@sum1 so you take 1 of your 2 speakers and set it up. Listen to it and say to yourself “yeah, that sounds right”.
After that, the unused one is the one that’s left.
@OnionSoup no, but they’ll sell you a fancy battery you can recharge with solar panels. It’s $600, but it’s still cheaper than a slightly more elaborate setup from a pricey-er brand name.
They just gonna keep posting the same ol’ crap over and over??!! Come on meh (meh buyers: let’s get on the phone and get some good speakers in here! Self powered, 90 watt, book shelf speaker.) Brand name like JBL ETC.
JVC - Japan Victor Company. They are now merged with Kenwood.
JBL - James Bullough Lansing (The name of the founder.) They became part of Harman International Industries, Inc. in the 1960s. Harman owns many other brands as well.
@Drez143@yakkoTDI Yup JVC used to be the on the premium end of home video equipment, which was namely VHS, and also a complete line of monitors (CRT… was there any other kind?) for both home and professional use. Sony also offered premium equipment for home and professional use, but made an ill-fated detour through their doomed but superior Beta tape system. (For home 1/2” tape systems. As far as I know the larger tape systems (3/4 or 1”, can’t remember which was normal) for commercial used powered-on for many more years)
When manufacturers find they need products to fill “holes” in their lineup but don’t want to invest in the R&D to create a product from scratch, they find a company that makes what they think they need and put their name on it. Years ago when compact cameras hit big, the makers of larger cameras found smaller ones made by someone else, and rebranded them. Pentax went to Goko, Leica went to Minolta, etc. I think these speakers and the earlier headphones are just such products.

This is not the JVC that vibrates the concrete.
@yakkoTDI You forgot the link dummy.
I already bought this during the mehrathon. Post something new
@dannokun meh
I hope these are better than the $15 JVC headphones.
@radi0j0hn narrator: they were not.
Am I time traveling? I think I’ve seen these before.
@DLPanther It is all your fault.
@DLPanther time is a flat circle, just like the bass response on these.
My worst nightmare realized. A Mehrathon that was an abbreviated preview of everything to be sold in the coming year.
@tweezak Well, due to time travel, the mehrathon was actually everything they already sold in the coming year.
@tweezak @xobzoo that’s much more depressing than I thought it would be.
Amazon review says you can only connect one at a time, this listing makes it seem like they can be used dually, which is very misleading

Isn’t the English language fun?
Any solar powered outdoor speakers in that warehouse of yours?
@OnionSoup no, but they’ll sell you a fancy battery you can recharge with solar panels. It’s $600, but it’s still cheaper than a slightly more elaborate setup from a pricey-er brand name.
It’s deja vu all over again…

JVC and JBL are the same, ya?
@Drez143 No.
JVC - Japan Victor Company. They are now merged with Kenwood.
JBL - James Bullough Lansing (The name of the founder.) They became part of Harman International Industries, Inc. in the 1960s. Harman owns many other brands as well.
@yakkoTDI I don’t know about that. JBL sure sounds a lot like JVC.
I think they are one in the same.

@pmarin @yakkoTDI so buy six of these is what you are saying?

So it’s basically just wireless speakers, portable chargers, or Stroop waffles from now on, right?
@admiralpoopants
/image cartoon is there anything more to life?
@admiralpoopants Hmm, well, that’s charmingly positive. Was not in the mood for that.
“Read a good books”?
@werehatrack At least one books.
@pmarin Me neither
Not sure wth I just ordered. Pretty sure it wont make a margarita so im bummed.
Excellent quality and sound. Highly recommend!!
