Free concert tickets..ticketmaster settlement
10If you bought through ticketmaster between 1999-2013 you could have some free vouchers in your account. These can only be redeemed for the listed events, and only are the general admission/lawn tickets.

I have 13 free pair of ticket codes and not a single event in my state. So sad trombone for me.

@MrMark can they be resold?
@therealjrn It appears you can. I just “bought” 4 tickets, for one concert in another state close to me, and surprisingly they let you sell them directly through their site on the resale market. The face value is listed at the $40.50 each they would have been if not for the free voucher.
@MrMark Neat! I’ve never used TicketMaster so no freebies for me, but it appears equitable.
just saw this yesterday as well. right now, i just have a $2.25 coupon. article said the eligible event list is still in flux. so, the vouchers may not be in people’s account until that list stops fluxing.
edit: just checked my account again and the ticket voucher is there now.
edit2: anyone figure out how to search the eligible event list by location?
edit3: Rob Zombie on july 27th in Auburn, WA. too bad it’s a wednesday.
edit4: Snoop Dogg!!
@carl669 You can click on the location to sort by city. But can’t look by state.
@MrMark they’re definitely not going to make this easy.
I have nothing. I guess I didn’t go to enough concerts.
It’s a cool thing but sadly, as with most such cases, the attorneys are the ones who really made money off of this:
"Under the Settlement, Ticketmaster will pay all of the attorneys’ fees and out-of-pocket expenses for the attorneys that have been certified to represent the Class and for the costs of administering the Settlement. You will not be required to pay any attorneys’ fees or costs from your share of the Settlement.
Lead Class Counsel filed with the Court an application (the “Fee Motion”) asking for an award of up to $14,960,000 in attorneys’ fees, which represents a “multiplier” of less than 1.9 times Lead Class Counsel’s “lodestar” (the amount of time the lawyers for the Class have spent working on this case over the past ten years, multiplied by their hourly rates, as of March 31, 2012). Lead Class Counsel also sought to recover the costs and expenses they have spent pursuing this case, not to exceed $1.5 million.
On February 27, 2015, the Court entered an order granting the Fee Motion and approving Lead Class Counsel’s attorneys’ fees in the amount of $14,960,000 and costs and expenses in the amount of $1,230,871.11. Ticketmaster will pay attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses to Lead Class Counsel in these amounts as ordered by the Court. These amounts are in addition to any other recoveries provided for in the Settlement. They do not come out of, and will not affect, the recoveries available to you and other Class Members."
This on a $45M settlement of a $400M class action lawsuit. It is truly good to be a lawyer.

. What are the terms and conditions of using the Ticket Codes?
Each Class Member who made a purchase transaction on www.ticketmaster.com between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, received on or around June 18, 2016, at least one Ticket Code potentially redeemable for two tickets for concert events at Live Nation owned or operated venues, subject to availability and limitations (described generally below and in more detail in the Settlement Agreement and Release). Individual Class Members received one Ticket Code for each purchase transaction during the Class Period, up to a maximum of 17 Ticket Codes. You may redeem your Ticket Codes on eligible transactions at www.ticketmaster.com. A dedicated website located at http://concerts.livenation.com/microsite/settlement has been established so you can readily see events, once they are identified, where Ticket Codes may be used. Please note the following regarding using any Ticket Codes you are eligible to receive.

No wonder it keeps taking so long for mine to load… 17 free vouchers, and lots o 2.25 credits…
Tried getting tickets to one of the shows. Getting this error when I put in the voucher code:
The code I am putting in is definitely a ticket code.
@bruceoite same here… finally found something I would enjoy to see and was conveniently located… sad trombone for me too…
@mikibell I refreshed the list of concerts and the one I was attempting to get tickets for is now gone from the list. The site had like 490 concerts when I looked this morning, and now it is down to less than 400.
I keep getting errors when I try to purchase my tickets.
Cool. Two vouchers and two discount codes.

No vouchers for me.

@lumpthar whoa, that’s a rather creepy gif… and I want to hear it in action!
And don’t forget the Amazon/Apple settlement for ebooks! I’ve heard of lots of people getting excellent credits on Amazon (although I didn’t get any ): https://www.amazon.com/Kindle-eBooks/b?ie=UTF8&node=14741166011
@luvche21. $1.57 for me. Apparently i attend concerts and events a lot more than I read.
@MrMark I didn’t get either, although I do buy Kindle books and have bought through Ticketmaster before, but I guess not enough of either.
@luvche21 I didn’t get any Amazon credits either, although I’ve bought about 600 books in the last four years. Drat.
@magic_cave well, I haven’t bought nearly that many (only a handful), but would have loved some free credit
I’m super surprised you didn’t get any though!
Seems like the $2.25 credits are stackable, too. I was able to add more than one to an order I was looking at the other night (didn’t fully checkout, though).
16 discount codes and not a single concert in the state of Tennessee.
@AuntEah There were a ton last night when I checked, but this morning the list is completely different. Not that it matters. I get an error message when I try to redeem the vouchers anyway.
Thanks for reminding me to check. I have 8 of each. Guess I better use them before more concerts drop of the list. I don’t seem to be getting any Kindle credits but I’m supposed to be getting Nook/Barnes and Noble ones per an email I received recently. As much as I read, I’ll take what I can get.
One ticket code, but not a single show in all of Michigan. Unless I want to make a road trip to Cleveland, Ohio. Not worth saving $2.25. Class action lawsuits aggravate me.
@katbyter it’s okay, the lawyers made $15M
5 ticket vouchers plus a handful of discount codes. Nothing even in bordering states for me.
Looks like the list is going to change frequently. They are allowing a certain number of the vouchers per show. The vouchers are good through 2020 and maybe longer. I see 2 shows that I would like now but I think I will wait and see what comes along later.
looks like i have a choice between Rob Zombie, Snoop Dogg and Hall and Oates.
/giphy decisions decisions.
(there was another one, but i didn’t know any of the bands playing except for Anthrax)
@carl669 oh my god that GIF!..
I have what seems to be about 30 $2.25 vouchers and perhaps 6-8 full tickets. (We’ve gone to a lot shows in the time period involved.) At the rate the page is loading though, the 2020 deadline will pass before I can see what any of the specified shows are.
