Fans, pool float and comforters at a reasonable time of year and now food products where the best before date is after the estimated delivery date. I just have no idea what’s going on any more…
This is such good ramen! I still have quite a bit of the curry from last time to go through, but I’m tempted. I’ll have to check out what some of the new to here flavors are.
I will say I got the habanero lime at a local store and it is okay but not as appealing as any of the varieties I’ve gotten here before. It’s still better than regular grocery store ramen but the bottom of my Buldak list. I have one pack left out of the five pack I got in December.
Big Buldak fan here. Not sure I can purchase any more of the curry ramen, as I still have more than a dozen left from a prior sale. But they’re delicious. I’m tempted. As far as instant ramen goes, this stuff is high up there.
Meanwhile, thanks Meh for making your “Which items are you buying?” wheel pretty much unintelligible.
They sure look tasty, but being able to read the ingredients before I buy food is a must. This is kinda more important than simply knowing how many calories are in the stuff.
@Xtoff Either you always read ingredients before you buy food and hence you already know from past ingredient-reading that instant ramen noodles are always going to be a generous handful of carbs, gluten, and saturated fat, a full day’s supply of sodium, and produced in a factory that processes soy, wheat, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, peatree nuts, shellnuts, and soy-fed milk-shelled wheatfish nut eggs; or you never read ingredients and you’re just looking for something to whine about online while your morning coffee brews. In neither case would a hi-res WebP of the nutrition label impact the ultimate likelihood of you buying these.
@breeze23@Xtoff@ZPB I’m still trying to find the perfect combo of instant ramen and gas station boner pills to get the mythical reading of 420 over 69.
@ZPB I usually add a bunch of healthy stuff to these. I’m basically looking to see if they contain seed oils, as I have a disease where seed oils will put me in pain within minutes. I see that the ingredients were added to the product page, which I’m very grateful for.
I was just looking for more of the ramen Curry spicy chicken, and was going to pay full price for it. I’m glad I waited! I absolutely love curry xhicken last time, and I’m going to try another flavor this time too. The spicy chicken curry ramen is a bit hot, but I put some Thai sauce in it to cool it off a little. Fry up a couple eggs throw it on top and you have a good meal.
@PooltoyWolf I think the bolgoki one might not be. The site that @highonpez posted above shows ingredients and has a bunch of the flavors listed. Also maybe the veggie soup ones.
The curry ones are really good, but you have to do the stir fry step at the end which means you need a stovetop to make it. They aren’t as good if you just have hot water or a microwave.
@jandrese throw in a few ritz crackers and a pinch of imagination after the noodles are done with their boiling water soak and it’s basically the same as frying on the stovetop, but way less dishes to deal with.
Is there anything special about the “snack” ramen, because based on ingredients and instructions it looks just like any other cheap ramen that you can smash up and sprinkle the soup base on before eating dry (which I’ve been doing for decades without ever eating officially “snackified” ramen)
@troy I know, but feeling like I don’t want any (or the other chemistry-set-contents) in my mouth or esophagus. It’s “foods” like this that are helping drive an alarming increase in gastrointestinal disorders in nearly all first-world nations. Convenient? Yes. Good for you? Ummm, no.
Meh included a link to the specs on the main page. All ingredients, etc. are at the link between the photo and the price.
And I believe the ones that say “chicken” are also vegetarian. There’s a lot of “artificial chicken flavor” in the ingredients, which Reddit researchers confirmed has no actual chicken in it.
@clarion47@TimW@troy Based on experience, I’d say that these have a very good chance of being undiminished in quality for at least six months past the best-before date.
Talked to my daughter and ended up ordering four flavors neither of us have had. Given how good the Spicy Chicken Curry flavor we’ve gotten here before, I figure (hope) this won’t be horrible…
In for 2 curry 40-packs and sent the link around to family looking for birthday gift ideas. 4 of my last 6 Meh orders have been Buldak and I’m okay with that.
I myself got to the site early enough that night to order the Gomtang and Bulgogi flavors, along with another.
2 weeks later, without checking to see if I wanted to cancel the membership and order, or to continue with a partial order, Meh suddenly advised it cancelled the Gomtang and Bulgogi portions of the order, and refunded those portions’ amounts.
Hopefully, these flavors will return before this membership cycle ends…
@bartsimpson Oh no! That’s sad. Had you tried them before? I hadn’t. I thought about getting the Bulgogi but decided one pack was enough for now. I hope they bring them back too.
Just tried my Lime and Habanero. Super-hot. Like really really spicy, but also delicious. The texture of the noodles is really spot on. Very happy with this!
@dave My wife will literally kill me if any more boxes of Buldak show up before I work my way through the ones we already have. Still waffling about whether to chance it for this deal.

Y’know Meh… With all this ramen you seem to have lying around, you could maybe do a “son-of-pasta-drop” kinda thing…
No sampler pack, no buy.
Fans, pool float and comforters at a reasonable time of year and now food products where the best before date is after the estimated delivery date. I just have no idea what’s going on any more…
@ergomeh Meh done gone upscale…!
@ergomeh They’re gonna have to change the name from Meh to Okay.
@ergomeh @uscpsycho As long as they never improve to Not Bad or worse Pretty Good.
@ergomeh @uscpsycho @yakkoTDI I wonder if “adequate.com” has been taken yet…
@ergomeh @uscpsycho @yakkoTDI Apparently it has. The site it opens isn’t particularly good, but it’ll do…
Am I just missing the nutrition panel, for salt content?
@rjquillin it’s instant ramen. If you have to ask it’s too much sodium. I’m sure they are mostly MSG and salt.
This is such good ramen! I still have quite a bit of the curry from last time to go through, but I’m tempted. I’ll have to check out what some of the new to here flavors are.

