Did volcanoes kill the dinosaurs?
2Hello everyone,
Dinosaurs are known to have appeared on earth for a long time. They appeared when humans were not yet proliferated on earth. Today, this animal is extinct. People who want to learn about it today can only rely on the models and recorded documents. Dinosaurs are an extremely large animal so it may not be human hunting that led to its extinction. So could the volcanic eruption lead to the extinction of the dinosaurs? Can anyone tell me the answer?
Thanks everyone.

Yes. At least some extinction events. It happened several times.
I suspect you may find the answer in some Disney animation. You could use your laptop at a honeymoon location to watch it.
@mehcuda67 after learning how to use google so you don’t ask us to find you that movie.
“not yet proliferated”…
“it may not be human hunting that led to its distinction”…
Not yet proliferated is a massive understatement.
Unless science (and The Flintstones) is terribly mistaken, humans and dinosaurs never co-existed.
As far as volcanos are concerned, while a mass world-wide EVERYTHING IS BURNING AND ON FIRE event is certainly possible, volcanic eruption in and of itself (if it was the root cause) in this manner most likely did not kill the dinosaurs. I say this because humans and a crazy amount of all life (don’t forget plants, fungi, bacteria, etc!) exist today. If things got that bad, it would be unlikely that most kinds of life would exist today.
If volcanic eruption were the primary cause of dinosaur extinction, they would have died out due to a couple (if not more) root causes.
A comet, for the same reasons, could have done the same thing for the same reasons as stated above.
I am by no means a professional but I saw your post and for some reason really wanted to help you out. Please, if anyone knows a lot more, please weigh in.
@shiranissosexy So I just looked at your post history and most likely assume you’re either a bot or posting these (could also be a bot) to gather data on us. In any case, if you do happen to be a genuine person in need of scholarly help, I hope my answer suffices.
@shiranissosexy Great answer - maybe someone else will benefit if the OP is a bot.
I don’t get what they’re up to in that case, though…so strange.
@Kyeh @shiranissosexy Or someone wanting us to do their homework for them or their kid? Or it could be someone doing a more updated version of the school assignment which is to join a community, post something and see how folks respond. We’ve cycled through that a bunch of times in the past.
@Kidsandliz @shiranissosexy I see. And if it IS a bot, what’s up with that?
@Kyeh @shiranissosexy If it is a bot it is likely to give people with nothing to do something marginally better than nothing to do?
@Kidsandliz @shiranissosexy I didn’t know they were so magnanimous!
@Kyeh @shiranissosexy Maybe the class assignment is: Create a bot to carry on a conversation on a forum. Might be a Russian spy school bot assignment though since the English is foreign style awkward and in another thread they found it necessary to specify they are from “Ohaio, USA.”
Of course having a response (on another thread) of “thank you very much” to each comment, even when the comment was a joke means likely this is a Russian cousin of mediocrebot - not as sophisticated though since no emoji use in its answers. And likely a dumber bot as trying to infiltrate meh isn’t going to help them rule the world.
Oh wait. It might be a smarter bot if the goal is to figure out how to corner the market on irks. Then they will get rich selling us the secret. Then when we send money they will steal our identity and try to be the bot version of each of us? Then write the updated version of George Orwell’s 1984 book, hoping to turn it into a new Disney hit?
@Kidsandliz
That’s so twisted.
.

.I love it !!
@shiranissosexy
Or perhaps the theorized dino-killer asteroid that created the round depression delineated by the Yucatan Peninsula?
…and spread a thin layer of iridium worldwide in the sedimentation layer associated with that era in time.
Tune in next week for the next exciting nonsense bot question.
@Ignorant Yeah you already called him out

@Kidsandliz yes, I’m aware.
Dinosaurs are not extinct. Birds are dinosaurs.
@mossygreen Hey Walter did you know you are a dinosaur? Does @felton10 know or are you keeping this a secret from him so as not to scare him?
@Kidsandliz @mossygreen We read that some time back especially that his legs and talons are dinosaur like. That is one of the secrets we have been keeping from him-the other being that he was adopted.
@mossygreen yes, and I’ve seen lots of birds but I’ve never seen an active volcano. My theory is that volcanoes didn’t kill dinosaurs, but dinosaurs killed all the volcanoes.
@mossygreen @OnionSoup They missed this one

@Kyeh @mossygreen how do I know that’s not a deepfake of a termite mound?
Perhaps they should turn Iceland into a real-life Jurassic park to solve their pesky volcano problem.
@mossygreen @OnionSoup Nah - I’d prefer a volcano problem to a dinosaur problem, really.
@Felton10 @Kidsandliz @mossygreen I’ve called out that tiny dino multiple times just saying. Have you not noticed he stomps around on patrol instead of flying?
Ten million years from now, an AI dinosaur bot will be asking this question on the mental holonet about humans.
Let’s hope that dinosaur is purple.
@djslack What if the we’re all part of the Matrix and the dinosaurs are just harvesting us for food?
@djslack You hope the dinosaur is purple?
You want mankind to be replaced by Barney the dinosaur?
Hey, @mediocrebot is Barneybot a real bot?
@djslack @mediocrebot @OnionSoup I think they threw the barneybot down the volcano or used it as dinosaur bait.
@djslack @mediocrebot @OnionSoup Whakaari/White Island volcano already has a purple dinosaur that was first spotted in 2004. His name is not Barney as he is the original purple dinosaur.
Or did dinosaurs go back to their own planet after a disastrous battle with another galactic space empire and the bones we’re finding the remains of their fallen soldiers? We’ll never know.
@Targaryen Dinosaur soldiers in space… hmm? How do you start a triceratop?
KuoH
@Targaryen ffs. Everyone knows they went into stasis underground.

Dinosaurs were not ll extremely large animals. The Velociraptor** is about the size of a large chicken. That is much smaller than humans.
**Those were not Velociraptors in Jurassic Park. If based on a real dinosaur they would be more closer related to the Utah Raptor.
@yakkoTDI Clearly not correct:
well, I don’t know… let’s ask the experts
/eightball Did volcanoes kill the dinosaurs?
Better not tell you now
@chienfou
well, there you have it.
I mean if nothing else… We can at least appreciate that Coupon92123 probably gives some small comfort to the paranoid about the intelligence of bots. Although idk about feeding the damn thing
@unksol I’m guessing you feed the damn thing electrons prepared as electricity, although I’d suggest in this case we feed it high voltage food and cook by frying it.
@Kidsandliz just remember when he figures out how to nuke us you trained him lol
