After 11 Years, Meh is Telling Me to Pack Sand

Yep - I’ve been enrolled in VMP since the very beginning and placed quite a few orders here… Earlier in May, my credit card was compromised and I had to get a new card - and I forgot to update my Meh account with my new CC info.
I noticed THE SAME DAY that they tried billing my renewal charge and immediately updated my payment information and opened a ticket asking that they re-instate my membership.
The response I received?
"Hello,
Thank you for reaching out.
I looked up your account and it shows that the membership renewal charge failed and could not be processed on 05/29/2026. As a result, the membership was canceled.
Unfortunately, when the VMP membership is canceled, you cannot rejoin. You are passed on to our current membership rate.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
Let us know if you have any other questions."
I’ve replied asking that they escalate the issue and consider the fact that I updated my information as soon as the charge was attempted and pointed out that I’ve been a member since the beginning…
I’m also posting here in hopes someone sees this that can make the better call…
Meh, are you willing to lose me as a customer over an extra $3.99 a month?

I just checked and see you asked for your case to be escalated about 10 minutes ago.
Give our cs manager a chance to respond to you when he gets back in tomorrow.

I have been a Member since Nov 2019. (NOT a MVP)
Now due to the fact that they are Raising the Member rate by several bucks & I am now on a Tight fixed income I also also leaving! Also due to the limited income I have NOT bought much in the past year or so. Now I doubt I will anymore. Yes I will still be a member of the message base & a framer goat of the month!

Yes, I’ve lost my status of being a VMP since day one (or around there) but thankfully I have been re-instated. My wife won’t be happy… but my days of buying crap I don’t need are not over yet!

@macromeh @testoclesarroyo my dad actually made us do this that one time we went to the beach: fill our buckets and backpacks with sand to take home.
It sounds like it could be whimsical so a toddler could make sandcastles on their porch or something, but he wanted it for his potted plants.
