I’m confused. I have a hand blender but it doesn’t have a whisk attachment. That seems like something I could get behind, but you say I shouldn’t buy it.
If you already have a hand blender, don’t buy this.
You’re not gonna move product with that kind of copy.
Tell people to buy it anyway so they can experience Stereo Blending, the hottest new time-saving kitchen technique! Popular in Europe! Be the first among your friends to get healthier at twice the speed! You wouldn’t buy a single headphone would you? One shoe? Of course not! Get in on the ground floor!
I use it for soups, making them smooth, like split pea and tomato sauces (careful though, any time you are stirring or pureeing anything hot!), pudding,(low-cal instant pudding with non-fat milk is a decent bedtime snack for me, I’ll load it up with strawberries or blueberries then),cake batter, dressings—lemme open the fridge to jog my memory…of course! Drinks! I won’t smash up ice cubes, but frozen fruit for smoothies works good. . I’m a bachelor, so most things are just for me. I use a glass that the blender will fit all the way down in. Salsas. Keep it handy, and get in the habit of trying it-you’ll be surprised. It cleans so easy too. Alton Brown introduced me to them–if I remember, he had one that was hooked up to a heavy duty cordless drill! The fancy name for these is immersion blender I think. If you have a family, maybe a mixmaster is more practical, but not for me. Because I’m “not rich”, I get one every few years at the Goodwill, but for $8 especially if you have VMP, it’s hard to puree. I mean ‘beat’. Iced coffee would work if you started with chipped ice, but big ice cubes wouldn’t work, I think.
I was on the fence, but after reading the description, I came to realize that the central argument put forth was, in fact, exactly applicable to my own hand-blender ownership situation. The Meh copywriter expertly laid out precisely the scenario where this product would be useful and I have to say that his clear, compelling logical argument is irrefutable.
My only complaint would be about the brevity of the descriptive piece. I’m a long-time believer in the age-old notion that brevity, such as it is, is highly overrated. In fact, I’d have to say that I’m pretty much anti-brevity, though you might not guess it by reading my few posts here.
For $8, I’d buy it just to use my VMP for the month. But I already have this exact hand blender in my kitchen. My daughter bought it for making smoothies. Seems to work well. But, hey, the write up instructed me not to buy it.
@sammydog01 It’s easy and really tasty, IMO. Pro-tip: don’t buy bagged carrots. Takes forever to peel and chop those skinny suckers. My market has over-sized loose carrots, and 3-4 of those gets me to the 2 lb. requirement pretty quickly.
I have one (different brand) and it’s fantastic for (a) making pudding (super smooth) and (b) scrambling eggs. With eggs, it gets air into the mixture which makes them fluffier. Highly recommended.
@HemlockTea Luckily mine only had some water spots, so I guess they at least cleaned the food off before packing it back up and writing 2-27-14 on the outside of the retail box. Looks like it has been sitting around for awhile.
Could I use one of these in the shaker cup Meh sold a few weeks ago (removing the whiskball of course)? I’ve honestly never used an electric blender before.
@cinoclav I pulled off a Pink Meh coffee tumbler for Valentines day out of sheer luck. She opened it and told me she loved it. So I said “Great, thanks for ruining Valentines Day!” Heh, easiest valentines ever… Don’t worry, I have a Dyson to go along with the mixer.
I’m impressed with torque this bad boys got. This is one of those “I’d buy if on clearance at Target, but would never for any other reason” things. It will get used three times.
Best write up ever!
@Ignorant
I’m not sure if I have a hand blender, so I’m not sure if I’ll buy one.
Fuck, with that copy… I AM SOLD.
@haydesigner the copy sold me too.
I’m confused. I have a hand blender but it doesn’t have a whisk attachment. That seems like something I could get behind, but you say I shouldn’t buy it.
I guess I’ll take your word for it.
@russellwilde I guess you’re not a whisk taker.

@Fish_Kungfu
@conandlibrarian This is a great rimshot gif!
/giphy will it blend?

@awk wait! You can make ground floor with this?
Well, I certainly can’t say tl;dr to that write-up
@heartny Sigh, I came to say exactly that. Never mind.
My panasonic is still going strong… thanks meh.
For $8 of course I will buy something to put in the back of my kitchen drawer and use maybe one time.
helluva write-up!
Did Toon decide to take a day off?
@Thumperchick At least @kylethephotoguy showed up for work today. Baby hands!
@Thumperchick -He must be a dad taking a break, following @matthew’s advice.
Top notch write-up!
I actually wanted this. I don’t know what’s going on.
How about if you already have a hand blender, but it is a nice one, and you were wondering how well it would mix paint?
@PocketBrain biggest problem would be the length of the “beater”. If it won’t reach the bottom of the paint can you are hosed.

@wew cool, thanks!
Whether it will actually get used is a good question, but who can argue with a write up like that?
Yay, $1 with my knife refund code!

Guess I will not be buying this.
I’ve always wanted a hand blender! How could I say no to this price!
That zip code though…
Montana is such a gorgeous state.

