@mrchristian yeah, I definitely would have been a Kickstarter if I could. I didn’t know it was coming!
I was a fan of woot in the old days before it got too big and the deals became less of a deal and more of a “oh crap, we have to find something to sell on 10 different sites now”.
Joined as soon as I found out about it in September 2014. I saw something in the comments at the woot during a woot-off. Same deal here on Kickstarter, I would have joined in on it if I had known about it.
Yep, mine lapsed somewhere between 2016-2017 and I didn’t notice, for stupid credit card reasons. I never thought to email support about it, though, so I’ve just been a “Member” since then. Only ever got the VMP-exclusive shirt, didn’t even get the socks
Been in since the Kickstarter. Gave up my VMP at one point but got back in before they stopped it. It’s one of the few “extras” I kept when my job (and my husband’s) went “wiggly” last year.
I would have said my favorite thing so far was Schrodinger’s Toothbrush, but that was recently surpassed by Pastadrop. …and the reasons for both are why I was a double black-box Wooter in the pre-Amazon days.
I started as a Woot customer. My brother spotted the launch of Meh and I joined the day he told me, July 9, 2014; I didn’t see the Kickstarter. I am not sure of the exact date of launch of Meh, but Wikipedia says it was July, 2014, so I say I was here from the beginning, although there are those who would argue and I will not dispute them!

I was popping in around Early 2014 and made my first purchase (and became a VMP a few months later). According to my email, my first purchased was a wireless access point/router
I’ve purchased quite a few things over the years, but dropped my VMP status about 2 or 3 years ago because I wasn’t buying enough to justify it.
ummmm I’m not sure. I was a woot customer and eventually figured out you moved over to the Meh site after Amazon took over woot. My first purchase was a case of band-aids. It was so cheap and practical (perfect for me!) I have 3 kids who of course use them as stickers. I only wish I was able to buy more at the time
Started out at woot, by the time meh had come along I’d already given up on woot and their 500 deal of the “days”. Can’t remember how I found out about it but came as soon as I could. (July 2014)
December 2014. No Kickstarter badge for me, but I joined as soon as I found out Meh existed. I don’t remember how I found out about it, though. December 2014 was a really long time ago.
Was a wooter. Got word of the KS for meh, and have been a VMP since it was an option. Well, if you ignore the short couple of days when my CC - which was changed due to a fraud alert - had me drop briefly until I noticed and whined to the support folk. Sounds like that has been common in the VMP crowd.
Since July 15th, 2014 although I had visited the site 4 or 5 times shortly before that before I joined. I came by way of the then finished kickstarter page that I got to by way of a business article about snapster/woot/meh that I found while looking for a new company to use as an example that might interest the students in the class I was teaching (and yes many of them joined).
Was in on woot. Remember being so angry because I never got anything good due to never staying up til midnight. Bought maybe 2 things there, 3 things here, this is maybe my third forum post, and I’m mostly onboard for the lurker lulz.
Wait while I’m here, a question: Daily e-mails from Meh have about 1000 different places you can click to just go to Meh.com - are there statistics being kept on what bits are being clicked?
@chienfou community rated plans give a better deal when you are much older than the age attained or ages signed into a plan with respect to premiums for gap. Drug plans you can change each year in the annual November sign up. Choose well because after your 3 mo post birthday the only way you can change plans is if you pass medical underwriting. More later. At animal shelter doing gross laundry (volunteer).
13-Sep-2013 by profile date. Kickstarter (obviously!) I did visit Meh on day 0 but didn’t click the meh button so cursed myself to subsequent misses not mattering. Meh.
Also VMP since the beginning, I think.
But I enjoy the site and the games, though I am still gob-struck by the existence and presence of people who actually do not like the sublime combination of orange and chocolate…
Been here since the beginning. Love this place. Been a part of lots of different shenanigans. My favorite was probably the scapegoat Fuku. @JonT and I engaged in at least a year long rivalry so I could get that bad boy! I still have my scapegoat trophy sitting on my desk at work. Always a great conversation piece and a way to get more people to join the Mediocre family!
The stupid Quip lawsuit and IRK resulting from the fiasco is definitely my favorite meh moment. What was the dispositionof that litigation? Anybody know?
September 10, 2013. I think I was following Snapster on Twitter and he posted about it. Also Kickstarter. And VMP. Jumped in right away because I learned my lesson on Woot, missing the start date by a few months, 12/20/04.
I was not in the Kickstarter, but it must have been near the beginning. Probably showed up in some RSS feed soon after the site was up and running. I’m a real sucker for ambivalence.
July 10th, 2014, so my Meh-nniversary is coming up soon.
I really liked the Meh Theme Song by They Might Be Giants, and subsequently enjoyed the stupid watching videos. I’ve always wanted to throw a “Mandatory Fun” party, and the staff watching Irk watching the new theme seems about as close as I’ve ever come to realizing the dream.
Have been here since the beginning too. Even rocking my vintage Meh! shirt with the Kickstarter “K” today in honor of the birthday (and in acknowledgment that of my general malaise)
My favorite memory…a rambling monthly GOAT post about executive washrooms that attempted to be snarky but missed the mark completely.
today is my six year anniversary. i suppose my fondest memory is the first year birthday gifts. it was fun looking at the crap we all sent. i was just reliving it… by reading this old thread
I think meh was a few months old when I discovered it’s existence.
It has been a truly mediocre journey.
I was a couple months late to the party. My lack of kickstarter badge haunts me to this day.

