All the turn signals were perma-installed on the cars and trucks here in Florida. They blink constantly, and a left blink is a pretty sure indicator the driver will then pull over into the road margin to pass on the right.

@capguncowboy Mine is 21x22x24. Probably bricks. One year at Christmas, I really wanted a Chatty Cathy doll. I rip the wrapping paper off of the box, it's Chatty Cathy! I open the box. It's full of empty Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans. No wonder I have issues. (I got the doll later, my dad used to get really frustrated that I was so good at guessing what was in the box, so he showed me.)

So my three 10 lb boxes arrived this evening (last stop for FedEx today). The wife and I carried them inside and started opening them:
First Box:
29 faux security cameras -- I was actually pretty excited about these. I was contemplating buying them a while back. These retail for about $7.50 each on Amazon
Second box:
31 more faux security cameras I honestly have no idea what to do with these. Even after I gave 2-3 to each of my close friends and family, I'll be hard pressed to get rid of them all. Ebay?
Third Box:
At this point, I was certain it was more faux security camers. Nope.
Revers Osmosis Filtration System - I have been toying with buying one of these for years. I just couldn't get myself to spend the money on it. I guess now I don't have to!
Then, I finally found a note that explained the theme.

UPDATE: So, after closer inspection (I only checked 6-7), all of the cameras are broken from the stand. The good news is that you can mount the stand to the top of the camera as well, so switching it over is simple. I just thought it was funny. I guess these are all of the cameras that didn't pass inspection. I'm overwhelmed with excitement now. I might take a box of them to my local flea market and give them to a vendor I buy from sometimes. He sells all sorts of junk. I bet he'd love these

I got my meh'stery boxes today... Came in three separate boxes...
1x 6-string acoustic guitar with a shattered neck (it was very poorly packaged, so I think it was damaged during shipping, and not on stage by some famous rock star)
1x 4-string electric bass guitar, in pretty decent condition
1x 12-string electro-acoustic guitar, also in decent condition, but missing the battery cover for the built-in amp
2x guitar straps
2x guitar bags (for the acoustics)
3x allen wrenches (sweet!)
1x amp cable
Accompanied by this note (clever bastards):
There are no manufacturer markings on any of the guitars (that I can see), but the 12-string includes a "Made in China" tag with a stamp that reads "Certificate of quality" so you know it's got to be good!
As best I can tell, based on some product codes on the boxes and a sticker on one of the guitars, these are Maxam guitars, and each retails for around $125 (assuming the necks aren't shattered, and all the parts are included), so not a bad haul!
Not a leak frog, iPup, or Kindle Fire tablet, and I have no clue how to play guitar, but definitely worthy of a resounding, "Meh."
@TheEndless Nice haul. Too bad the 6 string is broken -- that's what you want to learn on. I was hoping you at least knew how to pick a little so you could report on the quality of the 12 string. Want to trade for some faux cameras? I know a guy that has a bunch he's trying to offload

@TheEndless I know that when I started playing 20 years ago that tuning a guitar by ear was really difficult.
A broken string is easily fixed though and they're fairly cheap. If you don't know how to change them yourself, most mom and pop music shops will change them for little or nothing if you buy your strings from them.
Once you get your new strings, consider installing a simple tuning app on your phone or tablet. Even after 20 years, I rely on them to make sure I'm on key after my strings have been on for a few hours of play time.
@capguncowboy phone app.. for some reason I didn't even think of that. Great idea! I should check the strings on the broken guitar to see if any of those would work to replace the one she broke on the 12-string.

I would really like to know the combination code for the locked suitcase. When I shake it around, it definitely feels like there's something moving around inside it. However, I have absolutely no clue what it is. I can't see any special little pieces of paper with codes on them or anything. Or, maybe there's actually no code and I just need to set it first? But that doesn't make much sense. And I don't know how to do that anyway.

