@upbeatanime I have seen, and purchased, these for less. They pop up on slickdeals from time to time. Although, $180 for the refurb base unit is a good price.
Bought the full Frankenstein model of this bastard a few months ago. Tons of attachments, most I may never use, but it was such a solid deal. One of the best parts actually was dealing with Dyson's CS. Got a replacement part brand new within a week of my inquiry.
Looks like Meh and Dyson are back in bed together after a small break. Surprised she took Meh back after all those 1 night stands with those shady blade deals lately. Meh is irresistible AND well endowed:)
@Stallion Meh also manages to come up with new, exciting, passionate adventures every night. Maximum of three times. And sometimes there's a wifi camera involved.
This thing loses suction. Don't you all pay attention to Mr Dyson's commercials? You need to buy the newest, bestest Dyson Cinetic to be a truly happy vacuumer.
Seems like a nice touch for Meh to take the Dyson (refurb) 6 month warranty and round it up to a full year as in past Meh offerings of this deal. (Be sure to note that with a sharpie somewhere on this contraption.)
@awk ooops, looks like I got mine the next time on woot: "Your order for 1 Dyson DC18 Slim All-Floor Vacuum on 07/10/2008 has been recently shipped via FEDEX"
I really want the frankenmeh, but it is just a little too much overbudget. (completely overbudget since there's currently no budget at all for vacuums.) Hey Meh! Why didn't I get one of these in my Fuko?!
$260.00 dollars is a lot of money. I am afraid to buy it and it does not work and then I am screwed out of $260.00 dollars. I admit, I have trust issues.
@communist Not sure. I will say my oldest purchases in 2006 seems to be doing a great job. perhaps it has lost some suction, but not a significant enough of it for me to notice. The stick one purchased around 2012 is the one used most often, seems to be doing the same. While it isn't as good as the full size, the ease and convenience of battery is great for small jobs. the third is still in a box. purchased it for the upstairs of the house we are building that I sent finished yet.
I'm starting to wonder if MVP contribution of $5 a month for free shipping is worth the money. I will give it one more month and hopefully there will be something on The site worth buying. I'm losing interest fast.
@samnrick If you haven't bought anything, why not cancel and get a refund for at least the last $5 fee that you paid. And then when you are ready to buy, sign up for VMP at that time again. Keep it for 60 days and if you don't buy anything within that 60 days, cancel and get the second $5 back (you will be charged $10 within that period and qualify for only one of those charges back)
I've owned three Dysons in the last 10 years... All three have failed for one reason or the other. If you want a reasonably priced vacuum, buy the shark rotator - not kidding... About 200 bucks and it Works like a champ- check out the shark reviews; totally legit.
It's awesome. It's the first time to purchase Dyson's product. I've been always heard of its advantage compared to competitors' one. I'm looking at and waiting for this stuff. I gonna love it!
irritating-weedy-derby This will be Dyson #2. The 1st one is still sucking hard after 6+ years. Now we can have one for each floor of the house and that will be cool.
I was thinking about getting this sucker but then I went through the Amazon reviews. Sounds like it has some pretty terrible design flaws. Anyone that's buying this because "DYSON" should probably read up and rethink it.
@Romulux I bought the Frankenstein from here on Dec 31 and the family loves it. Dont know what the 'flaws' are but we don't have any complaints. It does a very good job at sucking, which is what we wanted. The accessories are just a great bonus at this price. I checked through amazon reviews and it looks like the few people complaining didn't bother to learn how to use the machine. If you just want a noisy rug sweeper don't get this. This deal for this vacuum is a great one.
I have one of the old school yellow Dysons that I bought like 8 years ago. So I decided to get one of these newer ones with the ball. There's no comparison, these are crap. I actually use the old one way more.
Ironic that they used a cat head today as it was one year ago today that I had to put my cat to sleep. In his memory I'm out having dinner and drinks. Lots of drinks.
The next time you sell this you should offer the "upgrade package" for those of us who already bought the base model last time. I would have bought all the add-ons this time around, but don't need another vacuum.
If the accessories and the vacuum are shipped separately, why don't we get tracking numbers on both? According to my tracking number, there was only one small package shipped. When will the rest be delivered? Also, I tried sending an email for help, but no one has gotten back to me on it.