@ManBehindPlan Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re trying to buy. Make sure you’re posting in today’s deal topic.
July 23, 2014. Is that considered the beginning at this point?
July 29th, 2014. Would have been in on the Kickstarter if I had known about it.
July 3, 2014 but for some reason I didn’t know about the Kickstarter and missed the true beginning.
Nov 2014,
7/9/14. hey, that’s a long time ago isn’t it. I wonder how much of my time I’ve wasted on this site… WOW! that’s a lotta wasted time!

@mebisping This is my story exactly. Joined that September, was saddened to learn of the kickstarter of which I was completely oblivious.

@Faulkin same, i lost my cc, so we froze it…unfortunately it was at the same time as my renewal.

@f00l Of course.

I missed the launch by a few months. Found you guys because of a salad kit and stayed because of Twisted Lisa.
Got in on the Kickstarter.
7/11/2014 Didn’t even know about woot before that. (sorry, not sorry)
SInce forever (9-11-2013 according to my profile). Got in with the kickstarter, shirts, socks, gift bag, all that stuff.

Here since 10/15. old woot fan who lost faith after the breakfast octopus fiasco.
(Mehbe) Interesting fact. I share a 'birthday’with meh…
@chienfou Well then happy birthday tomorrow!!
@Kidsandliz
Thanks. Time to research my medicare options

As soon as I found out about Meh: December 9th, 2014.
My favorite Meh purchase by far has been the Vestia wine savers I got back in 2018. I am still using them and wish I had bought more.
Since the beginning, VMP since 11/15. Wooter from when it was good. Have probably bought more meh shirts than actual products!
@steveml ME TOO!!! So many meh shirts…
A few days late from the start, but pretty close with July 14, 2014

Second place has to be Mediocrebot being an asshole.
At least 15 or 16 years now. Who can remember.
Best thing was Irk’s Adventure.
Signed up before it began (May 2014), then forgot about it, and became a customer (1st purchase) in Feb 2015
Been here since 2015 and have snagged 7 Fukos and 7 IRKs
Since day zero, VMP still & kickstarter backer too.
…and I still wont get an IRK today.
But I will say one time a Frieght Truck showed up at my house and dropped off 200 pair of Trip Glasses. But that was a long, long time ago.
@somf69 I got the same thing! Years ago, still have a few boxes laying around!
@somf69 I got a giant gumball machine.
Had my VMP membership for four years at least. Realized today that Meh shares my birthday! I’m a little older though …

May 4th, 2016, so I’ve been around for most of it, but my favorite was running the fantasy football league last year. It was fun.
@zinimusprime
@sammydog01 oh that and my light hearted back and forth with @tinamarie1974 on the Stanley Cup finals.
@sammydog01 @zinimusprime that was fun, regardless of who won (really)!!!
Such a different world we live in one year later
Hold my beer, too.
I’m also a Kickstarter, but a friend of mine is borrowing my K.