The write-up was just too convincing.
For $8, I’d buy it just to use my VMP for the month. But I already have this exact hand blender in my kitchen. My daughter bought it for making smoothies. Seems to work well. But, hey, the write up instructed me not to buy it.
Too bad it ain’t cordless. Write up made the wife laugh though.
@medz You’re never out of reach with a Hamilton Beach.
Clearly not paid by the word.
Hey I’d buy this right now if I knew my credit card by heart, but I can’t even use PayPal.
Text me in the morning. Love you sleep tight don’t let the bed bugs bite.
As promised, I’ve been snobby fruity parrot’ed.
Didn’t even know I needed this.

Okay, great write-up, and I now will have one of these. Send it fast!
/giphy flirtatious-fluttering-sign
@Dizavid OW!
I’m mixed up. Can you repeat that?
Classic Meh. I just got this one about 3 weeks ago (for around $20), but haven’t even used it yet. But I have plans. BIG PLANS*.
If I didn’t already have one I would get this one, as instructed.
*carrot ginger soup
@ACraigL Sounds good. Throw us a recipe?
@sammydog01 This is the one I use. The hand blender will save me the trouble of transferring the whole mess into a regular blender, then back again.

@ACraigL Sounds good. i will give it a try.

@shawn the ‘apply today’ bit is pretty genius, bravo

Meh can sell whatever they want tonight and I won’t be mad. WWE gave the world title to the right guy an hour ago/last night.
@JT954 WWE is terrible
@JT954
@hollboll I sent a support email addressed to you Please help out little old forgotten @Foxborn
(well forgotten by everyone other than @oldcatlady )
@Foxborn Good morning! And for tagging me, here’s somebody who’s clearly paying attention. Maybe some of the support staff at meh look like this:
@OldCatLady we can hope. I’m thinking he’s in the packing department and give every order special care.
@Foxborn Damn, I will buy almost ANYTHING if I can have one of those TOO!!! RAWR…lol
Fine! I finally bought something again! Happy?

Voted already had hand blender actually two – left hand and right hand
I have one (different brand) and it’s fantastic for (a) making pudding (super smooth) and (b) scrambling eggs. With eggs, it gets air into the mixture which makes them fluffier. Highly recommended.
I don’t have one. The reviews have convinced me that I still won’t have one. Sometimes it’s just worth spending the extra $10.
This is a pretty good blender. I’ve used it for pureeing squash and such, and for mashed potatoes. Getting it as a possible gift.
This is the first and last time I’ll post my order number, but: respectful-vivacious-rod indeed.
yes, I’m late, but the copy says it all. I love my magic wand. It’s my second most used appliance-after the coffee pot.
@wew What do you use it for? I snagged for, like, pancake batter but not sure when else to use it. Any tips?
@anarchytruck They’re great for making Bulletproof Coffee
@therealjrn Ah, I’ll look into that, thanks
Got mine today. It has dried food particles on it.
@HemlockTea Luckily mine only had some water spots, so I guess they at least cleaned the food off before packing it back up and writing 2-27-14 on the outside of the retail box. Looks like it has been sitting around for awhile.

Doesn’t it hurt to put your hands in a blender? Just wondering.
@chuckf1 Not if you don’t turn it on.
/giphy don’t turn it on
Nifty hand mixer! Now I just need a good hand job to use it on. blink…blink…
/giphy holistic charismatic lark
Great item to have for making a nice ragu or some zooooup
I don’t want my hand blending though or indeed to blend any other hand so I’m lost as there isn’t an option for me on the write up.
Another zombie brand name slapped on a low-quality Chinese import. And I have a high-quality Braun that I only used twice. Meh.
One of the best purchases I ever made off Woot was a stick blender. Only saw it the one time but the thing is an absolute beast.
http://www.woot.com/offers/morphy-richards-food-fusion-hand-blender-may-14
Could I use one of these in the shaker cup Meh sold a few weeks ago (removing the whiskball of course)? I’ve honestly never used an electric blender before.
What does refurbished mean?
Okay, tested how? With actual food? Or just seeing if it turns on?
/giphy test if it turns on
The write up made it easy enough. Now I have a Birthday Present for my Wife.
@mdrcoast Tomorrow on Meh - Do it yourself divorce kits.
@mdrcoast wow! A mixer and a vacuum cleaner? You’re making us all look bad.
@mdrcoast Please tell us you’re either 1) Kidding or 2) Giving her these because she specifically asked for them or 3) Looking for a divorce.
@cinoclav It’s a complex world… I will let you imagine the outcomes. (Glad this is not a Knife Day)
Bought one.
/giphy I’m whipped
…and since it’s metal you can blend hot soup without putting non-bpa plastic in the mix.
Can I buy the write up and skip the meh blender? Or maybe donate it to toys for tots?
/giphy respectful vivacious rod
I’m so ready to make mashed potatoes.
Uh…I guess…blended potatoes?
I’ll make purple blended potatoes and it’ll look like space food.
@vanslaterco I love purple.
@vanslaterco @Barney I love space food.
I’m impressed with torque this bad boys got. This is one of those “I’d buy if on clearance at Target, but would never for any other reason” things. It will get used three times.
@vanslaterco as is the case with most marital aids, but hey the price was right.
Mine stopped working :*( only used it twice and now nothing happens when pressing either I or II. Tried several outlets