Anyone else receive a DC41 with no serial number? I've looked in all of the places listed on Dyson's website (and even where their customer support said it should be) and it's not there. Was going to register my product, but Dyson is pointing at Meh.com and Meh, well, they haven't gotten back to me.
aaaaand this response just in from Dyson: "Meh.com is not an authorized seller of Dyson. If the serial number is not on the manual or the underneath the handle, it has been removed. We do not warranty purchases from Meh.com and without the serial number we can not register your unit. We sincerely apologize about any inconvenience this has caused. We recommend contacting the seller for the serial number."
...not the best first experience with Meh, needless to say.
@achoren in the past Dyson has been very willing to help with purchases from here, in the future be sure to mention "A Mediocre Corporation" instead of just meh.com. Give us a shout at https://meh.com/support and we'll get it worked out with you.
@JonT Thanks, but all signs point to Dyson not helping and Meh having been the wrong site to purchase the vacuum from. The latest response I received from Dyson was, "In regards to your inquiry, www.meh.com is not an autjorized retailer for Dyson products so we are unable to apply any warranty coverage to any meh.com purchases." Still no response from Meh, Case #25404.
Thanks, JonT. I sent another message to Dyson indicating my purchase was via "A Mediocre Corporation" asking if there is any additional help they can provide. I did contact Meh support yesterday with a reference Case #25404. I haven't received any contact from that other than "We’re not here now, we’ll get back to you soon." I guess for now I'm just hanging out now in Meh/Dyson purgatory seeing who can make a move to help!
I was so happy about the 220.00 animal I purchased at Meh. Until two days after it arrived, my former lover, Woot, offered same for 199. Fool me once, shame on meh. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't be fooled again. Bu-Bye meh.
Alright so my mehmachine (dc41) broke the day I got it. Hot smell and then popping noise and died. they told me to call dyson after a few days wait (the no wknd support is hard) when I got throught to dyson they sent me back to meh. Meh said, they'll make an "exception" and take it back to send me another. what do you mean an exception, meh? Youre the one that stuck me with a broken machine in the first place.
The whole experience had been sub-meh. I just wanted a vaccuum. 😡
So after a back and forth email with meh they issued me a return label. I have returned it and now theyre telling me they have to go through the process of going throufh their returns to send me a new one. by next week it will officially have been a month since i ordered this thing To begin with. If you dont have the manpower to handle the demand then fine, but there is no excuse for the inefficiency. Seriously starting to doubt that ill ever order from meh again, and certainly i would never recommend meh to anyone i know for the fear of this type of service and experience.
@heezy you should have a response from our CS team now, we'll be getting your replacement shipped out with upgraded shipping today. Sorry for the frustrating experience.

Vacuums? I'm tempted by the tool kit though. I got my Dyson second-hand and it didn't come with anything as far as accessories.
Hmm.. I'd like to have robot vacuum..
@awhosit I tried one but it freaked out the dogs too much. My little one kept trying to stalk it and attack when it's back was turned.
@ruouttaurmind It freaked the dogs out? Mine freaked out because of the dogs...the dog hair of course. Roomba fail.
where these not cheaper before, or am i thinking of a different vacuum they sold?
@upbeatanime Nope. The September 26th sale was same price.
I'm a nature boy.....and as everyone knows, nature abhors a vacuum.....
@eeterrific WHOOOOO!
I already bought a Dyson Animal off Woot last year...sorry Meh...
Those cleaning accessories are a fortune to purchase separately. The Frankenstein deal is a steal at this price.
Related question... can I ever buy those separately, without the vacuum? I already have the Animal.
I love my Dyson animal...I found one on an obscure clearance in a Home Depot for $80. I love mine.
@awk Ha, Go Meh! I bet Meh is secretly called the "Trojan Man" by his product victims too.
This thing loses suction. Don't you all pay attention to Mr Dyson's commercials? You need to buy the newest, bestest Dyson Cinetic to be a truly happy vacuumer.
Bought the Animal last time. This is a superbly designed machine. Completely love it.
unbeatable-traditional-aftermath because I can only be tempted so many times before breaking. I'm only human!!!
