@PooltoyWolf Oh, I expanded the header and it says “I was today years old when I found out there was a bear in the Toblerone logo.” So today I learned BOTH things, hah!
@mike808 you kidding? My Dad wouldn’t ever have anything more than AM radio…and wouldn’t have radio if it wasn’t standard LOL. He only ever bought stripped down trucks -
@allergycheryl@DrWorm@mike808 My first car (a 1969 model) had a combo AM radio and 8 track, only the drive on the 8 track player didn’t work. I found an FM tuner add-on that plugged into the 8 track slot (no, really!). So I was cruisin’ to the sounds of KINK FM102 in Portland.
@allergycheryl@mike808 Aw, my 1st car was a 78 Valiant, with bench front seats and an aftermarket 8 track player, and Ohio Players was the shxt, booming out. Only rock was ZZ Top tho. Was used when i got it, drove 10 years, it finally gave up the ghost in 94 or so.
My first car was a 1969 Datsun 1200 - had an 8 track installed under the dash - moved it to the 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger and jammed to Black Sabbath - for reference, remember I didn’t learn to drive until 1978…so you can imagine the condition of these cars when I first got them
@allergycheryl I think those cars would run forever if you had enough duct tape to hold them together. My recollection is that they rusted out at the first raindrop.
@allergycheryl@ergomeh Toyota Tercels had that same issue (needing duct tape). I had one (the wagon 4 wheel drive version - that was such a nice car!) that a relative owned that failed inspection due to rust. So living in a state with no inspection I bought it. The rust along the bottom of the doors flapped. Had I been in an accident I am sure all that would have been left was a pile of rust dust. The 4WD though bailed my rear more than once when there was a lot of snow that the city took about 3 days to plow on the side street I lived on at the time.
Hey, cool! I didn’t know that either. Thanks for sharing.
@gogrrl Glad to be of help, haha
That IS interesting! Did you just find out by accident? (And I wonder why the header image is Toblerone?)
@Kyeh Totally by accident! And I have no idea on the banner lol.

@Kyeh Hahahaha that’s neat XD
@Kyeh @PooltoyWolf never saw the bear, duh!
And PC. The map/county thing dates from Woot, and continues on Meh.
But I was today years old when I learned about the bear. But why bear?
@blaineg Ah, a bear is on the Bern coat of arms.

@allergycheryl With a bench seat and a 8-track choice of Ohio Players “Roller Coaster” or ELO “Mr Blue Sky”.

@allergycheryl @mike808 My first car only had AM radio, and I installed an under-dash FM adapter.

@allergycheryl @mike808 Aaaah Mr. Blue Sky is one of my all-time favorite songs!
@PooltoyWolf I like it too
- it sounds like the early Beatles.

@allergycheryl I thought you said you learned to drive today!

I learned it by accident too. Now I always look to see where else in Arkansas people are buying.
I discovered that you can rearrange the people squares on Zoom by dragging them. Mind blown.
Seems like I learn something most days. That’s what motivates me to get out of bed!
Yesterday I learned that there is a no foam, clear Gorilla glue
@chienfou Don’t use it on your hair.
