@RiotDemon Derby votes; that got 1,800 votes. Nowadays, it can take less than 100 votes for first place.
Adder is an ex-Wooter who argued a lot about what designs constituted as art or not. He was highly critical of Ramy because he mostly did cutesy and/or pop-culture stuff – which he had a point, except he was extremely verbose about it and was about as abrasive as shards of glass mixed with broken gravel.
@narfcake I don’t understand people that make it their mission in life to criticize the fuck out of people on the internet.
@RiotDemon My guess is they feel powerless in real life so they try to act big on the internet.
To be fair, I felt that some of Ramy’s art then was indeed “slapped together with little regard to any integrity”, and his many wins, derby after derby, along with his girlfriend then did make him look very suspicious – so suspicious I was tracking sales figures for over a year trying to prove he was cheating to keep his sales up. Well, that actually proved the opposite – he wasn’t manipulating the reckoning (top 20) sales like many suspected. Additionally, one of his designs was 30th place in votes on a double take (aka second chance) derby, but was given an editor’s choice to print. It ended up outselling all the other designs in that derby AND the designs from the derby it originally competed in, which removed any doubt about voters automatically voting him every week for “a guaranteed win”.

Last thing I need is more shirts. So I ordered four of them… All shirts I had seen before and considered but didn’t want to spend my money on them. This sale was too good to pass up.

I had all these shirts planned to buy, and then things happened that day.
Now feel discouraged from buying anything cause po’ed at self for that and for other reasons.
