@Enigma There is a lag. Don’t know when you posted the message above this one, but I have an email time stamped 11:32am central. I am posting this 5:37am central (and I can blame the cats for even being awake at this hour) so see what your email time stamp is. Also sometimes things go wrong. Once I, without doing anything, stopped receiving any emails from meh. I went to settings and it said I was signed up for emails. I undid that and redid that. No change. Wrote support. They fixed the problems.
@Kidsandliz oh, I posted immediately after you did (I’d been manually refreshing the page). It’s showing 12:22am CST. I’d say that was pretty close. Probably a 10 minute difference.
As for your 5:37am post, yes that way off. I checked for me emails this morning around 10am CST and nothing was there. Not even your replies to my post last night. The time stamp on the email shows 5:50am. I nodded off writing this post so it’s 2:19 am/ Oct 10th I’m hitting submit now. I’m nothing off so I’ll check my profile later today when I wake. @Enigma@RiotDemon PS actually as a moderator it would make sense you get to see more than us. At times you will need to know when people flag you and we don’t (although we can choose to be notified via email). This way you can just log in and look in your profile and won’t have to keep going back and forth from email to meh forums picking through your email to see all the meh messages. Not to mention you can still see if people flag you without cluttering up your email if you so desire as likely you get far more tags than non-moderators (well outside of maybe a couple of people).

As a VMP I use it on the other companion sites as we still have a discount on morning save, sometimes items that get cycled here end up being cheaper there as theyre offered for the same price or the discount ends up lowering the asking price enough to warrant a savings.
Just want to point out using the VMP code for free pasta also got you a coupon for $10 for Meh and each sister site. That’s a bunch of cash right there.

It may be that those particular employees: don’t know what the plan is going forward, talks (if there are any) are still underway, nothing is formalized, whatever is (or is not) being talked about isn’t ready to be released to the public yet, they don’t have clearance to release something… Typically (the few times it has happened that I recall) there is some sort of semi formal announcement about what it up with VMP on it’s own thread.

however employees are/should be held to a different behavioral standard with interactions in the context of their job and on work related forums. Professionalism, even if the other person is being a total jerk, is one common expectation in the work place. Dealing with people behaving that way isn’t fun, but it is part of the job. Learning how to both deal with it appropriately and also learning how not to let others push your buttons is a useful skill; one that is helpful both on and off the job (off the job with parenting on occasion just for instance ).

No one is forcing him to behave like that. It is a character statement about someone who trolls others, mocks them, name calls them, bullies them… And we have a handful of people on this forum who do exactly that to select others, some of whom answer a number of people’s comments in inappropriate ways that would violate forum rules, others who only pick on a few. It is an issue not just in the political threads or when politics is dragged into the non-political ones.
And of course in the pandemic, when sales are likely down (and thus the lots of left over stuff we see here over and over from their other venues), meh may not have the resources to have someone have policing this kind of behavior as part of their job description. And moderators are volunteers and they have a life outside of the forums that they need to attend do and may or may not have the time on any given day. Forums though generally aren’t self policing with this kind of behavior - which is unfortunate. It generally takes forum owner intervention.

As a VMP I use it on the other companion sites as we still have a discount on morning save, sometimes items that get cycled here end up being cheaper there as theyre offered for the same price or the discount ends up lowering the asking price enough to warrant a savings.

It may be that those particular employees: don’t know what the plan is going forward, talks (if there are any) are still underway, nothing is formalized, whatever is (or is not) being talked about isn’t ready to be released to the public yet, they don’t have clearance to release something… Typically (the few times it has happened that I recall) there is some sort of semi formal announcement about what it up with VMP on it’s own thread.

however employees are/should be held to a different behavioral standard with interactions in the context of their job and on work related forums. Professionalism, even if the other person is being a total jerk, is one common expectation in the work place. Dealing with people behaving that way isn’t fun, but it is part of the job. Learning how to both deal with it appropriately and also learning how not to let others push your buttons is a useful skill; one that is helpful both on and off the job (off the job with parenting on occasion just for instance

@Felton10 @sammydog01 Actually @onlyonetruth can stop being abusive if he wants to. His behavior with respect to stopping shouldn’t depend on what someone else does first. No one is forcing him to behave like that. It is a character statement about someone who trolls others, mocks them, name calls them, bullies them… And we have a handful of people on this forum who do exactly that to select others, some of whom answer a number of people’s comments in inappropriate ways that would violate forum rules, others who only pick on a few. It is an issue not just in the political threads or when politics is dragged into the non-political ones.
And of course in the pandemic, when sales are likely down (and thus the lots of left over stuff we see here over and over from their other venues), meh may not have the resources to have someone have policing this kind of behavior as part of their job description. And moderators are volunteers and they have a life outside of the forums that they need to attend do and may or may not have the time on any given day. Forums though generally aren’t self policing with this kind of behavior - which is unfortunate. It generally takes forum owner intervention.

I’d come to Meh and enjoy a nice change of pace over a warm cup of tea. I was a 99% lurker here, but I got Meh, and I enjoyed it.
You, on the other hand, have spewed all kind of mindless hate here. If your political posts were strictly aimed at politicians, and done in constructive ways (as others here seem to be able to do), then I would have just considered you as part of the background noise. I didn’t agree with a lot of the political leanings, but to each their own. But you made it all about hate. You had a few comrades, but it was by far you who blindly hurled venom, wished disease and death upon everyone who you disagreed with, and used Meh as a sounding board for your rank insanity.
So because you decided to turn Meh’s forum into Mother Jones or the Huffington Post’s mean girls club, I decided to call you out on it. This is now where I spend my time politicking, as a public service, if you will. You want to be a complete, unmitigated jackass? OK - I will call you out on it every step of the way. Or else take it back to Huffpo or Atlantic or whatever. They’re all nutso wackjobs over there, and you’ll be very comfortable among them. I promise not to follow you there.

Just so we’re all clear on who/what we’re dealing with here, someone tried over and over and over again last night to hack this account (I have dozens of password reset notifications in my email). There are a very finite number of people who know about this account, and even fewer who give a damn about it. There’s no monetary value in hacking it.
Why, I wonder, would someone be so intent on trying to access my current Meh account? Is everyone here playing with a full deck?? That’s rhetorical - no need to answer.
@onlyonetruth Not sure why you are tagging me but I’d suggest contacting support. I’d imagine they have a record of the attempts and likely the IP address used to make those attempts. I’d guess they can then use that to match it against others who have logged on to meh.
@Kidsandliz You tagged me into this conversation earlier. I just replied to everyone who was part of it. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll see if support wants to look into it.
