I miss the Meh days of knives, speaker docs, and insulated cups. Now Meh is all Keto, creams, and air filters. What happened to the weird innovations that didn’t sell.
WHY is everyone poo pooing this air purifier?
We’ve been using one that we got in a IRK a while back and when my sister came to visit last week (without knowing we had an air purifier) she was saying how nice it was in here. She said as soon as she walked in the door it not only smelled really fresh but it wasn’t dry, the air felt moist but not humid. She isn’t the type of person who would usually say something like that so I was really surprised. Obviously, it was all because of the new air purifier. Thanks Meh!
@Lynnerizer@plumpear I have this exact model from a few months ago, and was thinking of buying another. It’s also been on sidedeal for a while if you miss it here.
I think it works well and is quiet. Seems well-built. I didn’t try the net connection/app yet. Main bonus of the deal is getting the 4 extra filters (2 boxes of 2 in retail package). IMHO makes this a great deal.
Note this is a room-size not a « whole house » size.
@plumpear I didn’t see your questions about this air purifier until just now, and I don’t have this same exact model. @pmarin is the one who spoke about this model so he most probably can answer your question about the replacement filters.
Down below (or above) you’ll see where @bgreenw said they used the app to turn off the nightlight.
From what I’ve read here in this thread, THIS particular air purifier is still available on Side Deal if you’re interested.
Huh. I thought I commented last night. I bought this air purifier last time it was up for sale here. I really like it. It works better than the ones I have elsewhere in my house. One of my chickens is sick, so I have her in the house for round the clock care. The air cleaner is next to the little pen she’s in, and it’s handling the odor of her squirty butt magnificently. Can’t even tell there’s a bird in the house.
Apparently does not meet California clean air requirements so cannot be shipped to California, per Amazon.
I’m still laughing. An air purifier that doesn’t meet clean air requirements?
@FinnishSisu I haven’t looked, does it actually say that it doesn’t meet California clean air requirements, or just that it doesn’t meet California’s really weird and bizarre labeling requirements? There are lots of things that don’t meet that, and it has nothing to do with their actual utility or fitness for purpose
@FinnishSisu@werehatrack clean air requirements were for things like gas lawn mowers and generators. Almost everything has a Prop 65 warning which means there is some item of a rubber seal or plastic or some other thing.
@bdao321 Frequency of filter replacement depends on the amount of crud in your air and the operational blower speed selected. There have been comments made about a lack of replacement air filter elements on Amazon. There may be other sources; I have not checked for this.
Chinese spyware? Why the hell would I want to connect this thing to my Wifi? There’s no timer setting manually you can only put a timer through the app which requires your wifi. So dumb.

@hchavers knives, the weirdest innovation

@hchavers i want my hundred fidget spinners again
@hchavers People used to complain about that other shit too.
I’m holding out for more candy corn.
@gertiestn And a bigger hammer.

@Lynnerizer
Because we can.
@Lynnerizer Is it this exact model that you have?

@Lynnerizer Ok thanks very much for the info!
@Lynnerizer Sorry going to bug again… can you turn off the night light? And where will you get replacement filters when you need them?
@Lynnerizer @plumpear @pmarin My mom likes air, will she be happy with this?
@Lynnerizer @plumpear I use the app to turn off the night light.

@Lynnerizer Thanks so much for your help
@plumpear You’re welcome, good luck with whichever one you choose!

Déjà pew.
@ircon96 if it works well it removes the pew.
@pmarin Exactly! Congratulations, you cracked the code.
Had to go to Amazon to find out how this thing is powered. Corded electric, not usable for my purposes.

@Pony Thanks, now I have ‘chicken squirty butt’ stuck in my head.
@pmarin My work here is done.
@Pony So are you saying I should buy 2?
Will it be here by Christmas?
@IAMIS 2026? Maybe

Sooooo additional filters are not available per Amazon?!? Can anyone confirm that the suggested one on Amazon would fit?
Just bought a second one- I think it would be good to have one in our lounge.

How often am I going to have to replace the air filter, people here are saying I can’t even buy the filters?
