@jeffodw entertaining emails… I wish I got those! Somehow I stopped getting the meh specific emails years ago (while I still get sidedeal/morningsave) and have never been able to figure out why or fix it . So I’m really getting ripped off with my vmp without getting the emails, I guess

@Kyeh yes, and tried turning it off and then back on again too lol . Also searched and checked spam filters to make sure I didn’t accidently mark them spam in the past. Even tried support to see if maybe it was something on their end. No luck so far 🥺

@Kyeh also, I do actually get forum notification emails from meh, just not their “newsletter” type emails.

You also get free shipping on casemates, which makes it worth it for me (vs $1/bottle, so if I order from there at all in a month, I’m saving. It’s a rare month there’s not at least one offering I want.)

That was my same rationale, but lately my wife has been vetoing my case buys on the grounds that “we have too much”. Just means I have to drink more often to justify replenishing our stock I guess. I guess it is kind of a bummer that we don’t get VMP hour or whatever on mehrathons any more, but I’ve never managed to be checking the site at the right time to get an IRK/Fukubukuro anyway, and I’ve been trying since the BoC days on the old site. Either way, $5/month hasn’t bankrupted me yet.

@baims @jeffodw oh man. How much did it cost for those socks? Must have been at least 100$ for me. Sadly I lost one sock within a few months but boy was a that a great time.

To be clear, I missed some of the earliest shenanigans (I’d call that “day zero”), but I joined before meh was even a thing and got in on the kickstarter and very first fuku; VMP, so they tell me, from July 2014.

It’s been more than worth it for me. In any case, I’ve wasted more for less.

@mikey Retaining VMP to me can be a mental tax write-off. I don’t monetarily do better by remaining as a VMP, though I feel better remaining as one.

@er1c If there was a payment issue (such as an expired card), meh can manually reinstate VMP once the info gets updated. This is a possibility why @LindyNC73’s renewal says March 2021.