That pie chart reminds me of the sheet music for Faerie Aire And Death Waltz.

@Xtoff @ZPB generous handful of sodium too, yikes
@Xtoff do you not see the links to the ingredient lists?
@breeze23 @Xtoff yep, a full day’s supply, like I said. No better way to get those blood pressure numbers into the 4 digits where they belong.
@breeze23 @Xtoff @ZPB I’m still trying to find the perfect combo of instant ramen and gas station boner pills to get the mythical reading of 420 over 69.
@ZPB I usually add a bunch of healthy stuff to these. I’m basically looking to see if they contain seed oils, as I have a disease where seed oils will put me in pain within minutes. I see that the ingredients were added to the product page, which I’m very grateful for.
@ekw The ingredients weren’t initially listed, but they are now.
@Xtoff @ekw we added the ingredient links a little late in the game – our apologies for not having these up at launch!
@Xtoff I’ve discovered that the more I read what I ate, I was a lot hungrier.

In case anyone else was wondering about the crispy ramen snack. Appears to be veg.
@highonpez Thanks for this - that site’s got a bunch of the others listed as well, with the ingredients pictured. @Xtoff - check it out!
I’m vegetarian and I like ramen… Of course I’m getting this! (WTF was that gif?
Trying again.)
/giphy motley-quicker-ball
@ArmchairGamer
Well my order has been canceled as of May 10th. I guess I’ll never know if these are really “vegetasty”.
Are there any this time that AREN’T spicy?
@PooltoyWolf I think the bolgoki one might not be. The site that @highonpez posted above shows ingredients and has a bunch of the flavors listed. Also maybe the veggie soup ones.
@PooltoyWolf Also the Samgyetang:
https://burgernkimchi.medium.com/samyang-samgyetang-myeon-instant-noodles-review-7a4ae5d2ed44
@PooltoyWolf The Samgyetang, Gomtang and Bulgogi should all be fine. Not sure about the Vegetasty.
@Salanth @Kyeh Thanks, guys!
No specs on the Bulgogi. I like these, but still have a lot left.
Ingredients, please. I almost bought the Vegetasty until I found it has peanuts :-{
Is there anything special about the “snack” ramen, because based on ingredients and instructions it looks just like any other cheap ramen that you can smash up and sprinkle the soup base on before eating dry (which I’ve been doing for decades without ever eating officially “snackified” ramen)
@Turken it’s basically just especially thin/brittle noodles, but yes same thing as you’ve been doing
The ingredient list reads like a Dow or Dupont inventory… and even includes hydrochloric acid. Yum!!
@MrNews Your stomach is already full of that stuff
@troy I know, but feeling like I don’t want any (or the other chemistry-set-contents) in my mouth or esophagus. It’s “foods” like this that are helping drive an alarming increase in gastrointestinal disorders in nearly all first-world nations. Convenient? Yes. Good for you? Ummm, no.
doubtful Georgia Red. . .

Are you kidding me? You expect me to eat all of these by August 24?
@clarion47 Only if you want them at their “Best” – but they’re good for months and months afterwards.
@clarion47 @troy likely years and years…
@clarion47 @TimW @troy Based on experience, I’d say that these have a very good chance of being undiminished in quality for at least six months past the best-before date.
I see what you did there (with your choice of date to offer these)
@paxsarah what did we do here?
Dang of course the one night I fall asleep early (goddamn infant) and didn’t check meh till the morning there was no spicy ramen to be had.
@alchyilee There’s still the 32-pack Extra Spicy! And the “Classic” which should have some spice as well.
@troy whoops poor typo on my end, non* rather than no
Talked to my daughter and ended up ordering four flavors neither of us have had. Given how good the Spicy Chicken Curry flavor we’ve gotten here before, I figure (hope) this won’t be horrible…

Noooooo!! I waited too long to check Meh and the ones I wanted are gone. My sodium levels will never recover!
In for 2 curry 40-packs and sent the link around to family looking for birthday gift ideas. 4 of my last 6 Meh orders have been Buldak and I’m okay with that.
/giphy jumping-grand-flavor
Holy crap! I almost missed this ramen sale when I explicitly requested it. I’m in for another curry and I’ll give kimchi a try while I’m at it.
glorious-quaint-country
20-Pack Korean Gomtang
I got these today and I’m having some now - they’re good, not hot at all, but plenty of flavor.
@kyeh,
Lucky you!

@kyeh,
No, I’ve never tried both the Gomtang and Bulgogi flavors!
One day… One day…
Just tried my Lime and Habanero. Super-hot. Like really really spicy, but also delicious. The texture of the noodles is really spot on. Very happy with this!
@customers Heads up, if you’re out of good ramen, it’s on Meh today, 40 for $30.
And this one got 9/10 on Ranked With Babish:
@dave My wife will literally kill me if any more boxes of Buldak show up before I work my way through the ones we already have. Still waffling about whether to chance it for this deal.
@mikey Ha! That’s a pretty strong marketing pitch. Deals worth the risk of being murdered.
@dave @mikey Same boat. Maybe we should go in on a storage unit.