@Dankk Do you have any info on the suitcase. Brand, style, etc? That will help in finding a way to open it. Also do you think it could just be packing materials in it? Or does it feel heavier than some cardboard/Styrofoam?
@remo28 Right now I'm actually trying to unlock the front panel with a small key that came with the case (oops, should have tried that earlier). Am having a hard time with it though. Give me a little bit. And yeah, it's light enough that the insides may very well be shipping material. Absolutely zero brand name or model numbers by the way; no tags, no stickers, no nothing.

The Bon Jovi/Richie Sambora documentary (When We Were Beautiful) seems to be 75 minutes (or 80 minutes?) depending on who you ask, but the IMDB page does not specifically state the runtime (which is odd because the riddle specifically references IMDB). Also, I'm guessing there's only 1 drinky bird, right? and the last number is $5 (for a fuku)?

@Dankk Argh. I'm also working on the right latch (last three digits). According to Wikipedia and Google, the Bon Jovi documentary is 75 minutes. Although IMDB doesn't say 75 minutes directly, Google is apparently pulling 75 minutes from IMDB. So the right-hand combination should be 755. But it just doesn't work, same as the left-hand side which should be obvious but apparently isn't. I feel like I'm missing something here.
@Dankk Try 746. Be sure you try those combinations on both latches. It would be just like them to give the instructions backwards.
@capguncowboy I've tried 746, many times, on both sides. Same goes with 755 - both sides. Still no dice. I jiggle the number dials to see if they're slightly mis-aligned or something, and try again, but still nothing. And even then I keep trying. (You know what they say about insanity...)

@lisaviolet 805 doesn't work. @capguncowboy I actually just tried this, doing it the "fast" way by using a strong rubber band to hold the slider to the right while rolling through the numbers. Started from 700 and went up, but oddly enough didn't manage to unlatch it. Really don't want to have to do every single # starting from 000 but it's beginning to look like I might have to.
@Dankk the mechanism is probably designed so the lever has to be pulled AFTER the combination is put in meaning that holding it over during the process won't trigger the tumblers correctly.

@Dankk The speaker dock was sold on July 11th. Was there a dock sold on July 10th? I guess that would make sense -- I do remember there being two docks in a row in the beginning, but I've slept since then. I do know we had one for certain on the first few Fridays. EDIT: I just checked, and there was certainly a dock sold on the 11th. I remembered the "Fuck speaker docks" write-up. Can't find the tenth though. You used to be able to click on the Meh faces and see what was sold that day. The month selection is gone now though. Maybe they meant it was 11pm Central time on July 10th? Oh well.
@Dankk If I recall correctly, Meh launched on July 10th, right? They had a Roomba on the first day, because I won one in the day zero contest. Then the speaker dock was on the following day. I know it doesn't matter now, but that really made a difference in figuring this thing out.
@Dankk IT takes about 15 minutes to run though every combination on a 3 number lock (don't even ask how I know that, repeatedly - lets just say parents can imagine various scenarios). Start with 000, then 001, 002 and just work your way up. Once you get one, the odds are the other side is the same. If not, rinse and repeat.
In my defense, the first speaker dock came out on the 10th at 11pm central (at least that's my excuse), and yeah I totally forgot about the Korean badge. I was too focused on my poetry. See if @JonT gets me to write clues ever again...

This box was a real rollercoaster. Was excited to see it was quite embiggened compared to what I was expecting, however upon picking it up there were discouraging "shattered glass" sounds....Further investigation yielded:
Upon further inspection, the Dublin Crystal vase was completely shattered.
Shattered, along with my dreams. Assuming this was a shipping accident and not some sort of twisted attempt at severing tendons in my hands while I opened the box.
@slappywhite2001 Oh, man, that's scary. I'm sorry it was broken, the picture on the box looks like a nice vase. Great on the science kit and dart gun (we've got a couple of dozen rescued kitty cats, I wish I had a boatload of those dartguns).
@lisaviolet I wouldn't shoot the cats with them, just shoot for them to chase (presuming that was what you meant). Those dart guns hurt when they are shot at close range… Gave mine to one of the kids in the house I am staying in (he had seen it and begged and pleaded so my niece didn't get it for finals week) and he shot me in the leg from about 4 or 5 feet away - surprisingly it stung. The plastic is hard and the foam doesn't completely protect you from that.