Seems like a nice touch for Meh to take the Dyson (refurb) 6 month warranty and round it up to a full year as in past Meh offerings of this deal. (Be sure to note that with a sharpie somewhere on this contraption.)
If our ancient early-gen Dyson weren't still sucking (couldn't resist) we'd grab one of these.
I'm still using the refurb Dyson I got from Woot back in 2007! Still works great. Otherwise, I'd be vigorously buying this with both hands.
@awk Same here. Still works great.
What do I want to say?
Already have an animal complete. I think we paid like $550 for it. Works awesome. For this price, I'd consider picking up another one.
$260.00 dollars is a lot of money. I am afraid to buy it and it does not work and then I am screwed out of $260.00 dollars. I admit, I have trust issues.
@mick Are you also afraid the warranty will only be honored by spiders at the edge of sheer drop in the dark?
Sorry Meh, I don't need a 4th Dyson. You need to start doing a better job of posting sales that I need. I mean is that too much to ask?
@MrMark Since you didn't specify what you need, I'm sure we can all safely assume you need more speaker docks.
@MrMark how do you like your other 3, did any of them lose suction ?
@jeffrebbeck I could use a few more... Here's hoping the fuko has some!
@communist Not sure. I will say my oldest purchases in 2006 seems to be doing a great job. perhaps it has lost some suction, but not a significant enough of it for me to notice. The stick one purchased around 2012 is the one used most often, seems to be doing the same. @jeffrebbeck Need knives, fukus, and helicopters. Oh and I almost forgot, speaker docks.
Want option without the "Tangle-free Turbine Head" - Want the (5) tools with base DC41. Would be on this likity-spit - what say you?
I'm starting to wonder if MVP contribution of $5 a month for free shipping is worth the money. I will give it one more month and hopefully there will be something on The site worth buying. I'm losing interest fast.

The color sucks.
I'm so looking for a cordless Dyson with detachable hand unit. I'd jump on that like Irk doing the Mashed Potato.
that thing looks like it can time travel
I've owned three Dysons in the last 10 years... All three have failed for one reason or the other. If you want a reasonably priced vacuum, buy the shark rotator - not kidding... About 200 bucks and it Works like a champ- check out the shark reviews; totally legit.
I wouldby but a Dyson even for 100 bucks!
It's awesome. It's the first time to purchase Dyson's product. I've been always heard of its advantage compared to competitors' one. I'm looking at and waiting for this stuff. I gonna love it!
Seriously, meh? If we wanted a Dyson, we'd go to dyson.woot.com
OK, so I clearly need a vacuum, but do I need my gall bladder?
can't dock, no bluetooth, NOT BABY ARM COMPATIBLE, why would anyone buy this?
irritating-weedy-derby
This will be Dyson #2. The 1st one is still sucking hard after 6+ years. Now we can have one for each floor of the house and that will be cool.

Is this a Dyson or Tyson. Champion of the world?
Request option without "Tangle-free Turbine Head." Is there any possibility??? Can I get a price for such???
@garydude According to the chart, it looks like the base model for $180 does not come with that object so you can get it the way you want.
Can one purchase the (5) Extra tools separately (as listed with the "Frankenstein" option)??? Can I get a price on that.
@garydude Not from Meh today. You can get them by clicking on the links at the top of this page in the "Price Check" area.
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
The next time you sell this you should offer the "upgrade package" for those of us who already bought the base model last time. I would have bought all the add-ons this time around, but don't need another vacuum.
So a base unit arrived today. I ordered a Frankenstein. Do my accessories arrive in a separate shipment?
@rework Yes, your accessories will be delivered separately.
God damn it, I ordered a base and an animal arrived instead, you guys suck, cant ever get this right.
Oh wait...nevermind that last post
I'm real happy with this, got a new baby coming and baby proofing like a motherfucking animal. Thanks meh
If the accessories and the vacuum are shipped separately, why don't we get tracking numbers on both? According to my tracking number, there was only one small package shipped. When will the rest be delivered?

Yeah meh you should've known better.
@Ignorant I see another fanfight in the making.
(FWIW, I paid $15 for my Dyson from Goodwill.)
Alright so my mehmachine (dc41) broke the day I got it. Hot smell and then popping noise and died.