@SSteve The helicopter charges off of a wall adapter. You might be able to find one on Amazon or Ebay. That chopper is loads of fun, but I highly recommend finding a room with high ceilings and wide open space. It hurts to get hit with those rotors

So, my second box is supposed to show up today. Fedex drops it off, rings the doorbell and runs. I quickly throw open the door. What the hell? Two packages. Not my name. Not my address. Not even my street. I come inside, call Fedex, maybe they can get the driver back. I'm outside trying to find the right tracking number when I see the Fedex truck pull up across the street. I tell the CSR on the phone that he's back, nevermind. I take the packages out to him and said "where's mine?" and one of the guys gets the box out and runs it to the front door.
It weighs more than ten pounds. I drag it inside. Take some pictures of the cats checking it out. Slice it open. Start pulling out bags and bags of Meh'r. First thing I see is a paper with "'Murica F Yeah!" printed on it. I look deeper into the box.
Little American flags. I counted them. There are exactly one hundred little American flags. Oh, look, a flagpole kit. And a camouflage fanny pack. And hunting knives. Maxam. Fifteen pieces. I keep digging. Cute - a little pig! Used. Need batteries. Battery connections broken. A beat to crap metal case. Broken pieces inside. At the bottom of the box, a bullet. I take it out, hold it in my hand. It's heavy. WTF? Totally inappropriate for someone like me who isn't anti-gun, but anti-idiots with guns. A category I would most likely fall into. I take a closer look. Oh, how adorable! They aren't bullets after all, but little knives! Two boxes of them, with a few missing. Forty seven bullet knives in total!
But wait, there's more!
An XL leather biker vest. And.....a 4X leather biker jacket. It's frikking HUGE.
Like I said, I took pictures, I'll post them later. I have a date with the shower and an advanced screening of the movie Wild tonight.

@heartny log onto FedEx's website and check the packages designated to your address in your name. There might be something on it's way to you you using a different taking number than what's on your order.
@capguncowboy Meh confirmed that their system shows shipping complete for my tracking number, but that number doesn’t show any movement in SmartPost or USPS. It's being researched. Hopefully they'll find a little something the warehouse to send to me as a consolation fuku.

Some folks that didn't even order were sent a box, others have gotten second shipments. Nothing got shipped against the tracking number they provided to me. When I inquired a few days ago, I was told I just needed to wait and see what happens. Seriously?

@SSteve That is pretty cool. How close were you to the cheetah? I once held a 6 week old lion cub for about an hour who fell asleep in my arms. He was about the size of my cats but with a really big head. When I went home my cats went nuts with its smell on me.

It's not just about the suspension, but handling dynamics are affected which can create a hazard for the rider, passenger, and others on the road. Not to mention the simple concern for his health.
@Cinoclav If he rode a Kawasaki 100 or one of those little Honda Rebels, he'd look like a donut on a pencil. Yes, he puts his big ass self on the biggest of big ass Harleys. 98 lb weaklings need not ride a man-sized bike.
@SSteve I hand coded most of that. Loved every minute of it. When I first got on the interwebs and saw an a word posted in italic, I was wowed. Took me a couple of hours to understand what the kid was telling how to do it. laughing Now my photo gallery is Piwigo and I use Expression Engine for my weblog. Don't even do minimal maintenance on the rest. Oh, and about the cheetah...how cool is that? Ever heard of Joan Embery? And her place Pillsbury Ranch? It's not that far from my house and I had a BIL who worked with her and took me over there one day to meet some of her critters. It was really fun. She's a really nice lady.

@Pamtha Even the biggest of bikes tend to max out at around 400 lbs allowed for rider and passenger. From what I could find, a Rebel weight limit is 326 lbs. Just food for thought. Safe riding to him!
I forgot to mention what I got in my Fukubukuro...it was just the normal stuff...a creature mug, crossLink charging cable, MW3 headset (sweet!), AND a used (with plenty of finger prints) ceramic coffee mug!
